Limbaugh on Market Collapse: Obama Engineering the Decline of America

Top-rated talk radio host Rush Limbaugh finds a “silver lining” in the downgrading of America’s credit rating: There no longer is any doubt that President Barack Obama can be roundly defeated in 2012.

“Obamageddon — that's what we have witnessed since Friday,” Rush told his listeners on Monday.

“Obamageddon. Barackalypse Now. The only silver lining I can find is that as far as 2012 goes, Obama's a Debt Man Walking. Anybody want to tell me he's not landslidable now?

“Let me repeat this as the Media Tweak of the Day: ‘What we have witnessed since Friday is Obamageddon, Barackalypse Now. And the only silver lining out there is that as far as 2012 goes, Obama's now Debt Man Walking."

In his blistering attack on Obama and the Democrats, Limbaugh asserted that “we have a president that’s overseeing — engineering — the decline of the American republic.”

He also charged that Democrats are trying to play the blame game against Republicans over the financial crisis.

“Obama is always running around complaining and whining and moaning about all that he inherited from George W. Bush,” Rush said.

“Well, he inherited a AAA credit rating, an unemployment rate of 5.7 percent.

imbaugh's comments came the Monday after Standard & Poor's downgraded the U.S. credit rating from AAA to AA-plus , and the Dow tanked 634 points. Obama blamed the downgrade on political gridlock in Washington and said he would offer some recommendations on how to reduce federal deficits.

Obama stopped short of sharp criticism of Standard & Poor's for its downgrade of U.S. debt to AA-plus from AAA on Friday. Senior administration officials have accused S&P of going ahead with the downgrade despite a $2 trillion mathematical error.

"Markets will rise and fall, but this is the United States of America. No matter what some agency may say, we have always been and always will be a triple-A country," Obama said.

As Obama spoke, stock markets were registering another steep decline, dropping more than 450 points in afternoon trading.

A joint bipartisan congressional committee, to be formed under the legislation passed last week that averted a government default, is to report its recommendations in late November on how to cut $1.5 trillion in spending over a decade.

Obama said he would offer his own recommendations for fixing the problem and cited again the need to raise taxes on wealthier Americans and make modest adjustments to popular but expensive entitlement programs.

Limbaugh took the president's comments about the S&P, and threw them right back.

“What are the Democrats doing? Blaming the referees! Blaming Standard & Poor's! That always changes the outcome, doesn't it? Blame the refs.

“So go ahead and blame Standard & Poor's all you want, Democrats. Now they're blaming the military! Barney Frank and the Democrats are trying to say it's the military's fault that we've been downgraded.

“This is the fault of the Democrat Party," Limbaugh said, exasperated.

Limbaugh went on to say: “So now we know what Obama got for his birthday: A downgrade of our credit rating, probably exactly what he wanted in his heart of hearts . . .

“World War II, we had a AAA credit rating, and we lose it now, and for what? For what great purpose did we lose it? Except an ideological hatred of American capitalism and a love of class warfare, what did we lose our AAA rating for?

“Think about it: Obama's finally managed another major accomplishment on that list he told us he had, that list that he said he'd only done about 70 percent so far. At long last, Obama and his fellow Democrats have finally been able to convince the world that we are just another country, after all. There's nothing exceptional about us or our economy.

“For crying out loud, France has a higher credit rating than we do. France! They produce cheese and perfume, for crying out loud!”

But one person who does not buy into the theory that Obama is deliberately undermining the economy is Donald Trump. The billionaire developer said on Monday that the president is incompetent not malicious.

“There is a theory that he is doing it on purpose but I absolutely do not believe that. He’s just ill-equipped to be president,” Trump told New York’s WOR radio. “Tremendous wrong moves are being made.”

Host Steve Malzberg asked him if he thinks that Obama takes a sip of champagne every time a trillion dollars goes out of the economy.
“No, I really don’t,” replied Trump. “You just have a president who is not doing a good job."

  A number of highly contagious and deadly diseases are threatening to destroy the Church in this midnight hour! An unholy epidemic of huge proportions is sweeping the world and seeking to eradicate the very life of God out of our midst!

        Without doubt, Satan is on a fevered rampage to still the voice of the Holy Spirit by deliberately infiltrating Christian Seminaries and Bible Colleges with those who do not believe God’s Holy Word and are on a Crusade to instill their Secular Humanism, Skepticism and Higher Criticism into the responsive minds of our young people!

