                           JESUS CHRIST: MY VERY LIFE

                         By Pastor Max Solbrekken, D.D.

I depend on Jesus Christ for everything. He is my life because He is Life. “For through Him we live and move and have our being.” (Acts 17: 28). He instructs through His Word, and guides us by His blessed Holy Spirit. He is more than life because He is Life Eternal! Jesus Christ is our Saviour, Redeemer, and Lord! (John 3:16; 6:35; 8:12; 10:10; 11;25)

The Holy Bible is the VOICE of God. Moses stated: “For ask now of the days of our past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there has been  any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?

“Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire as thou hast heard, and live? …unto thee it was showed that thou mightiest know that the Lord He is God; there is NONE ELSE beside Him. Out of Heaven He made thee to hear His VOICE, that He might instruct thee: and upon earth He showed thee His great FIRE; and thou heard His words out of the midst of the fire.

“Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord He is God in Heaven above and upon the earth beneath; there is NONE else.” (Deut. 4:32-39)

I was lost in sin when the Good Shepherd found me and drew me to Himself. He became my Saviour, Redeemer and Friend. He baptized me with His blessed Holy Spirit, and immediately I could understand the Holy Scriptures.

I fell in love with His Word and over the past 60 years He has given me much wisdom and understanding of the Holy Scriptures. I had little interest in spiritual things, but the Divine Paraclete came to my rescue and taught me the deep things of God, and I am still learning day by day.

I depend upon Him totally for everything I do, preach, and write. It is by His power alone that I minister His Word, by His Spirit! St. Paul’s Epistle to the Romans is called, ‘The Roman Road to Salvation’ because the Gospel of Christ is so plainly laid out for anyone to follow!

“All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Being justified freely by His Grace, through the Redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” (Rom. 3: 23, 24); “Therefore being justified by His Blood, we have PEACE with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

“For when we were yet without strength (helpless), in due time Christ died for the ungodly. But God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Rom. 5:1,6,8); “For the wages of sin is Death, but the gift of God is Eternal Life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Rom. 6: 23)

“O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death? There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus hath made me FREE from the Law of sin and death.” (Rom.7:24; 8: 1,2)

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth is made unto Salvation.” (Rom. 10:9,10)

It was St. Paul’s Epistle to the Romans that showed Martin Luther the way to Christ’s salvation through the precious blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God! It is by Grace alone, Faith alone and through Christ alone!

"For by Grace  are ye saved through Faith: and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: Not of Works, lest any man should boast. For we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." (Eph. 2: 8-10)

"Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness, and the Work of Faith with power: That the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in Him, according to the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ." (2 Thes. 1: 11, 12)

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him: and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:1-4, 14)

The Bible makes it clear that Jesus of Nazareth was God’s eternal Son whom He sent to Redeem us through His vicarious death on the Cross. As God’s sacrificial Lamb, Jesus Christ met the righteous demands of Divine Justice and atoned for the sins of Adam and the entire world, past. present and future.

The Bible says, “He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” (Rom. 8:32).

This is one of the greatest truths ever enunciated in the history of humankind. When I first read this Scripture, I was shocked and utterly overcome by sorrow when I realized that Almighty God loved us so much that He gave His only begotten Son to die for a world of sinners!

He turned His precious Son over to evil, wicked men who accused Him, blasphemed Him, scourged Him, and crucified Him for my sins and the sins of the whole world.

WHY would Jesus Christ, God’s Eternal Son, allow Himself to be subjected to the most horrible torture and death for a sinful world when He was pure, holy, righteous, and good?

Only by His unconditional love for us would He do that! The Bible says: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not Perish, but have everlasting Life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved.”  (John 3:16,17)

The Holy Bible says: “Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus Christ, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the Everlasting Covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” (Heb. 13:20, 21

Our Heavenly Father promised Eternal Life to all who embrace His Son as their Lord and Saviour. This transaction was so great that Christ’s atoning blood would also provide divine healing, peace, joy, and goodwill to all who receive His Son!

The Bible says: “He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” (Rom. 8:32). According to His promise, there is Nothing He will withhold of His blessings from those who appropriate His promises for themselves.

