Jesus Christ said: "But Whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the Living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but My Father which is in Heaven. And I say unto thee, That thou art Peter (gr. petros - a stone) and upon this Rock (gr. Petra - a huge Rock - Christ Himself) I will build My Church (gr. Ekklesia - called out ones) and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it. (Matt.1:18). It is sheer NONSENSE that Jesus Christ would build His Church upon a fallible human being.!!! The Church is NOT built upon a little stone but upon Christ Himself, Who is the Rock of Ages. To show how foolish the Roman Catholic doctrine of St. Peter being the Rock upon which Christ's Church is built is so nonsensical it is hardly worth commenting on. A few verses after Peter's confession of Who Christ is, Peter puffed with pride REBUKED Jesus, and our Saviour called him Satan, hardly something you could build the Body of Christ on: "From that time forth began Jesus to show His disciples, how that He must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. Then Peter TOOK HIM and began to REBUKE HIM, saying, be it far from Thee, Lord: this shall not happen to Thee. But He (Jesus) turned and said unto Peter, get thee behind Me SATAN: thou art an offence unto Me, for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men." (Matt.16:21-23). We could say the same to the Pope and his cardinals today. St. Paul set the record straight: "Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God: And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF being the Chief Corner Stone; in Whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In Whom also ye are builded together for an habitation of God." (Ephesians 2:19-22). St.Peter also refutes the ignorant, blasphemous lie which the Roman Church has been foisting on an unlearned populace. One has to wonder which label Wine were they drinking all these years.! My advice to the Prelates is get off the expensive Italian wine and start studying St. Paul, St. Peter and Martin Luther. Here are the words of Holy Writ: "If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. To Whom coming, as unto a LIVING STONE, disallowed indeed on men, but chosen of God, and precious. Ye also, as lively stones (like Peter) are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. Wherefore also it is contained in Scripture, Behold I lay in Zion a CHIEF CORNER STONE, elect and precious: and he that believeth on Him shall not confounded. Unto you therefore that believe He (Jesus Christ) is precious; but unto them which be disobedient (Jewish Religious Leaders), the STONE which the builders disallowed, the SAME (Jesus Christ) is made the Head of the Corner. and a STONE of stumbling and a ROCK of offence, even to them which stumble at the WORD, being disobedient: wherefore also they were appointed." (1 Peter 2:4-8). St. Peter said: "Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Whom ye crucified, Whom God raised from the dead, even by Him doth this man stand before you whole. This (Jesus Christ) is the STONE which was set at naught of you builders, which is become the Head of the Corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is NONE OTHER NAME under Heaven given among men, whereby ye must be SAVED." (Acts 4:10 - 12) - Pastor Max Solbrekken

Make Way For Pope Petrus Romanus: Catholic Church Is The Only 'True Church' of Jesus Christ, Vatican Says

The Vatican issued a document Tuesday restating its belief that the Catholic Church is the only true church of Jesus Christ.

The 16-page document was prepared by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, a doctrinal watchdog that Pope Benedict used to head.

Formulated as five questions and answers, the document is titled "Responses to Some Questions Regarding Certain Aspects of the Doctrine on the Church."

It says although Orthodox churches are true churches, they are defective because they do not recognize the primacy of the Pope.

"It follows that these separated churches and communities, though we believe they suffer from defects, are deprived neither of significance nor importance in the mystery of salvation," it said.

The document adds that Protestant denominations — called Christian Communities born out of the Reformation — are not true churches, but ecclesial communities.

"These ecclesial communities which, specifically because of the absence of the sacramental priesthood … cannot, according to Catholic doctrine, be called 'churches' in the proper sense," it said.

The document is similar to one written in 2000 by the Pope — who was Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger at the time — that sparked an angry reaction from Protestant groups.

"I suspect there will be some reactions that are rather passionate," said Raphaela Schmid, director of the Becket Institute, a group that advocates religious freedom. "I hope they will not be angry because we all try to understand about each other."

The document is issued by Benedict's successor in doctrinal matters, Cardinal William Levada, and endorsed by the Pope, said Reuters