       When you know this, you will realize what the ‘Jesus Seminar’ and others of their ilk are all about!  That army of zealous workers are in reality New Age advocates, who are totally committed to a world government and world religion, which would replace Christianity and all other religions to bring about a so-called “harmonious convergence” to the world.

      Their leader is Lord Maietrea, the so-called ‘Christ’, who according to their deceptive, diabolical beliefs is a re-incarnation of Buddha, Confucius, Moses, Jesus and Mohammed!

Satan is seeking to enslave, deceive, cripple and destroy God’s servants through pride, discouragement, stress, sickness, scandal or lack of finances!  He is using all possible means to reach his goal in this unholy battle against Almighty God.  Every temptation, trial, controversy, dispute, calamity, plague and disease known to man is employed by this master deceiver and strategist!

       By attacking the words of Jesus Christ, they are doing what no one else has dared to do.  Even though scientists, archeologists, mathematicians, historians and theologians have proven the Old and New Testaments reliable and totally trustworthy in numerous ways, these pseudo theologians, through mere speculation are declaring themselves experts in a field which they know very little about.  

      These deceivers are unreliable and agenda driven, focused on spreading falsehoods concerning the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Holy Word of God! They are not willing to use established scientific methods to establish the truth but rest their case simply on pure speculation!

     Together with an unholy mosaic of “rogue preachers, unregenerate theologians and an occult-friendly cacophony of radical feminists, abortionists and homosexual rights groups”, these ‘enemies of Christ’ are those seeking to overthrow Christianity by tampering with the veracity of the Holy Bible!

      Independently, arrogantly and openly - with great fanfare - these impostors (Jesus Seminar) regularly tamper with the sacred texts of the Old and New Testament Scriptures! Without any jurisdiction they are brazenly saying:  “God’s Word, which has come to us by the Holy Spirit, through anointed men of God and prophets, is invalid and untrustworthy”!

THESE PREJUDICED

BLASPHEMERS ARE BOASTERS!

      In essence these prejudiced blasphemers are boasting: “We know more than God, Jesus Christ, Moses, the Apostles, Early Church Fathers, Martin Luther, John Wesley and Billy Graham”.

      These foolish men are saying: “We know more than the hundreds, yea thousands of great Bible translators, theologians, missionaries, pastors and evangelists - who have preached Christ’s Gospel with power across the world for the past two thousand years!”

     These pride-filled RAMBOS need a genuine meeting with God! I am vitally concerned for “men of the cloth” who get sucked into Satan’s pride-trap!  The Evil One knows, only too well, that pride and rebellion caused his downfall! 

     WHY IS THIS?  Pride causes people to believe ignorant and stupid things, because they have accepted a false opinion of themselves! The deluded Jesus Seminars so-called theologians fall into that category!

     Satan has convinced them that they are super-intelligent and know everything.  They have been deceived into believing that they are smarter than everyone else! And they definitely think they know more than God or the Bible!  St. Paul warns:  “For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself”. (Gal. 6:3)

       A person doesn’t need to be handsome, beautiful, intelligent, well-connected or rich to be proud.  I have met some of the ugliest, most ignorant, uneducated and poorest of people who have been filled with pride!

       Refusing to believe God’s Word and rejecting Jesus Christ - the fountainhead of all wisdom and knowledge - has to be the most sickening thing I have encountered in people in more than four decades of Christian Ministry!

      The Bible says:  “He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made Him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of His Son”. (1 John 5:10)

      Anyone who rejects Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour has in fact, called Almighty God “A LIAR”!  The very act of rejecting Christ calls God’s truthfulness into question! St. John emphasizes:  “And this is the record that God hath given to us eternal life and this life is in His Son.  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life”. (1 John 5:11-12)

THE GREAT DIVIDE!

      The Bible makes it clear that there is only one way to be saved and that is through the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus Christ for us!

       St. John declares:  “And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding; That we may know Him that is true, and we are in Him that is true, and, even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is True God, and Eternal Life.” (1 John 5:19-20)

       Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me”. (John 14:6) That’s very clear - No ifs, buts or maybes!

      Again He stated, “I am the door: by Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.  I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep”. (John 10:9-11).

      My message to apostate preachers who are compromising with the world and corrupting God’s Word, for their own personal advantage, prestige or popularity:

“Do not masquerade as a Christian Minister if you do not believe or practice God’s Word! Do not corrupt the Bible and lead others to a Devil’s Hell and a lost eternity, simply to line your pockets with filthy lucre! Stop lying and tell the truth! Either get right with God or get out of the Ministry!

