TOTAL HEALING THROUGH THE WOUNDS OF CHRIST By Pastor Max Solbrekken, D.D.
It is a joy to declare the forgiveness, healing and liberty we receive through Christ’s vicarious death on the Cross, and His resurrection from the dead! The precious Blood of Jesus Christ that was shed for us on Golgotha, has purchased our total salvation!
"In Whom we have redemption through His blood, even the Forgiveness of sins, according to
the riches of His grace". (Eph. 1:7)
(II) WE RECEIVE REDEMPTION THROUGH HIS BLOOD!
"Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed
with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation
received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and
without spot:" (1
Peter
"Take heed therefore unto yourselves,
and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to
feed the church of God, which He hath
purchased with His own blood." (Acts
(III) WE RECEIVE CLEANSING FROM SIN THROUGH HIS BLOOD!
"But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, And the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sins.” (1 John 1:7)
(IV) WE ARE LOOSED FROM OUR SINS BY HIS BLOOD!
"And from Jesus Christ, Who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the Prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood." (Rev. 1:5)
(V) WE ARE JUSTIFIED THROUGH HIS BLOOD!
"Much
more then, being now justified by His
blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him." (Rom. 5:9). "Being justified freely by his grace through the
redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a
propitiation through faith in His blood,
to declare the righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through
the forbearance of God;" (Rom.
(VI) WE RECEIVE PEACE THROUGH HIS BLOOD!
"And having made peace through the death of His cross, by Him to receive all things unto himself;" (Col. 1:20)
(VII) WE RECEIVE ACCESS TO THE FATHER THROUGH HIS BLOOD!
"Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which He hath consecrated for us through the veil, that is to say, His flesh;" (Heb. 10:19-20)
(VIII) WE RECEIVE DIVINE HEALING THROUGH HIS BLOOD!
"But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed." (Is. 53:5)
"Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by Whose stripes ye were healed." (1 Pet. 2:24)
(IX) WE RECEIVE VICTORY OVER THE DEVIL THROUGH HIS BLOOD!
"And they overcame him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony." (Rev. 12:11)
(X) WE ARE SANCTIFIED THROUGH HIS BLOOD!
"Wherefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify His people with His own blood, suffered without the gate." (Heb. 13:12)
(XI) WE RECEIVE A CLEAR (PURGED) CONSCIENCE THROUGH HIS BLOOD!
"How much more shall the blood of Christ, Who through the Eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience (mind) from dead works, to serve the Living God?" (Heb. 9:14)
(XII) WE RECEIVE ETERNAL GLORY THROUGH HIS BLOOD!
"These are they which come out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple: and He that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
"For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne
shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of water: and God
shall wipe away all tears from their eyes." (Rev. 7:14-17)
6) WOUNDS BY MUTILATION: the plucking out of His beard. "I
gave My cheeks to them that plucked out the hair" (Is. 50:6) Not only did
they slap and spit upon His face but they yanked out His beard causing the
wounds of mutilation.
Can you imagine the awful pain, as cruel Roman soldiers pulled out His
beard! The blood flowed down upon
Christ's chest as cruel tormentors mutilated His face by tearing out handfuls
of His beard.
He did it for us, because by "His
Sore" (original Hebrew) we are healed! He was "one
sore" from head to toe, by the time He had undergone the full
mistreatment which the Roman soldiers heaped upon Him! He suffered more than any man and He did it
all for us - to purchase our salvation!
7) WOUNDS BY FALLING:
They laid the rugged cross upon His lacerated, bleeding back and forced
Jesus to carry His own cross, as was the custom for condemned criminals. Due to loss of blood because of the
scourging, He was unable to do so.
As He stumbled and fell,
His body received more bruises and sores, and He suffered more pain, for us! Historians
claim, that after His striping in Pilate's Judgment Hall, Jesus was subjected
to a heavy wooden cross laid upon His raw, bleeding back.
Apparently, the cross bar was tied to His wrists and the stock to His left ankle. When He stumbled and fell, He had no way to protect Himself, so His body was further bruised and battered!
Roman soldiers then forced a stranger, Simon of Cyrene to bear His cross up Calvary's hill. "And He bearing His cross went forth to the place of a skull..." (John 19:17) "And as they led Him away they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus" (Luke 23:26) (Mark 15:21)
CHRIST WAS WOUNDED FROM HEAD TO FOOT WITH SEVEN WOUNDS IN ORDER TO BRING US HEALING!
