                                                 Faith Creator – No. 1

The Bible says: “Ask and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you: for every one that asks receives; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.” (Matt.7: 7-8)

In this Scripture, Jesus Christ invites us to come to Him in prayer. He promises to answer our prayers when we come to Him in faith. In Matt. 21:22, He declares: “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.”

If you have prayed without any seeming results, continue praying; asking, seeking, and knocking until you receive! Jesus knew that sometimes our requests would not be answered immediately so He outlined three approaches we may use in prayer.

After having ASKED and not yet received, we take the second step and begin to SEEK. We seek the Lord with all our hearts. We do not give up, but rather intensify our prayers as we focus our attention on Him and His goodness and love toward us.

The Bible states unequivocally: “If My people which are called by My name, will humble themselves, and pray, and SEEK MY FACE and will turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and I will forgive their sins and heal their land.” (2 Chron.7: 14)

The closer relationship becomes with Jesus as we memorize God’s Word and appropriate His promises for ourselves, the more we will be filled with His Holy Presence and the miracle we desperately need will occur!  By searching the Scriptures, we develop a solid foundation from which to pray intelligently. We seek to learn what God’s Word teaches and know His Will in every matter.

We also have an opportunity to search our own hearts to determine whether there are hidden sins, attitudes, fears, or unbelief that need to be removed through genuine repentance, confession and seeking the presence and fellowship of the Holy Spirit!

WHAT AN INVITATION!

Finally, if after asking and not receiving, seeking, and not finding, we are admonished by our Lord Jesus Christ to KNOCK! What does that mean? We must hold onto God’s Word in true faith and patience until the answer comes! It means that we must keep knocking on Heaven’s door – in full faith of Calvary’s victory – in Jesus’ precious name, until God answers!

We must not stop asking and believing, thanking, praising, and worshipping God until our prayers are answered. He doesn’t always give us the exact thing we ask for, however, because He knows what is best for us.  And in times of prayer, He works things out in our lives that may be hindering our spiritual growth, and in the end, we often receive more than we asked for!

The Bible admonishes: “Be careful for nothing (don’t be anxious); but in everything by prayer and supplication (plea, entreaty) with THANKSGIVING let your requests be known unto God.” (Phil.4: 6). There is a definite connection between thanking God for what He has done and what He is going to do, when petitioning Him for anything!

St. Paul makes it clear that peace and tranquility will result when we follow that procedure: “And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (v.7). We can rest assured that He will keep His Word to us as we totally commit ourselves to Him and His service! He has promised: “Commit thy way unto the Lord. Trust also in Him and He will bring it to pass.” (Ps.37: 5)

And by continuing to thank and praise God daily after our prayers are answered, we can be assured of retaining what God has done for us and living a gloriously victorious and happy life! Amen.

Jesus promised: “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing they shall ask, it shall be done for them of My Father which is in Heaven.” (Matt.18: 19)

Knowing that repetition is a valued tool for learning, our Lord used this method while dispensing important instruction. He was in fact saying: “I’ve told you before, but this is so important you must hear it again!”

What was so important, that it needed re-telling the zealous group of unlearned and ignorant disciples that our Lord had handpicked to lead the Church? Some of the greatest and most profound truths are so simple and basic that people stumble over them, while others grasp their significance, patent them, and become prosperous, wealthy, or famous by doing so!

Jesus often used the simple principle of ‘strength through unity’, which becomes a formidable force when enabled by FAITH and TRUST and working in concert with the omnipotent power of Almighty God!  Men and women, united in urgent, desperate, and believing prayer for the purpose of seeing His mighty power manifested, have triggered some of the greatest conversions, healings and miraculous deliverances seen by mankind!

On the Day of Pentecost, as the eleven were standing shoulder to shoulder (as one man), Peter delivered a fiery message which brought tremendous conviction of sin, and the conversion of three thousand souls to Christ!  Peter and John walking TOGETHER into the Temple at the hour of prayer set into motion events that activated a great miracle of healing on an impotent man, bringing five thousand souls to Jesus Christ that very day.

And while the persecuted believers in Jesus the Messiah were praying together, after being warned by the religious authorities not to speak in His name, the place where they were assembled was shaken by the power of Almighty God!

WHAT DOES ALL THIS MEAN?

When two or more believers who are FOCUSED on a specific need, unite in mutual faith and trust in Jesus’ precious name and believing God’s never-failing Word, the Blessed Holy Spirit responds to that call and the miracle happens to the glory of God!

Through this and other invitations, our Lord Jesus Christ made it abundantly clear that He wants to answer our prayers! There is ample proof of that, through the many miracles He performed on needy, sick, diseased, and suffering people whom He healed! There is NOT a single recorded instance where JESUS refused to heal anyone who came to Him for prayer.

He healed all who were sick and performed staggering miracles for those who were diseased, during His earthly Ministry. He didn’t turn away anyone! He even sought out those who were unable to come to Him, like the demoniac from the Gadara (Mark 5: 1-15) and the infirm man at the Pool of Bethesda (John 5: 1-9).

All that is needed to receive from God is simple child-like faith in His holy Word. We must ask in faith, nothing doubting (James 1: 6), and He has promised to work a miracle on our behalf. Jesus promised that if we would believe His Word regarding whatever we desire of Him, it shall be done for us of His Father in Heaven!  (Matt.18: 19)

I call this the ‘Prayer of Agreement’! Without doubt, this is one of the simplest and the easiest ways to receive an answer to prayer! It is not necessary to have a Pastor or Evangelist minister to your needs. Any two people joining together in faith can touch the heart of God.  He makes up the triangle!