Iran's missiles could soon reach U.S. shores

While America focuses on its internal problems and its involvement in three wars and the world focuses on the global economy, Iran is progressing on three dangerous fronts: nuclear weapons, armed missiles and naval capability.

Despite four sets of U.N. sanctions and pressure by the U.S. and Europe, Iran has chosen not only to not halt its nuclear program but to expand it. Iran's leaders, dominated by fanatical mullahs, have announced that the installment of faster centrifuges has begun and that they will soon triple the production of enriched uranium to 20 percent at the Fardo nuclear facility deep in the mountain near the city of Qom. It is estimated that Iran will have enough highly enriched uranium for one nuclear bomb within two months and currently has enough low enriched uranium for three nuclear bombs.

Iran is also perfecting its missile delivery systems. Recently, the Revolutionary Guards held war games in which they launched several long-range ballistic missiles from missile silos. They also successfully tested two long-range ballistic missiles, capable of carrying a nuclear warhead, into the Indian Ocean. While the Guards' ballistic missiles have a range of 1,200 miles covering all U.S. bases in the Middle East and all of Israel, they now possess missiles from North Korea with a range of 2,000 miles, which covers most of Western Europe.

The Iranian Navy has also been busy expanding its operation on the orders of Iran's supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, who has emphasized the navy's strategic importance in protecting the Islamic republic's interests and to confront its enemies.

Last February, for the first time in three decades, two Iranian naval vessels passed through the Suez Canal en route to Syria. Iran's navy then successfully expanded its mission in the Indian Ocean and its submarines completed a two-month-long mission in the Red Sea.

In an alarming July 18 statement, Rear Adm. Habibollah Sayari said the Iranian navy plans on deploying warships in the Atlantic Ocean as part of a program to ply international waters, although he did not say where in the Atlantic the ships would be sent. Two days later, Rear Adm. Seyed Mahmoud Mousavi revealed, for the first time, that the Iranian navy has equipped a number of its logistic vessels and units with long-range surface-to-surface missiles. He stated, "Missile frigates and destroyers have been equipped with these missiles since a long time ago and the surface-to-surface missiles of the logistic vessels were successfully tested and assessed during the recent naval war games, dubbed as Joushan."

More ominous is the warning by the chief commander of the Guards, Mohammad Ali Jafari: "Currently, we are seeking to utilize our defensive capabilities in open seas. And it means that if the enemy plans to pose a threat to the Islamic Republic, Iran is capable of taking reciprocal action, and this strategy is currently on our agenda."

The Revolutionary Guards have successfully test-launched long-range ballistic missiles from a ship before, so the statement that they are arming some of the vessels with such missiles should worry the United States. An Iranian navy ship or any commercial vessel operated by the Iranians could easily launch a missile from outside the Gulf of Mexico and pretty much cover most of the U.S. Much more alarming is the fact that once in possession of a nuclear bomb, Iran could successfully carry out its promise to bring America to its knees by a successful electromagnetic pulse attack on America.

"One nightmare scenario posed by the Commission to Assess the Threat to the United States from Electromagnetic Pulse was a ship-launched EMP attack against the United States by Iran, as this would eliminate the need for Iran to develop an ICBM to deliver a nuclear warhead against the U.S., and could be executed clandestinely, taking the U.S. by surprise. Since an EMP attack entails detonating a nuclear weapon at high-altitude, in space, it leaves no bomb debris for forensic analysis, no fingerprints identifying the attacker. We might never figure out who hit us, assuming the nation survives and recovers from an EMP attack," warns Dr. Peter Vincent Pry, president of EMPact America, who served on the congressional EMP commission.

The West has tried for years to negotiate with the radicals ruling Iran with the hope that they would halt their nuclear weapons program. However, the Islamic regime has turned down every incentive offered and its officials have openly stated that there is nothing the West can do to stop their nuclear program.

With the world's economy on the line and terrorism a major concern, global stability and security should be the top priority for world leaders. For that reason alone, the Iranian leaders who support worldwide terrorism, not to mention the many Iranian officials wanted by Interpol, should not be allowed to have nuclear weapons.

A nuclear-armed Iran will change our world with horrific consequences.

Does NASA Data Show Global Warming Lost in Space?

