FOUNDATION DECLARATION

                          By Pastor Max Solbrekken, D.D.

“For I delivered unto you FIRST OF ALL that which I received, how that Christ DIED for our sins according to the scriptures and that He was BURIED, and that He ROSE AGAIN the third day according to the scriptures.” (1 Cor. 15: 3,4)

This treatise sets forth in no uncertain terms the foundation stone of the Christian Faith. Without fear of contradiction, we can truthfully declare that the foregoing statement, is in fact God’s unvarnished, unedited Truth!

The Bible says, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction, for righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” (2 Tim.3:16)

“Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as a lamb without blemish and without spot:

“Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, who by Him do believe in God, that raised him from the dead, and gave Him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

“Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: Being Born Again, not of corruptible Seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God, which liveth and abideth forever.

CHRIST HAS DIED!  CHRIST WAS BURIED! CHRIST IS RISEN!

“But the Word of the Lord endureth forever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.” (2 Peter 1: 18-23, 25) The church’s foremost message must always be Christ’s death on the Cross, His Burial, and His Resurrection on the Third Day. Christ is the only foundation Stone of Christianity! There is NONE other!

“According as His Divine Power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be Partakers of the Divine Nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” (2 Peter 1:3,4)

“So shall My Word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing where unto I send it.” (Is. 55:11):

“…He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee, so that we may boldly say, The Lord is my Helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever.” (Heb. 13:5,6,8).

“Now the God of Peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the BLOOD of the Everlasting Covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.” (Heb. 13:20)

“For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are all things: to whom be glory forever. Amen.” (Rom. 11:36); “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. But my God shall supply all your NEED according to HIS riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 4:7,13, 19)

 IN THE BEGINNING GOD!

In his letter to the Corinthian Church, St. Paul declares the Gospel: It is Christ alone: His death, burial, and resurrection! Whatever else we teach or preach must conform to that definite, unchanging, and eternal truth. It is all about Christ. He is the Centrepiece of our theology! Anything added to that or taken away from that set-in-stone teaching is erroneous and demonic!

Jesus warned: “And the Spirit and the Bride (church) say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

“And if any man shall take away from the Book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the Holy City, and from the things written in this Book.” (Rev. 22: 17-20). “All scripture is given by Inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for instruction in righteousness.” (2 Cor.3:16)

1 BLAME THE DEVIL!

Jesus said: “I am the Door: by Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” (John 10:9); “The thief cometh not but for to steal kill and destroy. I am come that they may have life and have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10): I am the Good Shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” (John 1: 11)

Satan is a Murderer, Killer, and Lying Monster! He is the death giver. Jesus is the Life giver!   The Bible says: “He that committeth SIN is of the devil. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might DESTROY the works of the devil.” (1 John 3:8). “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will FLEE (in terror) from you.”  (James 4: 7,8)

“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet (qualified) to be partakers of the Inheritance of the Saints in Light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the Kingdom of His dear Son: In Whom we have redemption through His Blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

“And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church; who is the beginning, the first-born from the dead; that in all things He might have the pre-eminence. For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fulness dwell.

“And having made Peace through the BLOOD of the Cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself: By Him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in Heaven.” (Col. 1: 12-20)

JESUS SPOILED SATAN’S KINGDOM!

“Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to His CROSS; And having Spoiled Principalities and Powers, He made a show of the OPENLY, triumphing over them in it.” (Col.2:14,15)

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the CROSS.

“Wherefore GOD also hath highly exalted Him and given Him a name which is above every name: That at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow of things in Heaven, and things in Earth, and things under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Eph. 2:5-11)

SATAN’S YOKE BROKEN BY THE HOLY SPIRIT!

In this Foundation Declaration, I do not lean on philosophical arguments or draw on the sciences in proving that the death of Jesus Christ for the sins of the world, fulfills the Old Testament prophecies referring to Messiah’s death, burial, and resurrection from the dead!

More than seven hundred years before the birth of Jesus of Nazareth, the prophet Isaiah wrote: “And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his Yoke from off his neck, and the Yoke shall be Destroyed because of the Anointing.” (Is 10:25).

Prophetically, this refers to the Coming of the Redeemer Jesus Christ, who breaks the yoke of Satan and frees those under his slavery! Jesus said, “Come unto Me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matt. 11:28-30)

When a sinner is bound by the devil he carries the heavy load, but when he is freed by the Gospel of Christ, Jesus carries the heavy load for him! Our Saviour said, “If ye continue in My Word, then ye are My disciples indeed. And ye shall know the truth and the Truth shall make you Free. If the Son therefore shall make you Free, ye shall be Free indeed.” (John 8: 32,36)

The Yoke of Satanic Bondage is broken from off our shoulders - our spirit, soul and body by the anointing of the Holy Spirit! The Yoke of fear, torment, guilt, condemnation, pain, sickness and unrest must leave because of the anointing of the Holy Spirit!

The BLOOD of Jesus Christ that was shed for us on Golgotha cleanses, purges, washes and frees us from all anxiety, nervous tension, oppression, satanic attacks of sickness, disease and death!

Jesus Himself is the Truth and His Word is the Truth, the Logos. He gives us the assurance: " I will never leave thee, nor forsake you. I will be with thee until the end of the world (age)" (Matt. 28:20; Heb.13: 8). An old gospel song says: With Jesus in the vessal, we can smile at storm!

