Congratulations to Gospel Singer Harry Rusk, who was featured recently on a National Radio Station. I had the privilege of leading one of Canada's outstanding Indians to Jesus Christ at the Sandy Beach Bible Camp in 1971. When Harry Rusk witnessed the divine healing miracle that Jesus Christ administered to his son, he received him as Saviour and Lord. When Harry received the yearly $5.00 Treaty money awarded to each Canadian Indian by the Federal Government, he would jokingly say, "Brother Max, now I can take you out for lunch. My annual Treaty money has arrived." That reminds me of the yearly increase of $6.60 each Canadian Senior will begin receiving soon. Broke This article is in reference to the $0.55 mth ($6.60 annual ) increase to Canada 's Old Age Supplement. Has everyone decided how they will spend their 55 cent a month increase in our OAS due at the end of January 2017? It is Sad but true!!! We read all the jokes and forward the good ones, but I just wonder who will pass this one on. Be happy to be of the 1%. Someone please tell me what is wrong with all the people that run this country!!! Our government leaders tell us "We're "broke" and can't help our own Seniors, Veterans, Orphans, Homeless, Etc.,??? In the last few years we have provided direct cash aid to: Hamas - 351 M, Pakistan - 2 B, Libya 1.45 B, Egypt - 397 M, Mexico - 622 M, Russia - 380 M, Haiti - 1.4 B, Jordan- 463M, Kenya- 816 M, Sudan- 870 M, Nigeria- 456 M, Uganda- 451 M, Congo - 359 M, Ethiopia - 981 M, South Africa - 566 M, Senegal - 698 M, Mozambique - 404 M, Zambia - 331 M, Kazakhstan - 304 M, Iraq - 1.08 B, Tanzania - 554 M. We spend literally Billions on them ---- and they still hate us! In total Canada spends over 5 Billion a year on direct cash support of foreign aid, and 20 Billion on Immigration & Refugee programs. Our retired seniors are living on a 'fixed income'. Do they get any breaks while our government and religious organizations pour hundreds of billions and tons of food to foreign countries! We have hundreds of adoptable children who are shoved aside to make room for the adoption of foreign orphans. AUSTRALIA , UK , THE USA & CANADA - countries where we have homeless persons, children going to bed hungry, elderly going without needed medication and mentally ill without treatment... Etc. YET- We still allow illegals & other free loaders on our shores, while we are lining up with food, clothes, bedding, doctors and medical supplies for them. Imagine if the "GOVERNMENT" gave 'US' the same support they give to other countries. Sad isn't it? 99% of people won't forward this. I'm one of the 1%... I Just Did.
