A
GREAT DOOR AND

“For
a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many
adversaries.” (1
Cor. 16: 9)
In
the Gospel work there are always many adversaries because the Devil
opposes the work of God. And when there are open doors in an area,
Satan is more aggressive than ever in persecuting the Lord's
servants.
MARTIN
LUTHER stated: “The
greatest trial is not to have a trial.” History
proves that the church grows more rapidly when it is under the fire
of persecution than when it is not! It is easier to fall asleep
spiritually and stop praying and witnessing when everything is going
well and there is no opposition!
A.G.WARD
said: “The
age in which the church was most completely separated from the world
was the age in which Christianity was most victorious in the world.”

In January, 1942 (during WW11) REV. D.N. BUNTAIN called the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada to Prayer and Fasting. The second Wednesday of each month was set aside as a time of fasting and waiting upon God. In his publication, Dr. Charles S. Price encouraged the Assemblies of God in the USA to do the same!
Everywhere
St. Paul travelled to preach the Gospel, he met with serious
persecution. Often the persecution began after God had stretched
forth His hand to heal the sick and a spiritual revival had begun.
At
Philippi, St. Paul cast out a demon from a fortune teller who could
then no longer perform her evil work, which in turn angered her
masters. The makers of pagan artifacts were incensed at the loss of
their income because the Gospel had changed people's lives. The
results of their outcry caused Paul and Silas to be beaten and thrown
into a prison.
A
MIRACLE
caused them to be thrown into prison and a MIRACLE
brought them out. The
miracle of the earthquake that opened all the doors gave Paul and
Silas the opportunity to win the Jailer and his family to Christ,
which in turn undoubtedly strengthened the Church greatly!
PERSECUTION
WAS HIS COMPANION!
“And
when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into
prison, charging the jailer to keep them safely: Who, having received
such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet
fast in the stocks.
“And
at midnight Paul and Silas PRAYED,
and sang PRAISES
unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a
great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken:
and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone's bands were
loosed.” (Acts
16: 23-26)
God's
MIRACLE
rescued Paul and Silas and brought the Philippian jailer and his
family to Christ: “And
he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes;
and was baptized, he and all his, straightway. And when he had
brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced,
believing in God with all his house.”
(Acts 16: 33-34)
A
CHOSEN VESSEL OF THE LORD!
SAUL
of TARSUS knew beforehand what was coming. Our Lord had made it clear
from the very beginning, that he would have to suffer severely as His
hand-picked Ambassador to the Gentile world. Here was His message to
Ananias:
“But
the Lord said unto him, Go thy way, for he is a Chosen Vessel unto Me
to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and before the children
Israel: For I will show him how great things he must SUFFER
for My name's sake.”
(Acts 9:15, 16)
Years
later SAUL, who had changed his name to Paul wrote: “Are
they the minister of Christ? (I
speak as a fool)
I am more: in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in
prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. Of the Jews received I forty
stripes save one.
“Thrice
was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered
shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; in journeyings
often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine
own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in
perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among
false brethren:
“In
weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst,
in fastings often, in cold and nakedness. Besides those things that
are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the
churches.
“In
Damascus the Governor under Aretas the king that kept the city of the
Damascenes with a garrison, desirous to apprehend me: And through a
window in a basket was I let down by the wall, and escaped his
hands.”
(Acts
11: 23-28; 32,33)
ST.
PAUL'S GREAT DISTRESS!
St.
Paul suffered more than most men during many years of Christian
Ministry, as he spread the Gospel far and wide and founded the Church
of Jesus Christ across the Gentile world, as St. Peter and the other
apostles did among the Jews!
He
wrote: “For
we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves
your servants for Jesus sake. But we have this treasure in earthen
vessels, that the excellency of the POWER
may be of God, and not of us.
“We
are troubled on every side, yet not distressed: we are perplexed, but
not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not
destroyed: Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord
Jesus, the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.”
(2
Cor.
4:
5-11)
In
Troas, God had OPENED
the
door for St. Paul to preach the Gospel but because Titus had not
arrived, he left the revival. He regretted it deeply and coupled his
forgiveness
with the man who had sinned grievously, whom he said should also be
forgiven.
“Lest
Satan should get an advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his
devices. Futhermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ's Gospel,
and a DOOR
was opened unto me of the Lord. I had no rest in my spirit, because I
found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from
thence into Macedonia.
“Now
thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to TRIUMPH in Christ, and
maketh manifest the savour of His knowledge by us in every place.”
(2 Cor.2: 11-14)
To
St. Paul, this was certainly a grievous mistake. He had gone to Troas
to preach. God
had opened the door among the heathen, but he was so stressed out and worried about
Titus that he left the revival.
He felt that he also needed God's grace and mercy, which he received.
ANOTHER SPIRIT, ANOTHER GOSPEL!
ANOTHER SPIRIT, ANOTHER GOSPEL!
The
great 'Man
of God'
did not tolerate false brethren who sought to minimize Jesus Christ
and replace Him with their old theology. He wrote of it as: “another
spirit; another gospel or
another
Jesus”.
“But
I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his
subtility, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that
is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another
Jesus,
whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another
spirit,
which ye have not received, or another
gospel,
which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.”
(2
Cor.11: 3,4)
Again,
St. Paul stated: “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Him
that called you into the grace of Christ unto another
gospel: which is not another, but there be some that trouble you, and
would pervert the gospel of Christ.
“But
though we, or an angel from Heaven, preach any other gospel unto you
than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we
said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel
unto you than ye have received, let him be accused.” (Gal.
1:6-9)
The
Lord's Chosen Vessel wrote: “If
any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema
Maranatha.” (1
Cor. 16:22). What does all this mean?
St.
Paul who had been given the Gospel from Jesus Christ personally by
revelation and by being carried into Heaven and seeing things that he
was not allowed to tell, was captivated by the Gospel of Jesus Christ
and the Church, which is His Body!
He
KNEW that there is only One Way to God and Heaven and that is through
Jesus Christ alone! He was not preaching any short-cuts to God.
Everyone must come the same way, through the Cross and by the Blood
of God's Paschal Lamb!
He
used two Aramaic
words, Anathema
and Maranatha;
one meaning censure,
suspended or accursed and
the second, our
Lord comes.
He was warning that when the Lord Jesus returns it will be a great
and wonderful day for His Church, but a dreadful day of censure for
those who do not know and love the Lord!
The
Righteous will receive eternal blessedness but the others an eternal
censure and curse! Concerning
the Baptism
of the Holy Spirit,
St. Paul instructs the Church: “Wherefore I give you to understand,
that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed:
and that no man can say that Jesus Christ is Lord, but by the Holy
Ghost.” (1
Cor.12: 3)
Now
you know why adherents to the Cults and pagan religions will miss
Heaven and populate Hell. The Muslim
religious-political belief
ridicules Jesus Christ as the Son of God, saying that is impossible
for God to have a Son! The Jesus they preach is not 'the
Jesus of the Bible',
but an impostor who will force all Christians to accept Islam or be
killed!
CHRIST
IS NOT AN EVOLVING IDEA!
The