The predicted temperature changes (darker red indicating greater change) due to global warming, based on data that scientists, policymakers and the public are now questioning.

Has a central tenant of global warming just collapsed?

Climate change forecasts have for years predicted that carbon dioxide would trap heat on Earth, and increases in the gas would lead to a planetwide rise in temperatures, with devastating consequences for the environment.

But long-term data from NASA satellites seems to contradict the predictions dramatically, according to a new study.

“There is a huge discrepancy between the data and the forecasts that is especially big over the oceans,” said Dr. Roy Spencer, a research scientist at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and U.S. science team leader for the Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer -- basically a big thermometer flying on NASA’s Aqua satellite.

James Taylor, a senior fellow for environment policy at conservative think-tank The Heartland Institute, wrote at Forbes that the meaning of the new research is clear -- and it compromises what he called a "central premise of alarmist global warming theory."

"Real-world measurements … show far less heat is being trapped in the Earth's atmosphere than the alarmist computer models predict, and far more heat is escaping into space than the alarmist computer models predict," Taylor wrote.

But with any story on the science of climate change, scientific truths are never so simple.

Andrew Dessler, a professor of atmospheric sciences at Texas A&M University, called Spencer a "controversial figure" within the climate research community. He argued that Spencer's paper is neither new nor correct.

"He's taken an incorrect model, he's tweaked it to match observations, but the conclusions you get from that are not correct," Dessler told LiveScience.com.

Many scientists believe that as the planet warms, more water vapor moves into the atmosphere. This water vapor exists as clouds, which trap more heat, creating a vicious loop.

Spencer sees it differently. He thinks that the whole cycle starts with the clouds. In other words, random increases in cloud cover cause climate warming. The cloud changes are caused by "chaos in the climate system," Spencer told LiveScience.

The truth of climate change remains murky, as always -- something even Spencer notes in his new paper.

"Atmospheric feedback diagnosis of the climate system remains an unsolved problem," he noted.

Recently, Kenney pointed that out while at a meeting in Toronto.  Members of Canada's Pakistani community called on him to make Punjabi one of Canada's official languages.  It makes me angry that such an idea would enter the minds of my fellow and former countrymen, let alone express them to a Minister of the Crown. A few months ago, I was dismayed to learn that Erik Millett, the principal of Belleisle School in Springfield, N.B., limited playing our national Anthem because the families of a couple of his students objected to it. As a social scientist, I oppose this kind of political correctness, lack of assimilation of new immigrants to mainstream Canada, hyphenated-Canadian identity, and the lack of patriotism in our great nation. Increasingly, Canadians feel restricted in doing things the Canadian way lest we offend minorities.  We cannot even say Merry Christmas without fear of causing offence.  It is amazing that 77 per cent of the Canadian majority are scared of offending 23 per cent of minorities.  We have become so timid that the majority cannot assert its own freedom of expression.  We cannot publicly question certain foreign social customs, traditions and values that do not fit into the Canadian ethos of equality.  Rather than encouraging new immigrants to adjust to Canada, we tolerate peculiar ways of doing things. We do not remind them that they are in Canada, not in their original homelands. In a multicultural society, it is the responsibility of minorities to adjust to the majority.  It does not mean that minorities have to totally amalgamate with the majority.   They can practice some of their cultural traditions within their homes -- their backstage behavior.  However, when outside of their homes, their front stage behavior should resemble mainstream Canadian behavior.  Whoever comes to Canada must learn the limits of our system. We do not kill our daughters or other female members of our families who refuse to wear hijab, niqab or burka which are not mandated by the Qur'an anyway.  We do not kill our daughters if they date the "wrong" men.  A 17-year-old Sikh girl should not have been killed in British Columbia by her father because she was caught dating a Caucasian man. We do not practice the dowry system in Canada, and do not kill our brides because they did not bring enough dowry.  Millions of female fetuses are aborted every year in India, and millions of female infants have been killed by their parents in India and China.  Thousands of brides in India are burned to death in their kitchens because they did not bring enough dowry into a marriage.  Some 30,000 Sikhs living abroad took the dowries but abandoned their brides in India in 2005. This is not accepted in Canada. In some countries, thousands of women are murdered every year for family or religious honour.  We should not hide behind political correctness and we should expose the cultural and religious background of these heinous crimes, especially if it happens in Canada. We should also expose those who bring their cultural baggage containing the social custom of female circumcision. I was shocked when I learned about two cases of this barbaric custom practiced in St. Catharines, Ont.  a few years ago. I have said it on radio and television, have written in my columns in The Calgary Herald, and I have written in my latest  book, Journey to Success, that I do not agree with the hyphenated  identity in Canada because it divides our loyalties. My argument is that people are not forced to come to Canada and they are not forced to stay here. Those who come here of their own volition and stay here must be truly patriotic Canadians or go back. I am a first-generation Canadian from Pakistan.  I left Pakistan 45 years ago.  I cannot ignore Pakistan, because it is the homeland of my folks, but my first loyalty should be and is to Canada.  I am, therefore, a proud Canadian, no longer a Pakistani-Canadian.  I am a Canadian Muslim, not a Muslim Canadian. I do not agree with those Canadians who engage in their fight against the system in their original countries on Canadian soil.  They should go back and fight from within.  For example, some of the Sikhs, Tamil Tigers, Armenians and others have disturbed the peace in Canada because of their problems back home.  Recently, a low-level leader of MQM, the Mafia of Pakistan, came to Canada as a refugee and started to organize public rallies to collect funds for their cause in Pakistan.  On July 18, 2007, the Federal Court of Canada ruled that MQM is a terrorist group led by London-based Altaf Hussain, their godfather.  As a member in the coalition government of Pakistan, this terrorist group is currently collaborating with the Taliban in Pakistan. That refugee was deported back to Pakistan. Similarly, I disagree with newcomers who bring their religious baggage here. For example, Muslims are less than two per cent of the Canadian population, yet in 2004 and 2005, a fraction of them, the fundamentalists, wanted to bring Sharia law to Canada. If they really want to live under Sharia, they should go to the prison-like countries where Sharia is practiced. I once supported multiculturalism in Canada because I believed it gave us a sense of pluralism and diversity.  However, I have observed and experienced that official multiculturalism has encouraged convolution of the values that make Canada the kind of place people want to immigrate to in the first place Here, we stand on guard for Canada, not for countries we came from.  Like it or not, take it or leave it, standing on guard only for Canada is our national maxim. Remember, O Canada is our national anthem which must not be disregarded by anybody, including the teacher in Springfield, N. B. THE CROWD HAS ALWAYS BEEN WRONG!

