On Sunday April 12, 2015, I had the privilege of again meeting Lanny Hagen 48 years after we first met at Radio CFCW. In 1966 we were still living in White Rock, British Columbia. I had returned from 3 1/2 months across the Philippines and India, and was preaching in Alberta. I was producing radio programs at CFCW when I met Lanny Hagen and had the privilege of praying for him in Jesus' precious name! - Pastor Max Solbrekken

testimonial:
In the summer of
1966 I was diagnosed as having a kidney in need of a major operation.
This was at the University of Alberta Hospital. The attending Doctor
initially spoke of a transplant in my case but after several tests
concluded that the kidney could be saved. This would involve removing
the kidney, bisecting it and then restoring its function by means of
which escape me. A date was set for the surgery in the spring of
1967.
At the time I was
working at CFCW in Camrose Alberta and one of my duties involved
recording Pastor Max Sobrekkens’ Radio program. After one session
in the late fall or early winter I mentioned my dilemma to Pastor
Max. He immediately laid hands on me and prayed in Jesus name for a
healing. I remember praying along with Max when his program was being
aired but in all honesty I was not a believer.
In the spring of 1967 I checked into the Hospital and more tests
were ordered before surgery. The results of the tests showed the
kidney to be operating at a level above normal, so much so that the
good doctor cancelled the surgery and could not explain the change in
the appearance or the function of the kidney. I don’t remember the
doctors words but I remember his puzzled surprise. I too was taken by
surprise. It’s been 48 years, and a kidney that gave me problems
for years hasn’t given me a problem in any way since. Praise the
Lord. Thank you Max, for believing when I did not.