Whatever enemy we may face, we have ultimate peace, assurance and victory: VICTORY through the Blood of the Everlasting Covenant, the Eternal Word of God, the Blessed Holy Spirit and the Matchless Name of Jesus Christ, the Liberator of of Lost Humanity, the Emancipator of the Human Race, the Saviour of the world, the Great Physician and the Baptizer in the Holy Ghost and Fire!

We are fully armed with the Promises of God, the Sword of the Spirit, purged by the Blood of the Lamb and endued with the Person of the Holy Spirit, and Hid with Christ in God, the Father Almighty. One True God, world without end!

NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST US!

The Bible states: "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their righteousness is of Me, sath the Lord." (Is. 54:17)

The Yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing. It is God who anoints us. We have received an enduement of power: "But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. I have not written unto you because ye know the TRUTH, but because ye know it., and that no lie is of the truth,

"Who is a Liar but he that denieth the Christ? He is Antichrist that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same that not the Father; but he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the  Father also." (1 John 2: 22-23)

Jesus daid,"Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the Enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you." (Luke 10: 19).  I stand foursquare on God's Word and the PROMISES of Jesus! He said, "Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me for My Yoke is easy and My burden is light." (Matt. 11:28)

What was Jesus saying? When you are yoked to the Devil, you carry the burden, but when you are yoked to Me, I carry the BURDEN. He has done all the heavy lifting for us on the Cross!

As He prayed in Gethsemane and sweat as they were drops of blood ,and as they cured Him, blasphemed Him and nailed Him to the cursed tree, He lifted all our heavy burdens. When He cried, It is finished, He had purchased our  Salvation fron sin, fear, sickness and eernal damnation.

When He sent the blessed Holy Spirit to indwell us, Satan is defeated and we are free an bound to Christ forevrr by love;s strong chords - Yoked together with our Saviour, victorious over the worl, flesh and the Devil! All hail the power of Jesus; Name for time and eternity. Amen.

FAITH CREATORS                                                   by Pastor Max Solbrekken, D.D.

The Word of God is alive and produces fruit. The Bible is the written Word, and Jesus is the Living Word of God! It begets life in the hearts of those who read, study and believe on Jesus Christ. He is Eternal Life and the Only Way to God the Father!

"In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made.

"In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of gtace and truth." (John1: 1-4, 14)

FAITH CREATOR– N0. 1

The Bible says: “Ask and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you: for every one that asks receives; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.” (Matt.7: 7-8)

In this Scripture, Jesus Christ invites us to come to Him in prayer. He promises to answer our prayers when we come to Him in faith. In Matt. 21:22, He declares: “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.”

If you have prayed without any seeming results, continue praying; asking, seeking, and knocking until you receive! Jesus knew that sometimes our requests would not be answered immediately so He outlined three approaches we may use in prayer.

After having ASKED and not yet received, we take the second step and begin to SEEK. We seek the Lord with all our hearts. We do not give up, but rather intensify our prayers as we focus our attention on Him and His goodness and love toward us.

The Bible states unequivocally: “If My people which are called by My name, will humble themselves, and pray, and SEEK MY FACE and will turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and I will forgive their sins and heal their land.” (2 Chron.7: 14)

The closer relationship becomes with Jesus as we memorize God’s Word and appropriate His promises for ourselves, the more we will be filled with His Holy Presence and the miracle we desperately need will occur!  By searching the Scriptures, we develop a solid foundation from which to pray intelligently. We seek to learn what God’s Word teaches and know His Will in every matter.

We also have an opportunity to search our own hearts to determine whether there are hidden sins, attitudes, fears, or unbelief that need to be removed through genuine repentance, confession and seeking the presence and fellowship of the Holy Spirit!

 WHAT AN INVITATION!

Finally, if after asking and not receiving, seeking, and not finding, we are admonished by our Lord Jesus Christ to KNOCK! What does that mean? We must hold onto God’s Word in true faith and patience until the answer comes! It means that we must keep knocking on Heaven’s door – in full faith of Calvary’s victory – in Jesus’ precious name, until God answers!

We must not stop asking and believing, thanking, praising, and worshipping God until our prayers are answered. He doesn’t always give us the exact thing we ask for, however, because He knows what is best for us.  And in times of prayer, He works things out in our lives that may be hindering our spiritual growth, and in the end, we often receive more than we asked for!

The Bible admonishes: “Be careful for nothing (don’t be anxious); but in everything by prayer and supplication (plea, entreaty) with thanksgiving let your requests be known unto God.” (Phil.4: 6). There is a definite connection between thanking God for what He has done and what He is going to do, when petitioning Him for anything!

St. Paul makes it clear that peace and tranquility will result when we follow that procedure: “And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (v.7). We can rest assured that He will keep His Word to us as we totally commit ourselves to Him and His service! He has promised: “Commit thy way unto the Lord. Trust also in Him and He will bring it to pass.” (Ps.37: 5)

And by continuing to thank and praise God daily after our prayers are answered, we can be assured of retaining what God has done for us and living a gloriously victorious and happy life! Amen.

FAITH CREATOR – N0. 2

Jesus promised: “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing they shall ask, it shall be done for them of My Father which is in Heaven.” (Matt.18: 19)

Knowing that repetition is a valued tool for learning, our Lord used this method while dispensing important instruction. He was in fact saying:     “I’ve told you before, but this is so important I want you to hear it again.”