Christ has purchased for all believers, total freedom from sin, sickness, disease, fear, and infirmity! There is NO way our Heavenly Father would not give us what His Son Jesus Christ purchased for us through His sacrificial death on Calvary’s cross!

According to His Word, it is impossible for God to withhold from us what we need for spirit, soul, and body, when we apply His promise for ourselves! It is His Word and His Will to grant our request upon the authority of His Promise!

"He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall not He with Him freely give us all things." (Romans 8: 32)

“Thank You Heavenly Father for Your gifts of healing and deliverance for us all today, because of what Jesus did for us on the Cross! I praise you and will do so forever and ever.”  Amen.

St. John said: “Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that  confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is the spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world. Hereby know we that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He hath given us of His Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

“Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in Him, and He in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and He that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

“Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the Day of Judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out all fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us.” (1 John 4: 1-5, 15-19)

How can we know for sure that we are saved? How can we discern truth from error in religious teaching and deeds?  Use the Bible itself, which does not contradict itself.

“Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God.”

What does that mean?  Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God from eternity, together with the Father and the Holy Spirit. To redeem the world unto Himself, God sent His Son to earth as the perfect sacrifice to meet the righteous demands of Divine Justice and to atone for Adam’s sin against God.

Through His substitutionary death for us on the Cross and His resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ paid that debt. Through the shed blood of Jesus Christ who is True God and True man, we are saved! Through the incarnation (God in human flesh) Jesus was sinless because God is His Father and He was born of the Virgin Mary.

Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ was God in human flesh is saved, but whoever rejects Jesus Christ’s claim of being the Son of God will be lost forever!

Anyone who rejects God’s record of His Son is calling God a liar and thereby cannot receive His forgiveness and eternal life. The Bible states: “If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which He hath testified of His Son.

“He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in Himself: he that believeth not God hath made Him a Liar because he believeth not the Record that God gave of His Son. And this is the record that God hath given to us Eternal Life, and this life is in His Son.

“He that hath the Son hath life, and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the  name of the Son of God; that ye may know that you have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” (1 John 5:9-13)

Here is a great promise concerning prayer to God in Jesus’ name and receiving answers to our prayers. This was the Scripture text that George Muller stood upon for many years as by the grace of God he fed and housed thousands of orphans in Great Britain:

“And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He heareth us: and if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the Petitions that we desired of Him.” (1 John 5: 14, 15)

We know that the healing of our bodies is important to God because of the statements Jesus made on the subject and His amazing healing of multitudes of sick, infirm and diseased people.

St. Peter stated: “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and power who went about doing good and Healing all that were oppressed of the devil: for God was with Him.” (Acts 10:38)

Our Saviour commanded His disciples to heal the sick and cast out devils. It was the miracles of healing and deliverance of demon possessed souls that drew the large crowds. He ordered them to do the things He Himself was doing!

“And when He had called unto Him His twelve disciples, He gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

“And as ye go, preach, saying, The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.” (Matt.10: 1, 7,8)

“After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before His face into every city and place, wither He Himself would come.

“And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, the Kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through Thy name.

“And He said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from Heaven. Behold I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (Luke 10: 1,9, 17-20)

“And He said unto them, go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

“And these signs shall follow them that believe: In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” (Mark 16: 15- 18)

Here is the proof of Christ’s Great Commission bringing great blessings to the Church and deliverance to many people:

“So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, He was received up into Heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the Word with Signs following.” (Mark 16: 19, 20)

The Bible says: “Ye are of God little children and have overcome them (evil spirits): because Greater is He that is within you than he that is in the world.” (1 John 4:4)

Who is the ONE within us? The Blessed Holy Spirit, whom Jesus Himself sent to fill His people. He is called the ‘Promise of the Father’.

In reality the entire Godhead is within us because Jesus promised, “…If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and WE will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” (John 14:23)

Who is the ONE in the world? Satan, the EVIL one who was cast out of Heaven and is now the leader of fallen angels and demon spirits, the enemy of God and man! He is called the Devil which means Liar! He is Beelzebub the Master of dirty, filthy flies!