St. Matthew stated, “When the even was come, they brought unto Him many that were possessed with devils: and He cast out the spirits with His word, and healed all that were sick: “That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Easias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.” (Matt. 8:16-17)
St. Thomas, upon his encounter with the risen Christ declared, "My Lord and my God". (John 20:28)
MAY THE RISEN CHRIST BLESS AND HEAL YOU AS YOU APPROPRIATE HIS PROMISES FOR YOURSELF!
CHAPTER 3
EXERCISING AUTHORITY OVER THE DEVIL!Jesus Christ is “The Great Physician”, as well as the Lord and Master over Satan, demons and all their evil works! And that includes sickness, fear, oppression, lust and death because disease is incipient death!
Christ’s atoning work on
Golgotha has purchased our freedom from the curse of the law! (Gal. 3:13) Actually, the miracle occurred in the mind of
God “when the Lamb of God was slain
before the foundations of the world”. (Rev. 13:8) However, when Jesus died on Calvary’s cross, the price was paid in full, for our total
salvation which includes physical healing!
It is a proven fact that
we can claim divine healing by the stripes of Jesus, borne for us on
Calvary! Isaiah 53:4-5 bears testimony
to the effectiveness of Christ’s work on our behalf on the whipping pole and on
the cross. Matt. 8:16-17 & 1
Peter 2:24 confirm our healing. Jesus instructs us to lay claim to it in Mark
11:22-24 !
“Surely He hath borne our griefs (sicknesses), and carried our sorrows (pains): yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:4-5)

saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” (Mark 11:22-24)
WALKING OVER SATAN!
In this message, I share vital truths which will
enable us to walk all over the devil!
What a marvellous reversal; we walk over him, instead of him walking
over us!
St. Paul made that crystal clear! We
have power over ALL evil spirits, sicknesses and diseases, as well as Satan himself, in Jesus’ Mighty Name!
To a group of persecuted Christians, Paul stated, “And the God of Peace shall
bruise Satan under your feet shortly”. (Rom.
Rejoice as you read these glorious truths given by the great apostle, through
the Blessed Holy Spirit. “Neither give
place to the devil...” (Eph. 4:27)
“Nay, in all these things we are more than
conquerors through Christ Who loved us.”
(Rom.
“But my God shall supply all your needs, according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 4:19)
“Now unto Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly more than we can ask or think…” (Ephesians 3:20) “And having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.” (Col. 2:15)
The Bible clearly reveals that Jesus Christ has given His servants power and authority over ALL DISEASES and DEVILS!
We have not only been given protection against Satan and his evil army, but also power over Satan’s designs; none of his goals or strategy will succeed for very long, because he is already judged, condemned and his kingdom Doomed forever!
Our Lord promised to send the all-powerful Holy Spirit, to equip His followers after His departure. Jesus said, “But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you...” (Acts 1:8
DEMONSTRATING SATAN’S DEFEAT!
“And when He is
come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of
judgment: Of sin, because they believe
not on Me; Of righteousness, because I go to My Father, and ye see Me no more;
Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.” (John 16:8-11)
The Amplified Bible really makes these verses come to life! It states, “THE HOLY SPIRIT HAS COME TO DEMONSTRATE CHRIST’S VICTORY OVER SATAN”! Satan is already judged and totally defeated by the cross-work of Jesus on Golgotha!
Jesus said, “...I will build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”. (Matt. 16:18) The ‘gates of hell’ speaks of the designs, plans, strategies, goals and weapons of Satan. They are all doomed to failure! Jesus said it, I believe it and that settles it
It was not difficult for Jesus to speak such triumphant words, since He had witnessed Satan’s rebellion and defeat, being cast out of Heaven by Michael and his angels
Our Lord said, “I beheld Satan as lightning fall from Heaven. I give unto you power over all the power of the enemy and NOTHING SHALL BY ANY MEANS HURT YOU”! (Luke 10:19)
IT IS INTERESTING TO NOTE THAT JESUS GAVE HIS DISCIPLES BOTH POWER AND AUTHORITY TO HEAL DISEASES AND CAST OUT DEVILS!