story of Christian Unity in Alberta carried this excerpt:
Edmonton’s
Dr. Max Solbrekken is more blunt.
“We
can’t sit at the same table with people who presume to change the
word of God — call God the Father ‘she,’ license homosexual
acts, change Christ’s own words on marriage, or deny that He rose
from the dead. That’s blasphemy. The only truth that unites
Christians is the person of Jesus, and He is not negotiable. I’m
all for Christians joining together, but Christ is the living Word,
not an ‘evolving idea,’ and He doesn’t change with the times.”
There
is however a path to God and Heaven, and that is the way of
REPENTANCE
and FAITH
toward our Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Bible says: “Testifying both
to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance to God and faith
toward our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Acts 20:21).
There
can be no forgiveness without repentance toward God, which is sorrow
for sin and rebellion against God. And faith in the finished work of
Jesus Christ on the cross for us!
Jesus
warned: “Enter
ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the way, that leadeth to
destruction, and many there be which go in thereat. Because strait is
the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few
there be that find it.”
(Matt.7:13, 14)
The
Holy Bible says: “For
this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will
have all men to be SAVED,
and to come unto the knowledge of the TRUTH.
For there is ONE
God, and ONE
Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself
a RANSOM
for all, to be testified in due time.” (1
Tim. 2: 3-6)
JESUS
invites occultists, cultists, pagans and all lost souls to come to
Him for forgiveness and cleansing through His precious blood and
total healing from all the powers of the Evil One. His love reaches
out to everyone!
He
stated:
“Come unto Me all ye who labour and are heavy laden and I will give
you rest.” (Matt.11:
28); “Behold,
I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the
door, I will come in to Him, and will sup with him and he with Me.”
(Rev.3: 20).
ENDURING
UNTO THE END!
Jesus
warned about coming tribulation: “And many false prophets shall
arise and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the
love of many shall wax cold.
“But
he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this
gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world as a witness
unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” (Matt.24:
11-14)
St.
Paul stated: “For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to
glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea,
woe is me, if I preach not the gospel.
For
if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my
will, a dispensation of the gospel has been committed uto me.
“What
is my reward then? Verily that when I preach the gospel, I may make
the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the
gospel. For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself a
servant, unto all, that I might gain the more.” (1 Cor.9: 16-19)
“For
what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea,
doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the
knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for Whom I have suffered the loss
of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ.”
(Phil.3: 7-10)
My
good friend, BOB ROSIN, used to say, “It's
one thing to start. It's another thing to finish.” And
that is the truth!
Behind
us lies thousands of years of history confirming the power of
Almighty God in Creation, the lives and messages of Israel's
prophets, the Incarnation and life of Jesus Christ and His message to
us, the Apostles of our Lord and the great revivals that were
wrought by the Holy Spirit in the Early Church and for the past
nearly 2,000 years,
And
ahead of us awaits the unknown with its opportunities to fulfill our
calling in the further spread of the Gospel. Obeying God's Word, we
rely on His promise to never leave us nor forsake us as we carry on
the work of those who have laid down their lives for the cause of the
gospel.
Acknowledging
our own weakness we throw ourselves upon His strength and great
mercy, and holding on to His Almighty Hand we stretch ourselves to do
the impossible through His power, knowing that in the end we win!
“Now
the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus,
that great shepherd of the sheep through the Blood of the Everlasting
Covenant make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working
in you that which is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus
Christ, in Whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.” (Heb.13: 20,21)
And
now may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God the
Father and the fellowship and communion Holy Spirit be and abide with
us all until Jesus comes. May He strengthen, bless, forgive, heal,
protect and prosper us all in His holy name! Amen.