JESUS said: “All power is given unto Me in Heaven and in earth.” (Matt. 28:18); “…For this purpose the Son of God was manifested that He might destroy the works of the Devil.” (1 John 3: 8); “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will FLEE from you.” (James 4:7)

“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself took part  of the same; that through Death He might Destroy him that had the power of  death,  that is the Devil: and Deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” (Heb.2: 14,15)

“Be sober, be vigilant;  because your adversary the Devil,  as a roaring lion walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: whom resist steadfast in the Faith…” (1 Peter 5: 8,9); “The thief (devil) cometh not but for to steal,  kill and destroy. I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10: 10)

“Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the Prince of the world (Satan) be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth will draw all men unto Me. This He said, signifying what death He should die.” (John 12: 31-33)

Jesus Christ’s vicarious death on the cross for us all has destroyed Satan’s power over all who trust in the finished work of our Saviour on Calvary’s Cross and His resurrection from the dead! Hallelujah!

Our Lord said: “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (Luke 10: 19)

“But ye shall receive Power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” (Acts 10: 38).

“And there was war in Heaven: Michael and His angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels and prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in Heaven.

“And I heard a loud voice saying in Heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of the brethren is Cast Down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony: and they loved not their lives unto the death.” (Rev. 12:7-10,11)

JESUS said: “Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing in the name of the Father and Son and the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I  have commanded you: and lo, I am with you  always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matt. 28: 19)

“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as you have: for He said I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my Helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” (Heb.13: 5)

People often ask me to pray for them and I count it a privilege to do so but someone much greater than I, is constantly praying for us all. Jesus Christ is the Great Intercessor:

“But this man, because He continueth ever hath an unchangeable priesthood. Wherefore He is able also to Save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them.” (Heb. 7: 25)

The Book of Romans also reveals Jesus as the Great Intercessor. St. Paul writes: “Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also called; and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us.

“He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also give us all things? Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect. It is God that justifieth. Who is He that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is Risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.” (Romans 8: 30-34)

This Scripture lays out our position in Christ so marvelously plain that it is hard to imagine the great grace and mercy of God towards us, unworthy as we all are! He knew about us before the world was created and predestinated us for Himself, before we were born.

Our names were written in the Lamb’s Book of Life before the foundation of the world. (Rev. 13: 8). Then, He called us out of sin and degradation to be His children, heirs of God and joint heirs with Him. We were born again through the precious Blood of the Lamb of God and justified through His resurrection from the dead! And when He comes for us we shall glorified by His all atoning bleed, and the riches of His grace!

Satan is a cagey liar and deceiver and uses everything he can to get a believer fall for his temptations. St. John warns us of ‘the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life’. (1 John 2: 15-17). Condemnation, however, is a great tool is his arsenal against believers. These Scriptures stops him cold!

Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is He that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is Risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.” (Romans 8: 30-34)

LIAR would try to condemn a believer of sins committed earlier, but since God has justified him, he is cleared of that charge! And how can one be condemned for sins which Christ Himself has bled and died for?

St. John writes: “My little children, these things write I unto you, that Ye Sin Not. And if any man sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the Righteous. And He is the Propitiation for our sins: and not for our sins only, but the sins of the whole world.” (1 John 2: 1,2)

The goal in life is to live righteously, but we know that everyone sins in some way; thought, word or deed. If we do sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, and if we cry out for mercy, He forgives us because Jesus is our Saviour and propitiation!

The meaning of that word is satisfaction, expiation, and mercy seat!  God is satisfied with the death of His Son to cleanse, forgive, and wash away every stain of sin from us because His blood has atoned for our sin. When we ask for His forgiveness, automatically His blood cleanses and purges the sin and the guilt!

The Bible says: “There is therefore NO condemnation to them which walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus hath made me FREE from the law of sin and death.” (Rom. 8: 1,2)

We have nothing to fear because we are God’s children, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. He watches over His own and we are one with Him, loving, praising, and worshipping our Lord for all His goodness toward us!