Authority, is the “divine right” to use the Name of Jesus to expel the evil one and heal the sick. Power, is the “ability” to do it! The scripture says, He gave them power and authority OVER and AGAINST all diseases and devils! For us to be effective in freeing people from sin, sickness, disease and demons, we must actively oppose these evil powers, and then exercise our God-given authority over them!
Jesus said, “All power is given unto Me in Heaven and on earth. Go ye into all the world and preach the
gospel to all nations...” (Matt. 28:18-19)
“And
these signs shall follow them that believe.
In My name shall they cast out devils.
They shall speak with new tongues.
They shall take up serpents and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall
not hurt them. They shall lay their
hands on the sick and they shall recover.” (Mark 16:16-17)
The Bible says, “Submit yourselves therefore unto God. Resist the devil and HE SHALL FLEE FROM YOU”.
(James 4:7) When Jesus Christ, the Son
of God effectively used the WORD OF GOD to thwart Satan’s temptation, the evil
one had to obey His command, “Get thee
behind ME Satan, for it is written...” (Matt. 4:4-10)
The Bible says, “How God anointed Jesus
of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power; Who went about doing good, and
healing all that were oppressed of the devil (under the dominion or leadership of the devil); for God was with
him”. (Acts
Jesus said, “The Kingdom of Heaven suffereth violence and the violent taketh it by force”! (Matt. 11:12) One translator gives us this literal meaning: “THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS ADVANCING FORCEFULLY DESTROYING THE STRATEGY OF SATAN TO CONTAIN US AND MAKE US INEFFECTIVE. AND FORCEFUL MEN LAY HOLD OF IT”.
This Scripture simply means that there is a violent, supernatural battle going on between God’s forces and satanic forces...for the souls of men!
And that if we are to win, we must become militant and demanding in our
attitudes and actions against Satan and the forces of darkness, which seek
dominance in the hearts of human beings!
If we are to enter into God’s Kingdom, be a part of His Strike Force and Rescue
Operation, we must aggressively take our position for righteousness,
and against evil. Then we must press the
battle to Satan’s doorstep as we win souls for Jesus Christ!
Those who enter into His Kingdom get excited about Jesus, put on the whole armour of God and press into the battle “with an ardour resembling violence”!
And we use God’s (force) power to drive out evil spirits from the lives of those tormented, and the powerful blood of Jesus Christ washes away every sin, while the Blessed Holy Spirit breaks the power of fear as He brings God’s peace and love to each heart and life!
The Bible says, “NO weapon that is formed
against thee shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against thee in
judgment THOU shalt condemn. This is the
heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of Me, saith
the Lord.” (Isaiah 54:17)
Again the Holy Spirit witnesses, “There shall NO EVIL befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh unto THY dwelling”. (Psalms 91:10)
WE MUST DEMONSTRATE SATAN’S DEFEAT!
We have been given legal rights and the power of attorney to use Jesus’ Name against the Devil and sickness, achieving the same results as if Jesus himself were here in person speaking to the devil and the disease!
Study the record, dear friend: There is not one case where Satan or his evil spirits of sickness, disease, infirmity or darkness could remain when Jesus commanded them to leave! NOT ONE INSTANCE OF DISOBEDIENCE! In every case, Satan had to obey THE MASTER!
Isn’t that glorious? He also must obey
US when we speak to him in Jesus’ Name, because we have been given the Divine
Right to use His Name. WE HAVE THE POWER OF ATTORNEY, IN HIS
NAME! HALLELUJAH TO THE LAMB!
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, in the name of my Saviour Jesus
Christ, Your only begotten Son, I receive that authority from You NOW and
command the devil to take his filthy hands off my life and everyone reading
these words, FORTHWITH! He must take his infirm demons of sickness
and disease and Depart now from all who believe and claim these scriptures! “IN
JESUS’ NAME, AMEN.”
P.S. Heavenly Father, I thank You for hearing me. Your Word is dependable and You cannot fail me, for YOU CANNOT LIE! You are duty bound to keep covenant with me! Heavenly Father, according to THY WORD, it is done! Mark 11:24. Even if we believe not, You still remain faithful...You cannot deny Yourself! (2 Tim. 2:13)
And the very fact that we are not perfect, proves that You and Your salvation is real. Dear Lord, Your grace still works; You still save, forgive, and heal, for You are God!