Below is one of the messages I preached in Arima, Trinidad during the February 1970 Black Power Uprising.

Rev. Patrick Ryan, General Superintendent of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the West Indies had invited me to Trinidad in the belief that we would plant a Church there. As we had done previously, I pledged to pay the TOTAL EXPENSES for my Team and the Crusade – hotels, meals, advertising in newspapers, on radio and TV and thousands of handbills!

The Solbrekken Evangelistic Association of Canada also offered to underwrite Rev. Patrick Ryan’s salary for ONE YEAR so that he could begin at once to build a congregation with all the new converts we expected to reach!

Suddenly, News Reports were everywhere that the Black Power Uprising had gathered a CROWD of 20,000 to 30,000 and were marching against Dr. Eric Williams and the Government. All Caucasians (Whiteys) were staying indoors and I was advised to do likewise. An Evangelist by the name of David Terril (whom I do not know) had been preaching in Trinidad, but had suddenly folded his tent and returned to the USA.

 I spoke to the co-operating Ministers thusly: “I did not come here to hide. I came to preach the Gospel so that a Church may be established in Arima for the glory of God. I am not afraid of the ‘Black Power’ and the Crusade will go forward as planned.”

Rev. A.W. Rowe, District Superintendent of the PAON in Newfoundland and Spirit filled Hutterite Pastor Terry Miller of Manitoba had accompanied me to Trinidad. Besides Rev. Patrick Ryan, we were joined by Rev. Turnel Nelson of Woodruff, Rev. Allister Alexander of Morvant, Rev. Marcus Roberts of Port of Spain, Rev. Timothy Brown, Assistant Supt. of the Pentecostal Assemblies and many other Ministers.

About five thousand people attended the premier service! Rev. Dennis White, President of the Pentecostal Bible College led the singing. I donned my white suit which had been tailored for me in India (1966) at the cost of $17.00. My comment was: “I want to be a good target should they have any plans to eliminate me.”

My message was titled: ‘POWER’~ Not Black Power, White Power, Brown Power, Yellow Power, Money Power, Student Power, but Holy Ghost Power! It was a tremendous meeting and no one moved a finger to oppose us as the POWER of GOD fell upon the crowd and the Revival swept the area and continued all week with great Signs, Wonders & Miracles. Many new souls were won for Christ’s Kingdom!