The Bible says: ‘Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For Thy sake we are killed all the day long. We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

“Nay, in all these things we are more than Conquerors through Him that loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come. Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Rom. 8: 35-39). Amen.

Trudeau gives BLM money while seizing the bank accounts of peaceful protesters

This new information about the race relations grants was revealed in an order paper response to a question posed by Quebec Conservative MP Pierre Paul-Hus.

The Liberals gave grants to Black Lives Matter, the BC Civil Liberties Association and the Anti-Hate Network through a government agency, the Canadian Race Relations Foundation.

BLM protests brought riots and violence to American cities, yet Trudeau gave the group's Canadian arm over $8,000.

The Anti-Hate Network already received well over $200,000 to be hunter-killers of the enemies of Trudeau, and the Race Relations Foundation gave them another $6,000.

The BC Civil Liberties Association — noticeably silent during the last two years of civil rights violations — was the recipient of $10,000 from the same foundation.

This new information about the race relations grants was revealed in an order paper response to a question posed by Quebec Conservative MP Pierre Paul-Hus.

This week, Justin Trudeau used a never-before-used tool to turn peaceful critics of his government into terrorists or terror financiers under the law.

The Emergencies Act (a replacement for the War Measures Act) was invoked by the Liberals on Monday in an admission that not only had they lost control of the country, but their emotions as well, and were intent on taking out their frustrations on law-abiding citizens.

The Act is meant to be used for things like population-wide cholera outbreaks or literal acts of war — foreign attacks against the country on Canadian soil, not when moms and dads, small business owners and farmers take to the nation's capital when they feel like no one is listening to them.

The truckers and their friends in Ottawa right now have not been violent. They have hot tubs, soup kitchens, bouncy castles, saunas and live concerts. That has not stopped the government from using tools meant to deal with Al-Qaeda and ISIS brides on them.

Their property and bank accounts are going to be seized for the crime of driving a truck into Trudeau's territory.

Just don't expect the BC Civil Liberties Association to care. Their silence was purchased in advance.

QUESTION: "If the disastrous foreign policies of America's half-witted President Joe Biden is coaching Canada' s former Drama teacher, then we are in serious trouble! - Pastor Max Solbrekken, D.D.

EXPOSED: Justin Castrodeau Invoked “Emergencies” Act ONLY AFTER the BIDEN REGIME URGED Canada to Use “FEDERAL POWERS    3

0Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made waves when he invoked the Emergencies Act in Mid-February.

The Act, which is being invoked for the first time in Canada’s history, gives PM Trudeau’s government the power to bring out the military, suspend freedom of movement or assembly, and take control of private finances.

PM Trudeau has stated that he has no intention of putting Canadian soldiers on the streets, but he has made it clear that he is eager to go after the finances of anyone involved in the protests, a move that would include seizing private bank accounts of protesters.

He is also threatening to arrest tow truck drivers who refuse to tow protesters’ trucks and other vehicles while Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland has threatened protesters who own a business with the freezing of their corporate accounts and suspension of their vehicles’ insurance policy.

PM Trudeau’s move has been slammed by civil rights organizations and Canadian politicians alike.

Canada’s Civil Liberties Association has rightly noted that the protests do not “seriously threaten the ability of the Government of Canada to preserve the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of Canada” and stated that the current use of the act “threatens our democracy and our civil liberties.”

Quebec Premier Francois Legault has said the use of the Act pours “oil on the fire” of the protests while Manitoba Premier Heather Stefanson says the use of the act is “not constructive”.

However, there is one politician who is not only pleased with Canada’s use of the Emergencies Act but who may have egged PM Trudeau on in invoking the act in the first place.

It’s no secret that Prime Minister Trudeau spoke with United States President Joe Biden just days before invoking the Emergencies Act, and it’s also no secret that President Biden urged his Canadian counterpart to take measures to clear the Ambassador Bridge, which had been blocked by protesting truckers.

After the conversation, Biden Press Secretary Jen Psaki told the press that Trudeau has promised the Biden Administration “quick action in enforcing the law,” clearly implying that Canada’s Prime Minister made promises to the Biden Administration before announcing his intentions to the public.

It’s not hard to see why President Biden would urge Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to invoke the Emergencies Act.

