A Blessed Canada Day to everyone!

HAPPY CANADA DAY – JULY 1, 2011
SHALOM - MAY GOD'S PEACE BE WITH YOU!
By Pastor Max Solbrekken, D.D.
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people (Israel) for whom He hath chosen for His own.” (Ps. 33: 12); “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice, but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.” (Prov. 29: 2)
We have a lot to be thankful for and rejoice in on this CANADA DAY. We live in a free country with the world’s most respected leader as our Prime Minister and a Federal Government which stands for the ideals and spiritual values which have been missing since the time of Prime Minister John G. Diefenbaker!
Is it any wonder that God’s blessing is upon Canada since Prime Minister Stephen Harper has brought us back to intelligent government in respect to the democratic nation of Israel as she faces hate-filled, murderous and demonic tyrants in the Middle East and Europe who seek her destruction.
Concerning the Hebrew race God stated: “And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shall be a blessing. And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: And in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed.” (Gen. 12: 2, 3)
You may ask, “Why does so-called Christian Europe and dictatorial Muslim nations hate Israel? And why will the ANTICHRIST hate Israel?” Plain and simple: Israel gave the world the Saviour Jesus Christ and they do not want Him to rule over their perverted, evil, wicked hearts! Read Psalms 2: 1-12.
Why do you think there is such hatred in the Muslim nations against each other and why is Europe teetering on the brink and why is the United States almost bankrupt since President  Barak Hussein Obama has taken the side of Israel’s hate-filled enemies and is trying to throw God’s chosen people under the bus?
SHALOM: PEACE & TRANQUILITY!
One of God's Seven Compound Redemptive Names is Jehovah Shalom. The Hebrew word “shalom” means peace and tranquility or “the opposite of war”
The foundation of almost every Hebrew word is a root composed of three consonants and each root has its own basic meaning. The other letters that fill in around that root to create a word can be used in various ways to make other words. Something of the basic meaning of the root always remains in the meaning of the other words, as well.
The root of the word “shalom” is sheen-lamed-mem. It is transliterated into English as SH-L-M with a basic meaning of wholeness and completeness. Shalom also means friendship that is grounded in trust or peaceful understanding. It also can mean well-being, safety and salvation.
Clarence A. Wagner Jr. writes in ‘Shalom: Peace Be Unto You’: “Literally, hundreds of words are built from the root SH-L-M and all of them have some connection to this basic meaning. For example, ShaLem means “complete” and is also the name of the city of Melchizedek mentioned in Genesis 14: 18 (transliterated in English as “Salem”). SheLem means “peace offering” which was part of restoring a broken relationship with God. SheeLem means “he paid”, that is, he completely fulfilled his obligation.”
The Bible states: I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace (shalom shalom) to him that is afar off, and to him that is near, saith the Lord; and I will heal him." (Isaiah 57: 19) This Scripture verse is referring to God's Salvation though Jesus Christ Who is our PEACE and brings complete wellness and healing!
MARTIN LUTHER stated: "The whole Bible is about Christ ONLY everywhere." The word shalom is paralleled with other biblical synonyms for Salvation such as 'tsedakah' for righteousness and 'yeshua' for help!
St. Paul stated emphatically: "But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For He (Jesus Christ) is our PEACE (shalom - salvation) Who hath made both one and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us...
“And came and preached peace (shalom - salvation) to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. For through Him we both (Jews and Gentiles) have access by One Spirit unto the Father." (Eph.2: 13-18)
Please pray for the peace, safety, healing, wellness and total salvation of Israel and for our Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Canada! Amen.