The Word of God states: "I
will also gather ALL
nations, and
will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will (judge) plead
with them there for My
people
and for My heritage Israel,
whom they have scattered among
the nations, and parted
My land." (Joel
3: 2)
Almighty
God declares that a pay day is coming for those nations which have
systematically scattered
His people and
have abused His heritage, His Chosen people Israel!
Not
only have many nations over the last 2,000 years mistreated the Jews
in a terrible way through persecution
and genocide,
but now that the Israelis are back in their own land a number of world leaders are demanding their 3,000 year old Capital
City of Jerusalem be divided.
God's
Word states that He will PLEAD with them, put them on TRIAL and bring
JUDGMENT against them! We all witnessed how God dealt with Adolf
Hitler and Germany. Now, Chancellor Merkel is again setting up Germany
for judgment, by bringing in hundreds of thousands of Syrian
refugees without any secure screening of potential terrorists.
France
and other countries are pushing for Jerusalem to be divided. These
countries will surely fall into the trap of joining with Russia and
the Muslim Hordes when they march against Israel in
the Gog and Magog War as prophesied in Ezekiel 38 & 39.
WHY
ISRAEL IS SO SPECIAL!
1.
BECAUSE THEIR GOD IS SPECIAL:
"For
the Lord thy God is a merciful God: He will not forsake thee,
neither destroy thee, nor forget the COVENANT of thy fathers which He
sware unto them.
"Know
thou therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that
the Lord He is God in Heaven above, and upon the earth beneath:
there is NONE else." (Deut. 4: 31, 39)
"The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
"Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the House of the Lord for ever." (Ps. 23)
"The Lord is my Light and my Salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid." (Ps. 27: 1)
1.
God is the Creator:
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made." (John 1: 1-3)
"By the Word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth." (Ps.33: 6); "The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath He established the heavens." (Prov.3: 19)
"The burden of the Word of the Lord for Israel, saith the Lord, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him." (Zech.12: 1)
"For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since
God created man upon the earth, and ask them from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it." (verse 32)

