         All Things Are Possible

  By Pastor Max Solbrekkken, D.D.

“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” (Mark 9:23); “And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God, for with God all things are possible.” (Mark 10: 27)

Some people are born into an  affluent family. They may have everything provided for them from the cradle to the grave. Others are born into families that are poor and have to struggle just to make ends meet. Everyone, however, is  born in the image of God, spirit, soul and body, with a free will and an invitation to become His child!

Life itself is a gift from God. Every breath we draw is a miracle. Without oxygen we wouldn't be alive. Ever stop to think about the miracles of conception, childbirth, and procreation? Where did all that come from? Who is the giver of life? And what about being born again, filled with the Holy Spirit, divine healing and eternal salvation?

The Holy Bible states: “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void: and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light and there was light. And the Lord formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.” (Gen.1:1-3; 2:7).

                            OUT OF NOTHING

                         Bereshith Bara – Ex Nihilo

The Bible says: “God...hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds; Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His Person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.” (Heb. 1: 1-3)

God created the worlds out of nothing. He made the atoms, the building blocks of  the universe, out of nothing. And He still specializes in doing the impossible. After Jesus Christ had poured out His sinless blood for us, He returned to His Father's Throne, and poured out  the Blessed Holy Spirit upon the 120 waiting believers!

Our Lord had promised: “And, behold, I send the promise of My Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued  with power from on High.” (Luke 24: 49); “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me, both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)

                   THE CHURCH IS A MIRACLE!

It is true that Jesus said: “... I will build My Church and the Gates of Hell shall not Prevail against it.” (Matt. 16: 18). It is also true that His Church is made up of born again, blood washed human beings who have been changed by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are, however, not perfect. By God's grace, we are members in particular of the Body of Christ and walk by faith in His Word and are indwelt by the blessed Holt Spirit.

The miracle is that He trusts us to preach His Gospel, be taught by His Spirit, live by His Word and use His name to heal the sick and to  cast out evil spirits! And He is not ashamed to let us be called by His Holy Name and to be adopted as His children and be heirs of eternal Life!  He forgives the sinner, restores the fallen and strengthens the weak who trust in the shed blood of Jesus Christ. He fills believers with His Holy Spirit.

He heals the sick and suffering according to His Word. He still fills believers with the Holy Spirit. And He still leads, teaches and  delivers those who are bound by sin, sickness, fear, sickness and evil spirits!

He is the world's Only Healer! And since He is the Healer; it isn't difficult for Him to Heal us all. Our Creator God made us in the first place, so it is not hard for Him to heal us and make us well.

                    A STUDY OF HEBREW TEXTS!

The Bible states: “And God said. Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness. So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him: male and female created He them.” (Gen 1:26,27). “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life: and man became a living soul.” (Gen. 2: 7)

A study of the original texts teaches us how important we really are to Almighty God! The word man is 'adahm' which literally means 'the blood of God'. The word image is 'damoot' and denotes an 'exact duplication in kind'.

The Hebrew word for dust is 'afar' which means 'minute particles' and the word for ground is taken from the the Hebrew word 'adahmah' which has the literal meaning 'the totality of  all that God is'.

What does this mean  and how does it affect me? And why should I care about the literal meaning of these Hebrew texts? That may be your attitude now, but after you have read what I have to share next, you will rejoice with all true believers in Christ, for God's great plan for our lives.

                       GOD MADE US FROM HIMSELF!

“And God said, Let us (Elohim) make the blood of  God (man) an exact duplication in kind (in our image) of ourselves.” God took of Himself to make man. He took of His own life (the life is in the blood), that is why we are so precious to Him.

He made us triune (spirit, soul, and body) just like Himself. He is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We are created 'an exact duplication in kind' of God. He made man out of the minute  particles (dust) of the totality that God is (ground). Science has recently discovered that everything is made out of minute particles, exactly as the original Hebrew stated!

There was Nothing here in the beginning. God took of Himself to make everything! God is All in All. Without Him, there would be Nothing, and if He decided to take His hand of this world, we would all cease to exist!

The First Adam was deceived by Lucifer the LIAR and plunged the entire human race into sin and condemnation. In the fulness of time, Almighty God sent His only begotten Son as the Second Adam to destroy Satan and liberate the human race through His vicarious, all atoning death on the Cross and the glorious resurrection from the dead! Hallelujah. Amen.

St. Paul declares: “And so it is written, The first man Adam (blood of God) was made a living soul; the last Adam (blood of God) was made a quickening Spirit. Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which was natural. The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from Heaven.” (1 Cor. 15:45-47)

In the final analysis, our Saviour came into the world as the Second Adam to destroy and cleanse away the evil done by the First Adam through the shedding of His pure and holy Blood; the Blood of God! For this reason Jesus is also called the Last Adam! There will never be another one like Him. Period!

ONLY IN HIM IS THERE LIFE!

Only in Him is there life for now and for eternity. That is why St. Paul stated: “For in Him we live, and move, and have our being.” (Acts 17: 28). God took of Himself to make the earth, but He took of His own BLOOD (life) to make man.

That is why, “God will destroy them that destroy (corrupt) the earth.” (Rev.11: 18).  God will judge those who worship the earth, instead of worshipping Him and His Son Jesus Christ, who died for the sins of the world in order to purchase our Redemption

Christ's victory over Satan has purchased our Liberty from the EVIL ONE, for time and eternity! May God deliver everyone reading these lines, from the cursed doctrine of GAIA-Mother earth worship! The precious blood of our Saviour has redeemed us from the curse of the Law and the power of Satanic Bondage. The Blood of Jesus Christ has freed us from the slavery of sin, fear, sickness, disease and death!

The Bible says: “For as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through Death He might Destroy Him that had the power of death, that is, the Devil; and Deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” (Heb.2: 14,15)

JESUS said: “All power is given is given unto Me in Heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have taught you, and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the world.” (Matt. 28: 18-20)

                    CHRIST'S GREAT COMMISSION!

“Afterward He appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat and upbraided  them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they  believed not them which had seen Him after He was risen. And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and thy shall recover.” (Mark 16: 14-18)

Some questions: “How was it possible for the Gospel of Christ to encompass the world, when He died on that cross? Why was the Jewish Messiah rejected by His own people? Out of His band of twelve apostles, one denied knowing Jesus and another was the betrayer. Simon Peter denied Him out of cowardice and Judas betrayed Him for money or filthy lucre!

Here is the Answer: The One who was brutally scourged with the Roman cat-of'-nine tails at Pontius Pilate's Judgment Hall and nailed to a rugged cross on the Hill of Golgotha, died to atone for the sins of mankind, past, present and future! God the Son was incarnated (God in human flesh). And the Sinless One who rose from the dead three days later through His vicarious death and glorious resurrection had purchased our eternal salvation and total Redemption! Amen.