Rev. Patrick Ryan founded the Church and apparently that Church is presently one of Trinidad’s great churches. All glory to God!

    

The CROWD of Black Power leftist rebels WAS WRONG and people of Trinidad & Tobago rallied behind Prime Minister Eric Williams and Democracy won the day!

The Crowd has always been wrong and is it is still wrong! The Bible has always been right and is right today! The Word of God says: “Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil.” (Ex. 23: 2)

As we look back across the pages of history, we observe that in many instances when the time came to make the right decision in a mob atmosphere, the CROWD WAS WRONG!

From the crowd who called for the crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth to the crowds who called for the blood of the martyrs in Rome’s Coliseum in the time of Nero, to the multitudes who hailed Adolf Hitler as the Great Deliverer of Europe, until recent times when the Red Guards and their murderous Communist thugs rampaged through the streets of Mainland China in a purge of torturing, killing and brainwashing, an intelligent person would have to agree that the CROWD WAS WRONG!

The Bible warns: “Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil.” (Ex.23: 2) Better advice was never given to mankind!Just because others are doing certain things does not mean that you must follow in their footsteps. To the contrary, let the Word of God and your conscience lead you, since a healthy conscience will be permeated by the Holy Spirit to understand right from wrong!

DARE TO BE A DANIEL!

Here is how young minds have been perverted: In some countries, ungodly, atheistic university academics have used their position of authority to brainwash young people’s minds with subversive ideas that caused them to intimidate their leaders, disobey law and order and even kill those who disagreed with them!

 I WARN TODAY’S YOUTH: Do not become involved with the pot smoking, drug taking crowd of loose living leftists from the permissive and perverted crowd! Beware of so-called intellectuals who are filled with rage, hatred and pride. They will harm you. They will hurt you. They will do you wrong. Do not trust them!

 Stand up for Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible. Don’t let anyone deceive you. If they do not believe in God, our Saviour Jesus Christ and His Word, you cannot afford to believe them! Stand for truth and righteousness regardless of cost! Do not become fearful, allow yourself to be intimidated or bought off by the influences of unrighteousness which is overwhelmingly present in this wicked and sinful world!

Here is a beautiful Sunday school chorus that still thrills my soul: ‘Dare to be a Daniel, dare to stand alone, dare to have a purpose firm and dare to make it known.’ Take a look at Daniel’s triumph. A plan was devised by men who hated Daniel to destroy him. A decree was made that stated: “If anyone should ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days except to King Darius, he should be cast into the Den of Lions.” (Dan. 6: 7)

Besides being a ‘man of God’ Daniel was also the wisest and most efficient man in the Kingdom, nor was there any fault found in him. (Dan. 6: 4) On only one point could these wicked, hateful, heathen enemies of Daniel accuse him; the worship he gave to the true and living God of Heaven!

Three times a day Daniel would fall upon his face before his open window and give glory to the Eternal God. When those who envied and hated him had laid the trap to destroy him, found him worshipping the Lord they demanded that the new law be carried out. And Daniel was cast into the den of lions!

Here is the truth I wish to stress: Even though Daniel knew that the new law had been enacted, he did not deviate from his position as a true worshipper of Almighty God. Knowing that he would be cast into a den of lions did not deter him from his devotion to God and from his prayer life!

SOMEONE MAY BE THINKING:

WHY DIDN’T DANIEL PRAY SECRETLY?

As genuine Christians, we cannot hide our relationship to God from our fellowmen! Jesus demands public confession from His followers. He said: “Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of Me and of My words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when He cometh in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.” (Mark 8: 38)

“Whosoever shall confess Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father which is in Heaven. But whosoever will deny Me before men, him will I also deny before My Father which is in Heaven.” (Matt.10: 32, 33)

Here is Daniel’s response in the face of death: “Now when Daniel knew the writing was signed, he went into his house, and his window being opened in his chamber, towards Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.” (Dan.6:10)

My prayer is: “O God, let the uncompromising loyalty of Daniel in the face of great danger be an example to us today in our Christian walk!”

The CROWD in Babylon obeyed the King’s decree, but Daniel stood alone and God vindicated him. There is a saying: When in Rome do as the Romans do, but I say to you: Live as a true Christian everywhere including Rome; Never compromise your stand for Christ regardless what others do!