The blockage of international travel was having a huge impact on American industry and manufacturing at a time when the Biden Regime’s mismanagement of the economy is already wreaking havoc on companies throughout the nation.

What’s more, rumors that U.S. truckers are planning similar protests on U.S. soil have members of the Biden Regime on edge.

Truckers account for 70% of all food transportation in the United States; a trucker protest in the nation would wreak havoc on already strained supply lines and exacerbate inflation that is eating away at American savings and Biden’s approval ratings.

Even so, the notion that a leader of a so-called “free” nation would institute what amounts to martial law simply because the leader of another so-called “free” nation urged him to is incredibly alarming.

PM Justin Trudeau’s decision to give his administration emergency powers and revoke basic civil rights for tens of millions of Canadians, coupled with what appears to be an attempt to create a “false flag” event to make the protesting truckers look like dangerous right-wingers, makes it clear that he cares nothing about the valid concerns of his nation’s citizens but is rather eager to do whatever it takes to push his agenda at all costs.

By Pastor Max Solbrekken, D.D.

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?  Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Mark 8: 36-37)

Have you ever sat down to contemplate the real values of life? Have you ever pondered the purpose of your existence?  Or considered the impact you are making on your family, community and society at large?

A Funeral Director once told me that on the average, every person will have personally influenced about 400 people in his or her lifetime!

I’m quite sure that most people are unaware of the influence their personal lifestyle has on relatives, neighbours, fellow workers and friends!

It is incumbent upon us to pause for a time of reflection and come to grips with the awesome responsibility we have in being a kind and decent person, a good role model and a fine example of true Christianity!

The three most important things in life, as I see it, are these: A man’s relationship to God, his family, and his fellowman! When it is all said and done and you lie in your casket, these three things will matter the most:

Firstly, have you made your peace with God? Are your sins forgiven? Have you received God’s gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ, Who shed His precious blood for us all? Secondly, how have you treated your family members – wife, husband, children, relatives? Thirdly, what was your attitude toward your fellowman? Did you seek to lift their heavy burdens and point them to Christ?

“To realize the value of a sibling, ask someone who doesn't have one. To realize the value of ten years, ask someone widowed after a decade of marriage. To realize the value of four years, ask a graduate. To realize the value of one year, ask a student who has failed a final exam.

To realize the value of nine months, ask a mother who gave birth to a still born. To realize the value of one month, ask the owner of a business in receivership for late payments. To realize the value of one week, ask someone lost on a mountain for 7 days. To realize the value of one hour, ask someone waiting for pain relief after an accident.

To realize the value of one minute, ask a person who has missed the train, bus or plane. To realize the value of one second, ask a driver who hit someone because car brakes were fading. To realize the value of one millisecond, ask the person who won a silver medal in the Olympics.

To realize the value of a friend, lose one. Time waits for no one. Treasure every moment you have. You will treasure it even more when you can share it with someone special!       - Author Unknown

We must ask ourselves, what are the priorities in my life? What are the most important things to me? What comes first in my life? Am I self-centered, jealous, greedy, sarcastic, proud, unbearable or am I generous, loving, compassionate and forging?

Are we more interested in our own enrichment in temporal things than in our spiritual development? Are we spending quality time with our families and seeking to give them something of enduring value rather than trying to buy their love through monetary gifts and expensive toys? May our priorities never be wrong when comes to building character in our children and grandchildren!

May God help us to be examples of Jesus and His love our loved ones, our neighbours and everyone we come in contact with. And let us reach out to as many as possible to those who do not know Jesus  and His amazing love, mercy and grace! Amen.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." (John 3: 16, 17)

"Forasmuch as we know that were not redeemed with corruptible  things, as silver and gold, from you vain conversation (lifestyle) received by tradition from fathers; Bit with the precious BLOOD of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish or spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by Him do believe in God, that raised  Him from the dead, and gave Him glory; that your faith might be in God.

"Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, seeing that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently; Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God, which liveth and abideth forever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man is as the flower of grass. The grass withereth and, and the flower thereof fadeth away.