No Other God but Jehovah:
"Unto
thee it was showed, that thou mightest know that the Lord He is
God; there is NONE else
beside Him. Know ye therefore this day, and consider it in thine
heart, that the Lord He is God in heaven above and upon the
earth beneath: there
is none else." (Deut. 4: 35,39)
"All nations before Him are as nothing, and they are accounted unto Him as Nothing, and vanity. To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto Him? have ye not heard? Hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth? It is He that sitteth upon the CIRCLE of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in." (Isaiah 40: 12, 17, 18,21,22)

The Hebrews had God near to them:
"For
what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto
them, as the Lord our God is in all things that we call upon
Him for? And
what nation is there so Great that
hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set
before you this day?
"Only
take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou
forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart
from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and
the sons' sons." (Deut. 4: 7-9)

Almighty God Defined Himself in the Shemah:
"Hear,
O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord." (Deut.
6: 4). Hebrew
scholars have made this statement: "The Shemah (Echmah): Schmah Yisrael, Adonai, eloheimu, Adonai
echmah, should
be translated as follows: Hear
O Israel, The Lord is our God, the Lord alone."
In
a world of many religions the worship of many gods, Jehovah stood alone.
He alone is God! 'The
Lord is our God, the Lord alone' places
the emphasis on the fact that the Israelis worshipped only Jehovah,
Lord God Almighty!
There
is no other God! Zeus,
Buddha, Allah, Shiva, Vishnu, Odin, Thor
and Gaia
do
not belong in the same arena with the Lord God of the Hebrews.
As
believers in Jesus Christ, we do not accept, honour or worship pagan
entities, man-made gods, goddesses, counterfeit Christs and
demonically inspired deities. We glorify, praise and worship Almighty Lord God and His glorified Son Jesus Christ and the blessed Holy Spirit! Amen.
5.
God is our Redeemer:
"Remember
the former things of old: for I am God and there is none else: I am
God, and there is none else: I am God and there is none like Me. As
for our Redeemer, the Lord of Hosts is His name the Holy One of
Israel.
"I
have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went
forth out of My mouth, and I showed them; I did them suddenly, and
they came to pass.
"Hearken
unto Me, O Jacob and Israel, My called; I am He; I am the first. I am
also the last. Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth,
and My right hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto unto
them, they stand up together.
"Come
ye near unto Me, hear ye this: I have not spoken in secret from the
beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord
God and His Spirit hath sent Me.
"Thus saith the Lord thy Redeemer,
the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God, which teacheth thee to
profit, which leadeth thee by the way thou shouldest go."
(Is.46: 9,10; 47: 4; 48:3, 12, 13, 15-17)
11.
BECAUSE GOD SPOKE TO THEM:
"For
ask now of the days that are past which were before thee, since
the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask them from
the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been
any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?
"Unto
you it was shown, that thou mightest know that the Lord He is God;
there is none else beside Him. Out of Heaven He made thee to hear His
voice, that He might instruct thee: and upon earth He showed thee His
great fire; and thou heardest His Words out of the midst of the
fire." (Duet.4:
32-36)

BECAUSE GOD HAD CHOSEN THEM:
"Did
ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the
fire, as thou hast heard, and live? Or
hath God assayed to go and take Him a nation from the midst of
another nation, by temptations, by signs and by wonders, and by war,
and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great
terrors, according to all that the Lord your God did for you in Egypt
before your eyes. (Duet.
4: 34)