 The crowd will take the road of least resistance. The crowd will take the broad downward road. The crowd will always compromise the truth and look for some way to cut corners. The crowd hates the teachings of Jesus Christ and despises the straight and narrow way of the Gospel! The crowd is deceived by the allurement of the world, the flesh and the devil and has been made captive by the Wicked One “at his will.”  The crowd has been blinded by the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life! (2 Tim.2: 26; 1 John 2: 15-18; John 12: 40)

     

Some time ago a major advertising company used this slogan, ‘MILLIONS CAN’T BE WRONG’. The inference was that because millions of people purchased their product that was proof that their product was the best and that the crowd was right! Let me give you a Scriptures that disproves that theory: “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” (Prov.16: 25)

It may seem like the right thing to do to follow the crowds, fads and temperaments of society, but in order to be a strong and effective Christian in God’s Kingdom you must stand true for what you know is right.

  It may seem right to do what others are doing like lying, stealing, hating, cursing, watching pornography, smoking, drinking alcohol, abusing drugs, gambling, frequenting discotheques, indulging in adultery, fornication, incest, sexual perversion or committing graft and violence through rape, abortion or murder!

If you could, however, talk with the thousands who are dying of cancer in the lungs due to cigarette smoking or to the multitudes of drunkards on Skid Row or to the great numbers of victims of broken homes due to violence, criminal activity, drunkenness, gambling or drugs you would realize that it is not smart to follow the crowd!

Study the life of MOSES, the great ‘Jewish Law Giver’! The Bible says: “By faith Moses when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season.” (Heb.11: 24, 25) 

Moses could have become Egypt’s Pharaoh, but turned his back on earthly majesty, pomp and power to identify with the Hebrew slaves and the Lord God Jehovah. May the Lord Jesus Christ bless you, my friend!                      Ω

DON’T BE FOOLED: 

SATAN IS BUSY

      “Be sober, be vigilant: because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour; Whom resist steadfast in the faith…” (1 Peter 5: 8, 9)

     The Bible warns us of the treachery, duplicity, cunning and deceptive abilities of the Evil One to tempt, snare and kill the children of men who are created in the image and likeness of God!

      Every time that Satan looks upon a human being he rages with hatred, fear and a deep foreboding because of his failure to destroy the Jesus Christ (Incarnate Son of God) Who had come to this earth to defeat him and liberate us!

       He cringes in fear because he knows that he must bow before our Lord Jesus Christ and declare Him King of kings and Lord of lords to the glory of God the Father. And he trembles in agony as awaits his doom of being cast into the ‘lake of fire’ forever! (Rev.20: 10)

      He is haunted by the sound of Jesus’ blood falling to the earth on Calvary’s Hill and Jesus’ cry, “It is finished.” (Tetelestai: gr. It is finished. It is fulfilled. It is paid). Knowing that he will hear those words throughout eternity, and forever remember that it could have been different had he not committed High Treason against his Creator, Almighty God. (Is.14: 12-14; Ezek.28: 2-6)

      In his blind hatred, pride and rebellion he soldiers on in his unjust, evil and wicked cause against God and the jewel of His creation, Man!

      BILLY GRAHAM stated: “Man’s fiercest foe from the Garden of Eden right to the end of time is not cancer, communism, disease or death.  It is the devil.”

       Dr. Rebecca Brown wasn’t doing research for a book on witchcraft when she met Elaine, nor was she thinking about evil spirits, demons or the occult.

      Brown, a medical doctor, was shocked by Elaine’s story of fear, torment and bondage.  When therapy and drugs failed to help, Brown was amazed at her patient’s recovery by her acceptance of Jesus Christ.

      After Elaine’s dramatic healing and escape from Satanism, other tormented young people in similar straits began calling the MD’s office, seeking similar assistance.

       Dr. Brown’s recent book He Came to Set the Captives Free is the clinical report of many of her patients, who decided after deliverance, to publicize their traumatic encounters with the devil.

      After seven years of medical and psychological research, the medic was convinced that Satanism is a most destructive and evil power, a power that can be conquered only through faith in Christ.

       This should come as no surprise since Jesus said that Satan - the thief - had come “only to kill, steal and to destroy”. (John 10:10) 

That Satan is a liar is no secret!  That he is the “father of lies” is well known.  Jesus stated: “He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him.  When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it”. (John 8:44)

JESUS CALLED THE DEVIL BY THREE NAMES!