What was so important, that it needed re-telling the zealous group of unlearned and ignorant disciples that our Lord had handpicked to lead the Church? Some of the greatest and most profound truths are so simple and basic that people stumble over them, while others grasp their significance, patent them, and become prosperous, wealthy, or famous by doing so!

Jesus often used the simple principle of ‘strength through unity’, which becomes a formidable force when enabled by FAITH and TRUST and working in concert with the omnipotent power of Almighty God!  Men and women, united in urgent, desperate, and believing prayer for the purpose of seeing His mighty power manifested, have triggered some of the greatest conversions, healings and miraculous deliverances seen by mankind!

On the Day of Pentecost, as the eleven were standing shoulder to shoulder (as one man), Peter delivered a fiery message which brought tremendous conviction of sin, and the conversion of three thousand souls to Christ!

Peter and John walking TOGETHER into the Temple at the hour of prayer set into motion events that activated a great miracle of healing on an impotent man, bringing five thousand souls to Jesus Christ that very day.

And while the persecuted believers in Jesus the Messiah were praying together, after being warned by the religious authorities not to speak in His name, the place where they were assembled was shaken by the power of Almighty God!

 WHAT DOES ALL THIS MEAN?

When two or more believers who are FOCUSED on a specific need, unite in mutual faith and trust in Jesus’ precious name and believing God’s never-failing Word, the Blessed Holy Spirit responds to that call and the miracle happens to the glory of God!

Through this and other invitations, our Lord Jesus Christ made it abundantly clear that He wants to answer our prayers! There is ample proof of that, through the many miracles He performed on needy, sick, diseased, and suffering people whom He healed! There is NOT a single recorded instance where JESUS refused to heal anyone who came to Him for prayer.

He healed all who were sick and performed staggering miracles for those who were diseased, during His earthly Ministry. He didn’t turn away anyone! He even sought out those who were unable to come to Him, like the demoniac from the Gadara (Mark 5: 1-15) and the infirm man at the Pool of Bethesda (John 5: 1-9).

All that is needed to receive from God is simple child-like faith in His holy Word. We must ask in faith, nothing doubting (James 1: 6), and He has promised to work a miracle on our behalf. Jesus promised that if we would believe His Word regarding whatever we desire of Him, it shall be done for us of His Father in Heaven!  (Matt.18: 19)

I call this the ‘Prayer of Agreement’! Without doubt, this is one of the simplest and the easiest ways to receive an answer to prayer! It is not necessary to have a Pastor or Evangelist minister to your needs. Any two people joining together in faith can touch the heart of God.  He makes up the triangle!

A mother and her sick child, a pastor and someone in a hospital room, or a husband and his wife praying for their needs to be met. All can receive miracles of salvation, divine healing, and provision! We have seen this happen countless times in our crusades and also by radio, TV and even through prayers made over the telephone! To God be the glory. Great things He has done and is still doing today! Amen and Amen.

 FAITH CREATOR – N0. 3

The Bible says: “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” (Mark 9: 23); “… With men it is impossible; but not with God; for with God all things are possible.” (Mark 10: 27)

Jesus said what He meant, and He meant what He said! He had no difficulty articulating His words of divine wisdom and truth. His strong appeal for disciples to preach His gospel and the statement that He would answer our prayers, were not shrouded in ambiguity! He had no hidden agenda. Everything was up-front with Jesus. He spoke the truth and communicated it openly!

The Great Commission is coupled with His promise to ‘back up His Word’ and the assurance of His constant presence with us! His Word is totally true, authoritative, and binding! With God all things are possible. There is no power on earth that can stop the workings of His Almighty Holy Spirit.

The Bible says: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but the world through Him might be saved.” (John 3: 16,17).

“He that hath received His testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. He that believeth on the Son, hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” (John 3: 33,36)

“He that believeth on the Son hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made Him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of His Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” (1 John 5: 11, 12)

There it is: Plain and simple, in black and white with no shades of gray! There is only one Saviour and His name is Jesus the Christ, Son of the living God. There is no other Saviour!

He alone carried our sins and sicknesses to Calvary. He alone paid the ransom for our sins and was crushed under that heavy load as He met the demands of divine justice to redeem Adam’s fallen race! It was Christ alone, that died upon that ‘cursed tree’ and shed His pure and precious blood to save our never dying souls and rose again in power and glory!

CAN WE BELIEVE? Yes, we can, and we must; if we are to enter into His rest, (Heb.3: 14; 4: 6, 10, 11) and receive ‘the faith of God’ into our hearts so that we can be saved, healed and filled with the Holy Spirit

Jesus said: “Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me; or else believe Me for the very works sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall ye do; because I go unto My Father.

“And whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall as anything in My name, I will do it.” (John 14: 11–15)

What does that mean? We must believe that Jesus Christ is God the Son, Who came to this earth to seek and save the lost. He who “being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

“But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him  the form of a servant, and was made  in the likeness of men: And being found as a man He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name:

"That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Phil. 2: 5-11)

As we take God at His Word, believing that what He said is true, the blessed Holy Spirit creates faith and life within us as we cast all our cares upon Jesus because He cares for us! (1 Peter 5: 7). God’s Word liberates from sin, sickness, fear and torment! Let Him do it for you today, my dear friend!