A mother and her sick child, a pastor and someone in a hospital room, or a husband and his wife praying for their needs to be met. All can receive miracles of salvation, divine healing, and provision! We have seen this happen countless times in our crusades and also by radio, TV and even through prayers made over the telephone! To God be the glory. Great things He has done and is still doing today! Amen and Amen.

Faith Creators – No. 3

The Bible says: “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” (Mark 9: 23); “… With men it is impossible; but not with God; for with God all things are possible.” (Mark 10: 27)

Jesus said what He meant and He meant what He said! He had no difficulty articulating His words of divine wisdom and truth. His strong appeal for disciples to preach His gospel and the statement that He would answer our prayers, were not shrouded in ambiguity! He had no hidden agenda. Everything was up-front with Jesus. He spoke the truth and communicated it openly!

The Great Commission is coupled with His promise to ‘back up His Word’ and the assurance of His constant presence with us! His Word is totally true, authoritative and binding! With God all things are possible. There is no power on earth that can stop the workings of His Almighty Holy Spirit.

The Bible says: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  (John 3: 16);  “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” (1 John 5: 11, 12)

There it is: Plain and simple, in black and white with no shades of gray! There is only one Saviour and His name is Jesus the Christ, Son of the living God. There is no other Saviour!

He alone carried our sins and sicknesses to Calvary. He alone paid the ransom for our sins and was crushed under that heavy load as He met the demands of divine justice to redeem Adam’s fallen race! It was Christ alone, Who died upon that ‘cursed tree’ and shed His pure and precious blood to save our never dying souls and rose again in power and glory!

CAN WE BELIEVE? Yes, we can and we must; if we are to enter into His rest (Heb.3: 14; 4: 6, 10, 11) and receive ‘the faith of God’ into our hearts so that we can be saved, healed and filled with the Holy Spirit!

Jesus said: “Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me; or else believe Me for the very works sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall ye do; because I go unto My Father.

“And whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall as anything in My name, I will do it.” (John 14: 11–15)

What does that mean? We must believe that Jesus Christ is God the Son, Who came to this earth to seek and save the lost. He who “being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

“But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him  the form of a servant, and was made  in the likeness of men: And being found as a man He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Phil. 2: 5-11)

As we take God at His Word, believing that what He said is true, the blessed Holy Spirit creates faith and life within us as we cast all our cares upon Jesus because He cares for us! (1 Peter 5: 7). God’s Word liberates from sin, sickness, fear and torment! Let Him do it for you today, my dear friend!

WHAT A POWERFUL MESSAGE!

The Bible declares: “And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He heareth us: and if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.” (1 John 5: 14-15)

We know that it is God’s Will to forgive sinners, bring healing to the sick and baptize believers with the Holy Spirit, because He says so! He healed the sick during His earthly Ministry and He gave His power to His twelve apostle and seventy disciples whom He sent out to preach the Gospel!

Before enduring the agonies of the cross where He suffered, bled and died to purchase our salvation from sin, fear, sickness and the devil’s power (Isaiah 53: 4, 5; 1 Peter 2: 24; Matt.8: 16, 17), Jesus gave these specific instructions to His followers:

“Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that you fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in My Name, He may give it you. These things I command you that ye love one another.” (John 15: 16, 17)

A jot is the smallest letter in the Hebrew language and a tittle is like the crossing of a t or the dot over an i. We are safe and secure in our belief in Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible as the Word of God! Amen.

Faith Creators - No. 4

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Heb.11: 1)

Many struggle with the concept of faith. To them it seems so abstract, illusive, far removed and unattainable. They are intimidated and feel that receiving a miracle from God through their own prayers is hopeless. They know that God does miracles but “not by my faith!” Yet they have faith that someone else praying for them could bring Gold’s blessing into their lives!

Others are very positive and easily declare: “I have all the faith in the world.” and yet they often do not receive anything from God

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” (Heb.11: 6)

FAITH IS THREE THINGS!

Faith is coming to God with your needs, believing that God is, and expecting a miracle when you pray.  By coming to God you are confessing that you cannot help yourself and that He is greater than you are. And that He can do what you cannot do. It is an act of faith and proves that you believe God’s Word!

Faith is believing that God is, Whom He claims to be! That He is eternal, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, immutable and transcendent! That simply means that God is without beginning and ending, all powerful, all wise and knowing, unchanging and over and above all!

And faith is expecting a miracle and an answer to your prayer!

“Verily, I say unto you, if ye have faith and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.”

                           Faith Creators – No. 5

The Bible says: “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” (Rom. 8: 17)

You may say: “I have no faith.” Many feel the same way – empty, drained and useless. They have no living, vital contact with God and seldom if ever receive answers to their prayers!

I have GOOD NEWS for you. You can know God personally through His Son Jesus Christ. His word will liberate you! And the Holy Spirit will place His life within you, if you receive Him as your personal Saviour!

There is only ONE POWER able to slow the process and clog the channel between God and us. The source that hinders and prevents the Lord from answering our prayers is the terrible sin of unbelief.

If you must doubt something, then doubt your doubts and fears! Trust in God and his Word and you will be healed! Jesus said: “With men this possible. But not with God, for with God all things are possible.” (Mark 10: 27)