"But the WORD of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the Word which by the Gospel is preached unto you."  (1 Peter 1:7-25). Amen.

ANALYZING ATHEISTS:                  LACK OF INTEGRITY & INTELLECT?

General Dwight Eisenhower stated: “It takes no brains to be an atheist. Any stupid person can deny the supernatural.”

King David declared: “The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God.” (Ps.14:1). Was the king actually saying that a person who says there is no God, is a fool? No! He was stating the facts, that an imbecile, insane person or fool, cannot be held responsible for making such a ridiculous statement!

It has been said: “An atheist is one who believes he has absolute knowledge that there is no one who has absolute knowledge. Yet he/she also believes there are no absolutes and is absolutely sure about that.”

President Abraham Lincoln asked: “How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg?” Then he answered: “Four. Calling a tail a leg doesn’t make it a leg.” Atheists often make ridiculously stupid statements, but that does not make them true. Let’s stick with the truth, because Jesus said: “Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” (John 10: 10)

● Problems Atheists Have to Bear!

"The only good thing you do on your knees is scrub floors. You sometimes feel really grateful, but to whom? You call Dial A Prayer for Atheists and no one answers. You have to tell that tender, small voice to shut up all the time. Your idea of a higher power in the universe is the Inland Revenue! Limited profanity - why bother to curse in the name of someone who doesn't exist? " - Selected

● Said the Barber to the Preacher

A Minister and an atheistic barber were once walking through the city slums. The barber says to the preacher: “This is why I cannot believe in a God of love. If God was as kind as you say, He would not permit all this poverty, disease and squalor: He would not allow these bums to be addicted to dope and other character destroying habits. No, I cannot believe in a God who permits these things.”

The Minister was silent until they met a man who was especially unkempt and filthy. His hair was hanging down his neck, and he had a half-inch of stubble on his face. Then, the Minister said: "You can't be a very good barber or you wouldn't permit a man like that to continue living in this neighbourhood without a haircut or shave!"

Indignantly the barber answered: "Why blame me for that man's condition? I can't help it that he is like that. He has never given me a chance to help him. If he would only come to my shop, I could fix him up and make him look like a gentleman!"

Giving the barber a penetrating look, the Minister said: "Then don't blame God for allowing these people to continue in their evil ways, when He is constantly inviting them to come and be saved. The reason these people are slaves to sin and evil habits is that they refuse the One who died to save and deliver them."

Aldous Huxley in the book, Ends and Means confesses: "I had motives for not wanting the world to have meaning: Consequently assumed that it had none, and was able to find satisfying reasons for this assumption.

“The philosopher who finds no meaning in the world is not concerned exclusively with a problem in pure metaphysics (the study of being and the origin of the cosmos); he is also concerned to prove there is no valid reason to prove he should not do as he wants to.

“For myself, the philosophy of meaninglessness was essentially an instrument of liberation, sexual and political."

Out of his own mouth, Huxley revealed to the world the outright lies, deception and the universal hypocrisy of agnostics and atheists that condemns him and his ilk of pompous, arrogant and rebellious blasphemers!

Shortly before George Bernard Shaw died in 1950, he wrote: "The science to which I pinned my faith is bankrupt. Its counsels which should have established the millennium, have led directly to the suicide of Europe. I believed them once. In their name I helped to destroy the faith of millions. And now they look at me and witness the great tragedy of an atheist who has lost his faith in Atheism.”

Writers H.G. Wells and George Bernard Shaw were brilliant men, yet they rejected the message of Scripture. They placed their trust in their own systems of belief, which were based on human reason. Yet they could not find lasting inner peace, and they slowly lost confidence in what they believed. Wells' final literary work, for example, has been aptly called "a scream of despair."

In December 1986, Eleanor Barry, a 70-year-old ex-actress, was killed by a pile of paper. A giant pile of books, newspapers, and the press clippings dating back 25 years collapsed on Miss Barry while she lay in bed. Police had to use an axe to smash the door of her bedroom because the collapsed pile blocked their entry. They stated the weight of the papers muffled her cries for help.
Those searching for truth need to beware of the power of print to kill all desire for God. The rationalistic theories of men can crush the spirit of inquiry after truth. Many a man or woman has become the victim of atheism and agnosticism by means of the printed page.