 WHAT A POWERFUL MESSAGE!

The Bible declares: “And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He heareth us: and if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.” (1 John 5: 14-15)

We know that it is God’s Will to forgive sinners, bring healing to the sick and baptize believers with the Holy Spirit, because He says so! He healed the sick during His earthly Ministry and He gave His power to His twelve apostle and seventy disciples whom He sent out to preach the Gospel!

Before enduring the agonies of the cross where He suffered, bled and died to purchase our salvation from sin, fear, sickness and the devil’s power (Isaiah 53: 4, 5; 1 Peter 2: 24; Matt.8: 16, 17), Jesus gave these specific instructions to His followers:

“Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that you fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in My Name, He may give it you. These things I command you that ye love one another.” (John 15: 16, 17)

A jot is the smallest letter in the Hebrew language and a tittle is like the crossing of a t or the dot over an i. We are safe and secure in our belief in Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible as the Word of God! Amen.

 FAITH CREATOR – N0. 4

The Bible says: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Heb.11: 1)

Many struggle with the concept of faith. To them it seems so abstract, illusive, far removed and unattainable. They are intimidated and feel that receiving a miracle from God through their own prayers is hopeless. They know that God does miracles but “not by my faith!” Yet they have faith that someone else praying for them could bring Gold’s blessing into their lives!

Others are very positive and easily declare: “I have all the faith in the world.” and yet they often do not receive anything from God

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” (Heb.11: 6)

 FAITH IS THREE THINGS!

Faith is coming to God with your needs, believing that God is, and expecting a miracle when you pray.  By coming to God you are confessing that you cannot help yourself and that He is greater than you are. And that He can do what you cannot do. It is an act of faith and proves that you believe God’s Word!

Faith is believing that God is, Whom He claims to be! That He is eternal, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, immutable and transcendent! That simply means that God is without beginning and ending, all powerful, all wise and knowing, unchanging and over and above all!

And faith is expecting a miracle and an answer to your prayer! “Verily, I say unto you, if ye have faith and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.”

FAITH CREATOR – N0. 5

The Bible says: “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” (Rom. 8: 17). You may say: “I have no faith.” Many feel the same way – empty, drained and useless. They have no living, vital contact with God and seldom if ever receive answers to their prayers!

I have GOOD NEWS for you. You can know God personally through His Son Jesus Christ. His word will liberate you! And the Holy Spirit will place His life within you, if you receive Him as your personal Saviour!

There is only ONE POWER able to slow the process and clog the channel between God and us. The source that hinders and prevents the Lord from answering our prayers is the terrible sin of unbelief. If you must doubt something, then doubt your doubts and fears! Trust in God and his Word and you will be healed!

JESUS said: “With men this possible. But not with God, for with God all things are possible.” (Mark 10: 27). Amen.

                           ABBOTTSFIELD RECREATION CENTRE
                     3006 - 119 Ave, Edmonton, Alberta

Harry & Gladys Rusk in Edmonton July 14, 7:00 PM                                                                        Abbottsfield Recreation Centre 3006 -119 Ave.

            GOD IN CHRIST          RECONCILING MAN

By Pastor Max Solbrekken D.D.

Dying on the CROSS for us, under the weight of the world’s sins, sicknesses, diseases, pains and torments, our Saviour Jesus Christ prayed, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.” (Luke 23:34). Isaiah prophesied Christ’s vicarious death, for us: “I gave My back to the smiters, and My cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not My face from shame and spitting.” (Is. 50:6)

“And the angel said unto them (shepherds), Fear not, for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David which is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2: 10,11)

JESUS CAME TO SAVE, NOT TO JUDGE!

“Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on Me, believeth not on Me, but on Him that sent Me. And he that seeth Me, seeth Him that sent Me. And He that seeth Me seeth Him that sent Me. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on Me shall not abide in darkness.

And if any man hear My words, and believe not, I judge him not, for I came not to judge the world, but to Save the world. He that rejecteth Me, and receiveth not My words, hath One that judgeth him: the Word that I have spoken, the same will judge him in the Last Day.

For I have not spoken of Myself; but the Father which sent Me, He gave Me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that His commandment is life everlasting; whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto Me, so I speak unto you.” (John 12: 44-50)

“Now before the feast of the Passover, when Jesus KNEW that the hour was come that He should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved His own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end…Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that He was come from God, and went to God.” (John 13: 1-3)

JESUS was born crucified! He knew why He had come to earth. The Bible says, “Pilate therefore said unto Him, Art Thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest, I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the Truth.  Every one that is of the Truth heareth My voice.” (John 18: 36,37)

SAMARITAN WOMAN AT THE WELL!

“And He must Needs go through Samaria…There cometh a woman to draw water: Jesus said, God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Hin in spirit and in truth. The woman saith unto Him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when He is come, He will tell us all things. Jesus said unto her, I am He.

“The woman then left her water pot, and went her way into the city and saith to the men, Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: Is not this the Christ? (John 4:4, 7, 25,26)

“He is despised and rejected of men; a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief’ and we hid as though it were our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem Him, stricken, smitten of God and. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His stripes we are healed.

“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment, and who shall declare His generation, for He was cut off out of the land of the living; for the transgression of My people was He stricken.