1)     Satan: ‘sah-tahn’- (heb.) for ‘the hater, opponent, enemy, adversary: one who resists, obstructs, hinders that which is good’.  When the form ‘ha-satan’ (the adversary) occurs, the translation is usually (Satan), not his name, but his accurate description: hateful enemy!  Strong’s #7854

2)     Devil:  (gr.) for liar, false accuser, traducer!

3)     Beelzebub:  (gr.) for god of flies, god of filth!

Satan is the enemy of God and man.  The devil is a liar extraordinaire.  He is the filthiest of the filthy: more corrupt and perverted than any abominable sex maniac, sadist, suicide bomber or serial killer!

You may ask, “How can you be so sure that Satan is to blame for all the bad things that are happening in our world”!  PLAIN and SIMPLE:

His hands drip with the blood of millions of souls through his emissaries who enslave, rape, mutilate, murder and terrorize!  He works through power-hungry, hate-filled political and religious leaders who brainwash others into following them on the same path of destruction; hijacking airplanes, taking hostages, bombing public buildings, hospitals, schools, TV stations, buses, trains and bridges, injuring and killing innocent people! 

Satan is the architect of fear, torment, enslavement and war!  He pits man against man and causes divisions in families, communities, nations and churches; resulting in major upheavals, which inflict long term spiritual, physical and psychological scars on all concerned – especially children – bringing untold misery to society.

You must ask yourself: “Who is the originator of sin?”  The answer is: “Satan!”  Again, “Who is responsible for sickness, disease and death?”  The answer again is “Satan, the destroyer”!

      Dr. John Wesley White warns:  “The devil.  We all wish he’d go away.  But he’s around a lot more than he was yesterday, and he’s going to be more visible and vocal tomorrow than he is today.  Like a vast, vicious virus that won’t stop, his iniquitous vices are on every hand.  To be ignorant of his tactics is to lay ourselves open to chronic peril”.

SATAN’S SLAVES

     In his book, The Second Coming:  Satanism in America, Arthur Lyons states “that from a scientific or secular viewpoint, the 1970’s revival of devil worship, witchcraft, sorcery and occultism in America was totally unexpected.  Most intellectuals had expected belief in the devil to disappear within a few years”.

        The Bible states that he is Abaddan the destroyer, and St. Paul warns that he is such a deceiver that he will “appear as an angel of light”. (2 Cor. 11: 14)

       Dabbling in the occult can open the door to possession and a controlled life, which turns people into Satan’s slaves, observes Brown.

       Elaine’s story is one of sadistic and sexual bondage to evil spirits and a ritualistic marriage to the devil.

       Other experts are also sounding the alarm, warning of the dramatic rise in Satan worship in the US and the psychological damage it is doing to unsuspecting youngsters.  As well as the terrible trauma it causes to their families, friends and communities!

       Earlier, Satanism was dismissed as a harmless fad that would soon die out, but now sociologists and clergymen are encountering new, scary and very real problems linked to devil worship.

       Police have been checking out reports that covens of young people are gathering in wooded areas near Los Angeles, to worship the devil.  Sacrificial satanic rituals like killing cats and dogs have been confirmed and officials suspect humans have been sacrificed!

SERIOUS PROBLEM

      So serious is the problem, churches in the area sponsored a seminar several years ago on Satanism and neo-paganism just to learn more on the subject.

       The seminar featured a Christian response to evil, exorcism and satanic deception. “Satanism is alive and well, and the sad thing is that it is growing among teenagers”, states Roger Burt, a Christian authority.

       Dr. Billy Graham declares:  “A generation ago, when I began as an evangelist, people generally, and intellectuals in particular thought of the devil as an anachronistic symbol, a handy expression of profanity, or as a superstition believed in chiefly by religious eccentrics.  Today, the devil is getting maximum exposure, precisely as the Bible predicted would happen prior to Christ’s return.”

       According to prophecy, Satan will make a momentous comeback just before Jesus returns.

       He will orchestrate the world’s greatest confrontation, the ‘Battle of Armageddon’.  In the end Satan loses totally.  Only one angel will be needed to cast him into the bottomless pit forever!

       For a short while he will bask in the limelight as a part of a troika - the unholy trinity - together with the antichrist and the false prophet. Then, he will be cast into the ‘Lake of Fire’ forever. Hallelujah!

      St James gives us some very good counsel: “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you.

      “Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord and He will lift you up.” (James 4: 7, 8, 10)
