A Man of God: Rev. Max Solbrekken was coming to Lewisporte and A.W. Rowe said, Bert, the man that is preaching tonight is a man of God." - Bert Twyne

BROTHER SOLBREKKEN,
I am from Lewisporte, Newfoundland.  In 1967 you were in our town for a crusade.  I was a student at the Pentecostal school where you held your meetings.  Pastor AW Rowe asked some of us students to help seat out the auditorium for the night service.

I was placing chairs on the stage when Pastor Rowe said "Bert, the man that is preaching tonight is a man of God." I felt so much conviction that I ran to a back room and cried like a baby.  I went to your service that night and ran from the service under conviction. You preached on Calvary.

Just a few months following at the age of seventeen, After AW Rowe preached, I gave my heart to Jesus for the first time.  I grew up in a Christian family but was never saved until then.  I am now 63 and Jesus is still real to me.

Thanks for coming to our town and our school.
