By Pastor Max Solbrekken,D.D.

Satan is called “the accuser of the brethren”. In Hebrew, the word Satan means enemy, adversary. He is the enemy of God and man. The word Devil in Greek means slanderer, liar, traducer!

The Bible says: “…for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.” (Rev. 12: 7-10

Satan was allowed to enter Heaven from time to time to “bring railing accusations” against God’s people! He was acting as a prosecutor bringing criminal charges against the saints in the courts of Heaven. (Psalm 109:6; Is. 50:8)

He brings up our sins and demands God to condemn us to hell, where he knows he will spend eternity. While he was accusing God’s people, he was challenged to check out Job whom God called a perfect man! (Job 1:6-12; 31:35)

Zechariah’s vision shows Satan accusing Joshua the High Priest (Zechariah 3:1-7) The Devil is portrayed as working day and night accusing God’s people.
The death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, however, defeated Satan completely and shut him out of Heaven.

After Jesus rose from the dead, having paid the price for our eternal salvation, He carried His pure and perfect blood into the Holy of Holies in Heaven.
The Bible says: “But Christ being come an High Priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but BY HIS BLOOD He entered in once into the Holy Place, and having obtained eternal redemption for us.” (Heb. 9: 11,12)

“Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus Christ.” (Heb.10: 19)

The Bible says: “And the great dragon was cast out, that old Serpent, called the devil, and Satan, which decieveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

"And I heard a loud voice saying in Heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength and the Kingdom of our God and the power of His Christ:
For the accuser of our brethren is Cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.” (Rev. 12: 9-12)

The blood of Jesus Christ is so powerful that it even cleansed the very place(Heaven itself) that Satan had been in his accusatory role of prosecuting God’s people:

It was therefore necessary that the patterns of the things in the heavens should be purified with these: but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.” (Heb.10:23)

Once the blood of Jesus Christ had been poured out for the sins of the world, Satan was forbidden from entering there in his accusatory role! (Rev. 12: 7-10) Jesus is our High Priest and ADVOCATE who pleads our cause before God the Father day and night! (Heb.10: 19-22)

“Wherefore He is able also to SAVE them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to MAKE INTERCESSION for them.” (Heb.7: 25)

We are safe in the arms of Jesus, trusting in His shed blood for our eternal salvation. (1 John 1: 7,9) The Holy Spirit of God protects us from all the powers of the Evil One and gives us power over him in Jesus’ precious name! (Luke 10: 17-20; Rom.8: 34-39)

I want to send a message to all the Arab,   Iranian and African Christians who are being brutally assaulted, raped, imprisoned, tortured and murdered by hate-filled, pagan, demented and demon possessed Islamic terrorist-killers:

The Eternal God Who gave His Son Jesus Christ to die as our Substitute in order to Redeem us all is with you! He will NEVER forsake you. Be true to our Lord Jesus Christ until death!

The 'inhumane beasts' who are torturing and killing you will spend eternity in Hell with their demented leaders because our Lord Jesus Christ declared that, "No murderer will be able to enter Heaven." (Revelation 21:8; 22:15)

There are millions of secret believers among these 'Slaves of Islam' who are forced to do these atrocities because of the uncivilized, demonic Imams who are worse than Hitler's Gestapo. Before they kill you, show them the love of Jesus. You may be able to win them for Christ!

Jesus said: I will never leave thee nor forsake thee. I will be with thee until the end of the world.” (Matt.28: 20; Heb. 13: 5) Amen.