GOD'S IRON-CLAD GUARANTEE TO ISRAEL:
"My
mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and My COVENANT shall stand
fast with him. His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his
throne as the days of heaven. If his children forsake My law and walk
not in My judgments;
"If
they break My statutes and keep not My commandments; Then will I
visit their transgression with the rod and their iniquities with
stripes. Nevertheless My loving kindness will I not utterly take from
him, nor suffer My faithfulness to fail.
"My
COVENANT will I not break nor alter the thing that is gone out of My
lips. Once have I sworn by My holiness that I will not lie unto
David. His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun
before Me. It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a
faithful witness in heaven." (Ps. 89: 28-37)
"But
this shall be the COVENANT that I shall make with the House of Israel;
After those days saith the Lord, I will put My law in their inward
parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they
shall be My people.
"Thus
saith the Lord which giveth the sun for a light by day and the
ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which
divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The Lord of Hosts is
His name. If those ordinances depart from before Me, saith the Lord,
then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before
Me forever.
"Thus
saith the Lord; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations
of the earth be searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the
seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the Lord."
(Jer. 32:33, 35-37)
"And
the Word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah saying, Thus saith the Lord; If
ye can break My Covenant of the Day and My Covenant of the Night, and
that there should not be Day and Night, and that there should NOT be
Day and Night in their season; Then may also My Covenant be
Broken with David My servant, that he should not have a son to reign
upon his throne...
"As
the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the
sea measured, so will I multiply the seed of David My servant... Thus saith the Lord; If My
Covenant be not with Day and Night, and if I have not appointed the
ordinances of heaven and earth; Then will I cast away the seed of
Jacob (Israel),
and David My servant.." (Jer.33: 19-22, 25, 26)
JERUSALEM:
CITY OF GOD
There
are nearly 800 references in the Bible to Jerusalem. Jesus of
Nazareth called Jerusalem, the city of the Great King referring to
Himself, (Matt. 5:35)
Our
Lord was quoting the prophet David: "Great is the Lord, and
greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of His
holiness. Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is
Mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the Great King."
(Ps. 48: 1-14)
Three
thousand years ago, King David related the words of God by the Holy
Spirit: "For
the Lord hath chosen Zion; He hath desired it for His habitation.
This is My rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired
it." (Ps.
13: 13, 14)
"His foundation is in the holy mountains. The Lord loveth the gates of
Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob (Israel). Glorious
things are spoken of thee, O City of God, Selah." (Ps. 87:
1-3).
The
word selah means to pause and think of that. May the EVIL
brain-washed Terrorist hordes of rapists and killers stop to think of
that, if they are even capable of thinking straight!
It
is almost laughable, if it were not so serious, that Israel's Arab neighbours would try to lay claim to the City of Yahweh, the God of Israel and
the Creator of the worlds!
NATION
OF ISRAEL:
GOD'S LAND
1.
God gave them the land:
"In
the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy
seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great
river, the river Euphrates." (Gen. 15: 18)
2.
The Land cannot be sold:
"The
land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is Mine; for ye are
strangers and sojourners with Me." (Lev. 25: 23)
3.
He will punish severely those who divide it:
"I
will gather all nations, and will bring them down into the Valley of
Jehosaphat, and will plead (judge) with

Before John Owen Brennan became Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) on March 8, 2013, he had spent 25 years with the CIA in a succession of positions, including as a Near East and South Asia analyst, station chief in Saudi Arabia, chief of staff to CIA director George Tenet, and director of the National Counterterrorism Center. After leaving government service in 2005, Brennan was CEO of The Analysis Corporation, a securityconsulting business. He returned to government service with the Obama administration as Homeland Security Advisor on January 20, 2009.Peter Baker and Mark Mazzetti write for The New York Times that “in the 67 years since the C.I.A. was founded, few presidents have had as close a bond with their intelligence chiefs as Mr. Obama has forged with Mr. Brennan.