“And He made His grave with the wicked, and with the rich in His DEATH; because He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth. Yet it pleased the Lord to BRUISE Him. He had put Him to Grief: when by His knowledge shall My Righteous Servant thou shalt make His soul an offering for SIN, He shall see His Seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.

“He shall see of the travail of His soul and shall be Satisfied; by His knowledge shall My Righteous Servant justify many; for He shall bear their iniquities. Therefore, will I divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong, because He hath poured out His soul unto DEATH: and He bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.” (Isaiah 53: 3-12)                                                                                                                                                                                      THE AWESOMENESS OF JESUS CHRIST!

A love that cannot be fathomed; A life that cannot die; A righteousness that cannot be tarnished; A peace that cannot be understood; A rest that can never be disturbed; A joy that can never be diminished; A hope that can never be disappointed; A glory that can never be clouded; A light that can never be darkened; A happiness that can never be interrupted; A strength that can never be enfeebled; A purity that can never be defiled; A beauty that can never be marred; A wisdom that can never be baffled; Resources that never be exhausted!  -  selected

On Christ the Solid Rock I stand. Other ground is sinking sand: “Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a New Creature, old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation:

“That is, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. For He hath made Him (Jesus) Sin for us, who knew NO Sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Cor. 5:17-21).

CHRIST GAVE HIMSELF FOR US!

“God…hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His Person, and upholding all things by the Word of His Power, when He by Himself Purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on High.

“Being made so much better than the angels, as He hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.” (Heb. 1:1-4); “But Christ being come an High Priest of good things to come, by greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building. Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own Blood He entered in once into the Holy Place having obtained eternal redemption for us.

CHRIST’S BLOOD PURGES CONSCIENCE!

“For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the Blood of Christ, who through the Eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, PURGE your conscience from dead works to serve the Living God?

“And for this cause He is the Mediator of the New Testament, that by means of DEATH, for the Redemptions of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of Eternal inheritance. And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of Blood is no remission....

“For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into Heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us…but now once in the end of the world hath He appeared to PUT AWAY SIN, by the sacrifice of Himself. (Heb.9:11-15; 22-28)

“Then said I, Lo, I come in the volume of the book, it is written of Me, to do Thy will. Then said He, Lo, I come to do Thy will O God. He taketh away the first, that He may establish the second. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

But This Man, after He had offered ONE SACRIFICE for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God;

For by one offering He hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. Whereof the Holy Ghost also a witness to us: for after that He had said before, THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THEM AFTER THOSE DAYS SAITH THE LORD, I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR HEARTS, AND IN THEIR MINDS WILL I WRITE THEM; AND THEIR SINS AND INIQUITIES WILL I REMEMBER NO MORE.

ENTER THE HOLIEST BY JESUS’ BLOOD!

“Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus. By a new and living way, which He hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, His flesh: And having an High Priest over the House of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for he is faithful that promised.” (Heb.10: 9-23); “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the God.

“But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the Living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels. To the general Assembly and Church of the Firstborn, which are written are written in Heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect.

“And to JESUS the Mediator of the New Covenant of the New Covenant, and to the BLOOD of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel. See that ye refuse not Him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused Him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from Him that speaketh from Heaven: Whose voice then shook the earth: but now hath He promised, saying, YET ONCE MORE I SHAKE NOT THE EARTH ONLY, BUT ALSO HEAVEN.

APPROACH WITH REVERENCE & GODLY FEAR!

“And this word, yet once more, signified the removing of those that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear; For our God is a CONSUMING FIRE.

“Now the God of Peace that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the BLOOD of the Everlasting Covenant. Make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” (Heb. 12:20,21)

God’s WORD states: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in Heavenly places in Christ: According as He hath CHOSEN us  in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: Having predestinated us the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.

“To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made ACCEPTED in the Beloved. IN whom we have Redemption through His BLOOD, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.” (Eph. 1: 3-7). Amen.

THE INASMUCH COMMANDMENT:                                        Are We All Guilty?

                         by: Pastor Max Solbrekken, D.D.

"Then shall the righteous answer Him, saying, Lord, when saw we Thee...in prison and came unto Thee?  And the King shall answer...Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren, ye have done it unto Me." (Matt. 25:37-40)

One of the least obeyed commands of our Lord is what we call the "Inasmuch Commandment"!

Although this scripture refers to the future "judging of the nations" by Jesus Christ Himself, it nevertheless reveals His heart of compassion! The "sheep nations" are those which have treated 'My brethren' (Israelis) with respect and kindness, and the "goat nations" are those which hate and abuse the Jewish people!

A POWERFUL LESSON FOR US ALL!

Jesus sends us a strong message, however, in how He identifies with the poor, needy, unloved, sick, and suffering of this world! God’s Word states: “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God unto the shepherds…

“The deceased have ye not Strengthened, neither have ye Healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with cruelty have ye ruled them.” (Is. 34:1-4)

There will be surprises when we all stand before the judgment bar of Christ; the ungodly at the 'great white throne judgment' and the righteous at the ' bhema seat'!  The wicked shall be judged to eternal damnation, because of rejecting Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.  And believers - who are saved by the merits of Christ's atoning work for them on Calvary's cross - will be judged by their works, for rewards!

The Bible says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.