Bertrand Russell sadly lamented: “The life of man is a long march through the night, surrounded by invisible foes, tortured by weariness and pain, towards a goal that few can hope to reach and where none can tarry long. One by one, as they march, our comrades vanish from our sight, seized by the silent orders of omnipotent death."

A scientist is said to have approached God thus: “The Executive Board of Scientific Breakthroughs has decided that we no longer need You! We’ve had so many advances in science, so many breakthroughs that we can run this universe by ourselves! We can transplant hearts and lungs and even clone people. What we are doing is nothing short of the miraculous."

God listened patiently and then said, "OK- to see whether or not you still need Me, let's have a man making contest?”  "Great", said the scientist!

"Now, we are going to do it just as I did it in the old days with Adam", God said. "That's fine" answered the scientist and bent down to get a handful of dirt. "Just a moment," said the Lord, shaking His head in disapproval. "Not so fast Mister, you get your own dirt!” Amen.

In my  crusades in the former Soviet Union and Romania in 1989 and later in Ukraine, Russia, Poland, and other Easter European Countries, I saw the destructive consequences of 70 years of Atheism in alcoholism and broken homes and a hundred other ills!

A letter written in 1992 to the ‘Soviet Ukraine’ by Nadiia Hundert, Kiev, Ukraine confirms what I personally witnessed:

"Today, as a consequence of an atheistic upbringing, we are knee-deep in alcoholics, drug addicts, other chemically dependent individuals, loafers, bums, criminals, savages, uncouths, dullards, cruel and frightful juveniles who commit crimes for the fun of it. These are people who were brought up by non-believer parents and an atheistic society.  It would be a very good thing if, in restructuring the school curriculum, the education specialists included teaching of religion in our schools."

CAN ATHEISTS GET INSURANCE FOR ACTS OF GOD? From ‘Check It Out For Yourself’ (12/11/81)

A scientist once asked author Dorothy Sayers to write a letter to his scientific organization, setting forth her reasons for believing in the Christian faith. The letter was not at all what the scientist had expected. It said:

"Why do you want a letter from me? Why don't you take the trouble to find out for yourselves what Christianity is? You take time to learn technical terms about electricity. Why don't you do as much for theology? Why do you never read the great writings on the subject, but take your information from the secular 'experts' who have picked it up as accurately as you? Why don't you learn the facts in this field as honestly as in your own field? Why do you accept mil-dewed old heresies as the language of the church, when any handbook of church history will tell you where they came from?

"Why do you balk at the doctrine of the Trinity-God the Three in One-yet meekly acquiesce when Einstein tells you E = MC2? What makes you suppose that the expression 'God ordains' is narrow and bigoted, while your own expression 'Science demands' is taken as an objective statement of fact? You would be ashamed to know as little about internal combustion as you know about Christian beliefs.

"I admit," she continued, "you can practice Christianity without knowing much theology, just as you can drive a car without knowing much about internal combustion. But when something breaks down in the car, you go humbly to the man who understands the works; whereas, if something goes wrong with religion, you merely throw the works away and tell the theologian he is a liar. Why do you want a letter from me telling you about God? You will never bother to check on it or find out whether I'm giving you personal opinions or Christian doctrines. Don't bother with me. Go away and do some work and let me get on with mine."

In his 1681 letter to Thomas Burnett regarding creation, the famed scientist referred to Genesis: “As to Moses ... he described realities in a language artificially adapted to ye sense of ye vulgar.... Where natural causes are at hand God uses them as instruments in his works, but I do not think them sufficient for ye creation ...”

A tale is told about a small town that had historically been "dry," but one day a local businessman decided to build a tavern.

A group of Christians from a local church were concerned and planned an all-night prayer meeting to ask God to intervene. A short time afterwards a bolt of lightning struck the bar and it burned to the ground.

The owner of the bar sued the church, claiming that the prayers of the congregation were responsible, but the church hired a lawyer to argue in court that they were certainly not responsible.
