THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS       By Pastor Max Solbrekken, D.D.

“And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the Testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He doth judge and make war.

“His Eyes were a flame of fire, and on His Head were many crowns; and He had a name written, that no man knew, but He Himself. And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in Blood: and His Name is called The Word of God.” (Rev. 19:10-13)

The Book of Revelation gives us a glimpse of the Majesty of Jesus Christ, who is Lord of lords and King of kings. It reveals Him as true God from Eternity, becoming true Man through His virgin birth. His vicarious Death for us and glorious Resurrection from the dead satisfied the righteous demands of Divine Justice in the Court of Heaven to atone for the Sins of Adam and the entire human race! His Name is called 'The Word of God'!

The Testimony of Jesus is the fulfillment of Prohecy! It begins with God's LOVE for lost humanity by giving His own Son as the seed of the woman to crush and destroy the serpent' seed, Satan himself: "And God said, The seed of the woman will bruise (crush) thy Head..." (Gen. 3: 15). It ends with Jesus Christ rising from the dead in power and victory, pouring out the blessed Holy Spirit upon His blood-bought Church!

Through His amazing grace and mercy, Jesus of Nazareth gave Himself as God's Sacrifice Lamb to Redeem fallen Man through His vicarious death, by shedding His pure and holy Blood for us all!

The Bible states, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in the darness, and the darkness comprehendeth it not.

"He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. He was born, not of blood, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory of the only Begotten of the Father full of grace and truth." (John 1: 1-5; 9,10,13,14)

TRUE GOD AND TRUE MAN

"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, is of God:

"And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.

"We are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world." (1 John 4: 1-6)

ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have Everlsasting Life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." (John 3: 16, 17)

"But if we walk in the Light, as He is in the Light, we have fellowship one with another, and the BLOOD of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive our selves, and the truth is not in us.

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us. My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not.

'And if any man sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous: And He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole World. And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep his commandments.

"He that saith, I know Him, and keepeth not His commandments, is a liar, and the Truth is not in him. But whoso  keepeth His Word, in him verily is the LOVE of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him. He that saith  he abideth in Him ought himself to walk, even as He walked." (1 John 2 : 1-6)

ADVOCATE WITH THE FATHER

Jesus Christ is our Advocate and pleads our cause before God the Father, the Judge of the entire World. The word 'propitiation' means satisfaction, mercy seat, covering, atonement. It means that God was satisfied with the vicarious death of Jesus Christ for our sins and His glorious resurrection from the dead.

JESUS CHRIST took our place. He died for our sins. He is our Substitute, Liberator and Redeemer. The Bible says: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Being justified by His grace through the Redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth as a propitiation through faith in His BLOOD, to declare His righteousness for the remissin of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God." (Rom. 3:23-25)

"According as He hath Chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ unto Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will. To the praise of the GLORY of His praise, wherein He hath made us Accepted in the Beloved.

"In Whom we have Redemption through His BLOOD, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. In Whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who worketh  all things after the purpose of His own will." (Eph. 1: 4-7, 11)

"But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the Blood of goats and calves, but by His own BLOOD He entered in once He entered into the Holy Place, having obtained Eternal Redemption for us.

"For if the blood of bulls and goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the Blood of Christ, who through the Eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the Living God? (Heb. 9: 11-14)

"Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not Redeemed with corruptible things as silver and gold, from your vain converstion received by traditon from your fathers; But with the precious BLOOD of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

"Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, who by Him do believe in God, that raised Him from the dead, and gave Him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. Being Born Again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever." (1 Peter 1: 18-21, 23)

"But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as one thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to usward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come unto repentance.

"But the DAY of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a grreat noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

"Nevertheless we according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for these things, be diligent that ye be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.

"But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and for ever." (2 Peter 3:8-14, 17,18)

"And whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask anything in My name, I will do it. If ye love Me keep My commandmentds. And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever;

"Even the Spirit of Truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him; but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in yoiu. I will not leave you comfortles; I will come to you." (John 14: 13-17)

JESUS IS OUR INTERCESSOR!

"He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth: It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Nay, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.

"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the Love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Rom. 8:32-35, 37-39)

"But this man, because He continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. Wherefore He is able to SAVE them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them. For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made made higher than the heavens;

"Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for His own sins, and then for the people's: for this He did ONCE, when offered up Himself. For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the Word of the Oath, which was since the law, maketh the SON, who is consecrated for evermore." (Heb. 7:24-28)

"For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His OWN Blood He entered in once into the Holy Place, having obtained Eternal Redemption for us.

BLOOD OF CHRIST PURGES THECONSCIENCE

"For if the blood of bulls and of calves, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much MORE shall the BLOOD of Christ, Who through the Eternal SPIRIT offered Himself with from dead works without spot to God, PURGE your conscience from dead works to serve the Living God?

"And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood  is no remission. It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified by these; but the heavenly things  themselves with better sacrufices than these. For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true, but into Heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.

"... But now ONCE in the end of the world hath He appeared to put away SIN by the sacrifice of Himself. And as it is appointed  unto men once to die, by after this the judgment: So CHRIST was once OFFERED to Bare the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the Second time without sin unto salvation." (Heb. 9:11- 28)

"My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin Not. And if  any man sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous: And He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. And hereby we do KNOW  that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.

"He that saith, I KNOW Him, and keepeth not His commandments, is a LIAR, and the truth is not in him. But whosoever keepeth His Word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know that we are in Him. He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked. " (1 John 2: 1-6)

LOVE NOT THE WORLD

"Love not the world, neither the things that are in theworld. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that  doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

"Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there  many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. Who is a LIAR but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father; but he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

"Let that therefore abide in you, in which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. And this is the promise that He hath promised us, even ETERNAL LIFE.

"And now, little children, abide in Him; that when He shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. If ye know that He is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of Him." (1 John 2:15-18, 22-29)

"For if our heart condemn us, God is Greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward GOD, And whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep His commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.

"And this is His commandments, That we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment. And he that keepeth His commandments dwelleth in Him, and he in Him.  And hereby we know that He abideth in us, by the Spirit which He hath given us." (1 John 3:21-24)

HE THAT HATH THE SON HATH LIFE

"He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: He that beliveth not God hath made Him a LIAR, because he believeth not the RECORD that God hath given of His SON. And this the Record that God hath given to us Eternal Life, and the Life is in His SON. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son hath not life.

"These things have I written unto you that believe on the Name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal Life, and that ye may believe on the Name of the Son of God. And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He heareth us: And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we HAVE the petitions that we desired of Him." (1 John 5:10-15)

"There is therefore now no CONDEMNATION to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak  through the flesh, GOD sending His Own SON, in the likeness of sinful flesh, condemned Sin in the flesh.

"But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is Life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him that raised Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken (make life) your mortal bodies (weak, sick, tired) by His Spirit that dwelleth in you.

"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of fear; but ye have received the Spirit of ADOPTION, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit Himself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the Children of God: And if children, then Heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together.

"Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit Himself maketh intercession for us with groanings (unknown tongues) which cannnot be uttered. And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. What shall we then say to these things? If God  be for us, who can be against us?  He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him for us all, how shall He not also freely give us all things?

"Who shall separate for us from the LOVE of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecutionness, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  Nay, in all these things we are MORE than Conquorers through HIM that loved us. For I am  persuaded, that neither death, nor death, nor life, nor angels, nor things present, nor things to come,

"Nor height, nor depths, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate  us from the LOVE  of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."  (Rom.8:1-3, 9-11; 14-17, 26-28; 31,32; 35-39)