“He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

“For everyone that doeth evil hated light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.” (John 3:16-21)

Rejecting Jesus Christ as the Saviour of the world is mankind’s greatest sin. God’s awesome gift of His own Son Jesus Christ to die for us on the Cross and rising from the dead, is the greatest Gift ever given! Rejecting Jesus Christ is a rejection of God the Creator!

HIS TESTIMONY THAT GOD IS TRUE

“He that cometh from Above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthy, and speaketh of the earth: He that cometh from Heaven is above all. And what He hath seen and earth, that He testifieth: and no man receiveth His testimony.

“He that hath received His testimony hath set to his SEAL that God is TRUE. For He whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto Him. The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into His hand.

“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life: but the wrath of God abideth on him.” (John 3: 31-36)

St. Paul warns:  "Every man's work shall be made manifest:  for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.  If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss:  but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire." (1 Cor. 3:13-15)

We are saved by the grace of God, but after conversion we must translate that experience into good works.  The Bible says, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance..." (Gal. 5:22-23)

I WAS HUNGRY AND YOU GAVE ME NO FOOD!

“When the Son of man shall come in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, shall He sits upon the Throne of His Glory: And before Him shall be gathered all nations: And He shall separate them one from another as a shepherd  divideth His sheep from the goats: and He shall set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.

“Then shall the King say unto them on His right hand, COME, ye blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took Me in: Naked and ye clothed Me: Iwas sick, and ye visited Me: I was in prison, and ye came unto Me.

“Then shall the righteous answer Him, saying, Lord, when saw we Thee an hungered, and fed Thee? Or thirsty, and gave Thee drink? When saw we Thee a stranger, and took Thee in, or naked, and clothed Thee? Or when saw we Thee Sick or in Prison, and came unto Thee?

“And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto the least of these My brethren, ye have done it unto Me. Then shall He say unto them on the left hand, Depart from Me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

"For I was an hungered, and ye gave Me no meat:  I was thirsty, and ye gave Me no drink:  I was a stranger and ye took Me not in:  naked, and ye clothed Me not:  sick, and in prison, and ye visited Me not.

"Then shall He answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not unto Me.  And these shall go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into life eternal." (Matt. 25:41-46)

St. James, the pastor of the world's first Pentecostal Church had some strong feelings on this subject also: "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world." (James 1:27)

TWO THINGS ARE VERY IMPORTANT!

According to St. James, the two most important aspects of the Christian life are:  1).  Help the needy - orphans and widows - in their trouble.  2).  To keep oneself separated from the world - to live a pure life!

For more than 30 years we fully supported the 'Solbrekken Children's Home' in Guntur, A.P., South India.  We send them more than $600 every month and sometimes large sums of money during special crises.

That's a lot of money, for a lot of years...month after month, year after year.

I have always tried to gauge my conduct by the standard:  "WHAT WOULD JESUS DO IN THIS SITUATION"?  We founded orphanages in Haiti and the Philippines and supported them for about 20 years, until they became self-supporting.

We presently help fund some gospel work in other nations! Our main gift to the heathen for about fifty years was conducting large crusades in many nations of the world, where multitudes have received Jesus Christ the Saviour of the world and Great Physician!

May the Lord bless you as you do your very best to help us spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost of this world and help lift the heavy burden of poverty and misery from their lives! And remember, Donna and I are praying for you and your needs! Amen.

LOCKED IN WITH GOD!

                                        by Pastor Max Solbrekken, D.D.

We are locked in with God, whether we like it or not. He is the Creator ot the world and all that is in it. He is over all and in us all. He is the giver of Life and He only is the True God .

There is Salvation in none other! His love was so great that He gave His only begotten Son to purchase our freedom from Sin and the power of Satan. When Jesus Christ, true God from eternity and true man through His virgin Birth,  suffered, bled and died as our substitute, and arose from the dead our Salvation was complete.  Satan was conquored for time and etenity!

When Jesus Christ arose from the dead on the third day, having purchased our eternal salvation, all heaven and earth rejoiced with great JOY, and Satan was totally defeated and consigned to the Lake of Fire forever!

Although the Lord is a God of variety who exercises great compassion, mercy, and patience, He is also very strict and orderly and works according to a divine pattern and design.

Let me explain; the Scripture tells us that God is love, (1 John 4:8) and yet the same Bible tells us that He is also a consuming fire. (Hebrews 12:29) Again the Bible speaks of God as a lawgiver, (Isaiah 32:22) who demands divine justice, and yet declares the beautiful fact that Jesus Christ brought grace into this world. (John 1:17)

The Word of God says that there are given to us great and precious promises that by these we might be partakers of the divine nature (II Peter 1:4) and yet the same Word of God that saves us and gives to us eternal life (John 10:28) will be opened at the judgment and will condemn those who reject the Gospel of Christ. (Revelation 20:12)

God has certain laws by which He operates and governs in the universe, as well as in heaven and upon earth. There are certain laws by which he saves or condemns.

THE LAWS OF GOD STILL EXIST

The same is true in the realm of physical healing. To His people He said, “If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.” (Exodus 15:26)

God’s law states that if His people would serve and obey Him, He would heal and bless them. If they would rebel against His word and break their covenant with Him, then His blessing and healing would depart and the curses which were reserved for the enemies of God would cleave unto them.

When there is a vacuum created by God’s absence in a life, the Devil makes sure that he fills that vacuum and places his curse upon them. When God’s protection is lifted off a life, there is an open door for torment, death, and destruction to enter.

The Bible says, “When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return to my house from whence I came out; and when he is come he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the first state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.” (Matthew 12:43 – 45)

THE GOODNESS OF GOD TRULY AMAZES ME

How many times God has sustained us, protected us and stopped the devil from harming us I will never know, but I do know that; “The angel of the Lord encampeth roundabout them that fear him, and delivereth them.” (Psalms 34:7) “When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.” (Isaiah 59:19)

Even though hell is a literal burning place of torment, I believe the worst thing about it will be the ABSENCE OF GOD and the knowledge that these people will never feel His sweet presence again.

Sickness and disease came into the world because of sin and death followed as a result of sin. There was no sin, sickness, disease or death before the fall and there won’t be any after Satan is bound for 1,000 years during the millennium. (Revelation 20:2) Praise God! The promise of God for His repentant, believing children as touching forgiveness and healing are numerous.

The WORD of God states: “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved;” (Acts 2:21) “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest;” (Matthew 11:28) “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;” (Mark 16:16)

“Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened;” (Matthew 7:7, 8)

JESUS CALLS SINNERS TO HIMSELF!

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” (Isaiah 1:18) “Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” (John 14:11 – 14)

“Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.” (James 5:14, 15)

WHATSOEVER SORE OR WHATSOEVER SICKNESS

I have shared with you mostly New Testament scriptures, now let me share with you this beautiful verse from the Old Testament taken from Solomon’s prayer during the dedication. “If there be dearth in the land, if there be pestilence, if there be blasting, or mildew, locusts, or caterpillars, if their enemies besiege them in the cities of their land;

“Then what prayer or what supplication soever shall be made of any man, or of all thy people Israel, when everyone shall know his own sore and his own grief, and shall spread forth his hands in this house: Then hear thou from heaven they dwelling place, and forgive, and render unto every man according unto all his ways, whose heart though knowest; (for thou only knowest the hearts of the children of men)” (2 Chronicles 6:28 – 30)

Does God Really Care? God’s laws work in every area of our lives. Those who believe in the name of Jesus, repenting of their sins and confess Him as Lord are saved. Those who hunger and thirst after righteousness are filled. (Matthew 5:6) The baptism of the Holy Ghost comes to those who obey God and desire more of Him. (Acts 5:32)

Physical healing is much a part of our inheritance (last will and testimony of Jesus Christ) and as much a part of the atonement as the forgiveness of sins. “For he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: (healing for our spirits) the chastisement of our peace was upon him; (healing for our minds or souls) and with his stripes we are healed.” (healing for our bodies) (Isaiah 53:5)

GOD PROSPERS HIS PEOPLE!

“Beloved, I wish above all things…” John was writing by the Holy Spirit. John’s will here was God’s will… “that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” (3 John 2) John,  wanted many good things for his flock. (God wants us to receive many good things too)

The three most important things however were; number one That they would prosper, number two – be in health, number three – that their souls would prosper. The first and second blessings were contingent upon the third, “even as thy soul prospereth.”

According to the spiritual blessing we receive from Christ, will determine how much physical, mental, and material blessing we will receive from Him. You may say, “I know of godly people who are sick and poor.” Godly people are not always rich in faith. Many people who lead good lives and trust Christ as Saviour MAY HAVE NOT trusted Him as Healer for their bodies or Baptizer in the Holy Ghost or Provider for their needs. You may ask why?

  1. Because they do not know the scriptures.
  2. Because they do not believe that God is interested in their little problems, e.g. cancer, arthritis, poverty. (May God have mercy upon pastors who do not bring the truth of divine healing and God’s blessing to the people. Please read Ezekiel 34:2-5)
  3. They underestimate God’s power. “Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.” (Matthew 22:29)
  4. They do not appropriate the promises for themselves. It is always for those in Bible times or during the coming millennium but not for today. They have the faith of Martha. “Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” (John 11:24) Jesus said however, “I am the resurrection, and the life;” Today! (John 11:25)
  5. They believe God chastises His children with foul cancer, evil spirits of insanity and crippling arthritis. They further believe that they are receiving a great blessing from their sickness when the Bible calls disease a plague, (Mark 5:34) and a curse. (Deuteronomy 28).

God is a million times better than we are and yet we would never put a curse or disease on any of our children to make them better, chastise them or bring glory to ourselves.

The preachers who preach this damnable heresy are blaspheming God and are charging Him with working with the devil and doing the work of evil spirits, the same as the Pharisees accused Jesus. (Mark 3:30)

  1. They believe that they are suffering for God’s glory, yet they run to doctors, clinics, and hospitals constantly. They have surgery and swallow innumerous pills to get rid of the blessing and deprive God of His glory, but they have no faith for healing through prayer.
  2. They are poverty stricken because they feel that God’s people should be poor and humble and yet they accept welfare payments from the government but will not work. There are three ways to get rid of poverty.

(a) Get a job. (b) Begin to give to God’s work. (c) Believe that God will prosper you according to His word when you give in faith.

Three things God wants for His people more than anything else. (3 John 2) Number one, spiritual prosperity – repentance, faith, love and joy, the baptism of the Holy Ghost, the gifts of the Spirit, the fruits of the Spirit and a burden for souls with fasting and prayer.

Number two, as we prosper spiritually, we will also be in health as we accept the Word of God regarding divine healing. Number three, then as we work hard, give to God’s work in faith believing, we will prosper financially and materially. Praise God.

 The Bible states, “Honor the Lord with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.” (Proverbs 3:9, 10);

“And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.” (Exodus 23:25) Jesus said, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33)

St. Paul wrote, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19). God’s Law of Sowing and Reaping, of Planting and Harvesting, and of Caring and Sharing Is Still Valid and Works Today.

Jesus said, “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” (Luke 6:38)

Elijah said to the window woman, “but make me thereof a little cake first;” (I Kings 17:13) When she gave to God’s servant out of her need, God’s blessing came upon her unto life. (I Kings 17:15, 16)

“Seek ye FIRST the kingdom of God; Give FIRST and it shall be given unto you; Honour the Lord with your substance and the FIRST FRUITS of all thine increase.”

Recently we coined the phrase that speaks of this ministry, WE SHARE BECAUSE WE CARE. Caring means sharing. We as Christians do not really care unless we are willing to share with others. Let us share the Gospel of Christ with the heathen of this world so that they may learn of Jesus, believe on His name and live.

MY PERONAL TESTIMONY

In 1958, I was given a wonderful vision by the Lord! It was shortly after we had purchased our own first new car (before, I used company cars), and I had obtained a very good job earning several thousands of dollars a year more than I had been earning previously.

My wife had just been converted to Christ and I was so happy for what God had done for me – as I lay in bed thinking about the goodness of God (Donna was asleep) suddenly I saw a vision. (If I was asleep or not, I do not know)

I saw a large silver tray with a very large bowl sitting in the middle of it. Then, as I continued watching I saw a clear, pure liquid resembling water, being poured into the bowl from up above and entering the bowl from every angle. I watched as the bowl filled up and I wondered if it would stop, but it kept coming – over-flowing the bowl and filling the platter – I wondered “Would it stop then?” but as I looked, I noticed it kept on coming and overflowed the platter.

I heard a voice say, “Give and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.” I knew it was the voice of God and immediately I was wide awake – I knew God had spoken to me and that He was with me and that I would prosper. Ever since God has blessed me!

When I was a commercial traveler, God helped me to always be one of the top salesmen and many times in the lead. When I left my well-paying lucrative position, I still had the blessing of God. The Lord has helped me, led me and guided me, so that tens of thousands of souls have been brought to Christ through our ministry, and great numbers have received miracles of healing and deliverance through our prayers.

Our ministry is now reaching many parts of the world and gaining strength, impact and prominence among many people as the years come and go. Our belief is that God has called me supernaturally by His Spirit and has a specific job for me to do which will yet take us into many more parts of the world.

SEVEN REASONS WHY GOD WANTS TO BLESS US

1.      Because of His great love for mankind and especially for His children. (Matthew 15:26; 3 John 2)

2.      Because of His word which He will fulfill and His promises which He is duty bound to keep. (Luke 6:38)

3.      Because of a definite law, both spiritual and physical which states, “you will reap what you sow, and the harvest will be greater than the seed planted.” (Genesis 8:22; Galatians 6:7, 8)

4.      Because we are His children and therefore, we are His responsibility. He wants us to have the best and since we are His advertising agents, I am sure that He wants to show the world that His gospel can accomplish and do in the lives of men. We are proof that the benefits of Calvary really work.

I am equally sure that He would not want to show off to the world an ignorant, weak, foolish, unsuccessful, fearful, discouraged, sick, sinful, mentally ill and poverty ridden people. He certainly has the power to bless His people to the extent that we can represent Him properly. (Malachi 3:17; Philippians 4:19)

5.      Because of the testimony of the Scriptures in the lives of men of God in times past.

a.      Abraham: “And I will make thy seed as the dust od the earth: so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.”  (Genesis 13:16)

b.      Job: “So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning ---So Job died being old and full of days.” (Job 42:12-17)

c.      Solomon: “That the Lord appeared unto Solomon…I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before Me, I have hallowed this house…”  (I Kings 9:3-5)

d.      Daniel: “… That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel…He delivereth and rescueth, and He worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions….so this Daniel prospered…” (Daniel 3:1 to 30: 6:1 to 28;)

6.      Because God has never changed, and we have proven His word to be true again and again when we give in faith. In my own life I have proven God honours our faith, answers our prayers, and fulfills His word. Thousands of people have proven the same thing too!

7.      Because our Heavenly Father has promised to honour those who love and serve His Son Jesus Christ.

“If any man serve Me let him follow Me; and where I am, there will My servant be: If any man serve Me, him will My Father honour.” (John 12:26) Amen.

Because God wants His people to prosper so that they can use their money to help the poor and reach the lost with the glorious gospel of Christ before it is too late. Please note “the scripture cannot be broken.” (John 10:35)

Whatever Jesus said will come to pass. The laws of God are absolute and what you sow you will reap. When you give to God, there will be a return far greater than what you give. God is not a respector of persons and God is no man’s debtor.

In closing let me give you this scripture, “No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.” (Psalms 84:11) And again, “But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully… for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (II Corinthians 9:6, 7) Amen.
