All Glory & Praise the Lord Jesus Christ

Says Lavina Irene Olsen, Penticton B.C.
It was a night I will never forget, July 28, 2010. My good friend Sharon Sauter had told me the good news that she and her son David Fraser had invited Pastor Max Solbrekken to travel from Saskatoon for three days of Revival Meetings in Penticton.
She said that Pastor Max was being picked up at the Kelowna Airport by his personal friend Moe Hostland, who would drive him to Penticton for the Monday meeting at the Sandman Inn.
When I heard Moe Hostland testify about the outstanding miracles he had witnessed under Pastor Max Solbrekken’s Ministry in Sechelt years earlier, I was excited. And of course, Sharon and David had told of the great crusades Pastor Max had conducted under the Big Blue tent in Kelowna in the 1970s.
When Pastor Max opened the Bible and began to preach, tears of repentance and joy flooded my eyes and I witnessed the cleansing of Jesus’ precious blood upon my soul. And when he invited sinners to repent and receive Jesus Christ as personal Saviour, I quickly went forward and was born again. Hallelujah!
Can anyone fully understand it or explain it? All I know is, it happened to me! When Pastor Max began to pray for the sick, I told him my sad story – that for 18 long years I had suffered unbearable pain from fibromyalgia and arthritis. And that for all those years I had lived on pain killers with a daily dose of six ibuprofen (600 mg) pills.
And that I had pains in my legs from grape-like varicose veins which I had suffered with for 20 years and was in consultation with my doctor about having laser surgery!
When Pastor Max laid his hands on my head and prayed the prayer of faith in Jesus’ name on my behalf, Heaven came down and my pains were all gone. I felt like a new woman and that exactly what had happened, I had become a new creature in Christ Jesus and my sickness and pains were gone!
When I arose from my bed in the morning, the varicose veins were gone. Since July 28, 2010 until now I no longer have any pain. Praise the name of Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God! Amen.

Jesus took my sins away and healed my scoliosis

Says Anna Davis, British Columbia
For about 30 years I suffered terribly with a severe curvature of the spine called scoliosis. Together with that I developed fibromyalgia and arthritis. For more than four years I used a scooter to get around. About eight years ago, I was able to put the scooter aside and manage with the aid of pain killers. For years I lived on pills upwards to eight (600 mg) ibuprofens daily.
On July 28, 2010, my good friend Irene Olsen told me about a special event at the Sandman Inn. Pastor Max Solbrekken had accepted an invitation to come to Penticton for a short crusade. Irene was joyfully saying, “My pains are all gone and my varicose veins are not there anymore. You must come with me tonight and hear this man of God.”
I knew that Irene had suffered for many years with fibro myalgia and arthritis and she also had been speaking to her doctor about laser surgery on her horrible grape-like varicose veins! I could hardly believe my eyes. It was true! Her legs were as smooth as a child’s. I decided to go with her!
WHEN PASTOR MAX SPOKE, I WEPT
When Pastor Max Solbrekken began to speak I could feel God in that place and when he talked about Jesus Christ’s suffering and death on the cross for sinners, I knew I had to answer the altar call. After leading us in the sinner’s prayer for forgiveness, Pastor Max began to pray for the sick. When he prayed for me in Jesus’ name, I felt the pains leaving me.
The last night of the meeting, he prayed for my spine and immediately it straightened out before everyone’s eyes. The scoliosis is gone and the pain from the fibromyalgia is greatly reduced and I am very happy for my new life in Jesus Christ who has saved me and healed me! Hallelujah!

Pray for Christians in Pakistan

Dear Pastor Max,

Christmas and New year Greetings !
i hope that you are fine and working for the Glory of Christ .brother we wanted to share our working with you , kindly read the following . We would request you that please keep us in your prayers as Christians are going through the hard time .
Many Blessings

World Vision in Progress is a Social organization working for the Oppressed and deprives communities /Religious classes of Pakistan the Minorities in Pakistan are wedged up in grave situation with gory incidents occurring. A wild wave of sectarianism has overwhelmed the society, which has resulted in unethical sentiments of religious prejudices. The armed religious extremists are playing havoc in the society. A situation of religious intolerance has speared suffocation in our lives; the doors of dialogues are being closed. Religious fundamentalism has grown beyond proportions. Muslims clerics are demanding complete imposition of Islamic Sharia in Pakistan, making it applicable also to all the Religious minorities of Pakistan.
The Christians and other religious Minorities being roped in false cases under the blasphemy law, in the year 2009 and 2010 many cases were registered against Christians in North of Punjab and being murdered by zealots to win heavens for themselves, recent example of this act can be seen in the case of Rashid Emmanuel and Sajjid Emmanuel, both were barbarically killed at the district Court of Faisalabad –Punjab. The zealots take the law in their hands and do not even wait for the judicial verdict. The Judgments and verdicts of the apexes Courts have proved that this law on Blasphemy is being ruthlessly abused for settling personal issues and of course for religious persecution. The law is proving to be a sword hanging on the heads of the Religious Minorities and moderate Muslims. The recent case of Asia Bibi has again upset the Christians, as she was falsely charged under the Blasphemy Law, and the session Court sentenced to death her under this law. However when she appeals to the President of Pakistan for Pardon, thousands of Muslims Clerics and political leaders demonstrated in the favor of her sentenced.
Moreover while visit the husband and daughters of Aisya Bibi we find out that the lives of the Asiya family is un-safe. Thousands of zealots are looking after them to wins the heavens for them selves, as well as the life of Asiya Noreen Bibi is also un-safe in Pakistan .
We therefore request you to do the needful to safe the Asiya Bibi and her family by providing them the Asylum in Europe. If Possible we would send you the Asylum request of Asiya Bibi and her family.
We would also like to inform you that there are many Christians and other Religious Minorities which are suffering with this Black Law , we as Organization desires to create a awareness amongst the local Society as well into the international Society about the discriminatory laws in Pakistan . We need international support in this cause.

Looking forward for your reply, many Blessings in Jesus Name.

I, remain,

Farrukh Harrison

Continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem

Ya'alon: Iran’s Nuke Program Set Back Three Years by Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu Ya'alon: Iran Nuke Plan Set Back

Iran now is at least three years away from being able to produce a nuclear bomb because of technical problems and sanctions, Strategic Affairs Minister Moshe Ya'alon told Voice of Israel government radio Wednesday.

Yaalon, a former IDF Chief of Staff and considered a leading “hawk” on Iran, said that “we are talking in terms of three years” before the Islamic Republic can achieve its presumed aim of producing a nuclear weapon. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said several times that Israel should be destroyed but has insisted that Iran’s nuclear program is intended for peaceful purposes.

Iran’s uranium enrichment facilities recently suffered severe damage from the Stuxnet virus. Israel has been widely mentioned as being behind the infection of Iran’s computers with the virus.

Despite the new time frame, Yaalon said that the United States eventually will have to take actions beyond sanctions to stop Iran, which he said “must choose between continuing to seek nuclear capability and surviving.”

The Obama administration has been hoping that local unrest in Iran will engineer an overthrow of the regime currently headed by Muslim clerics and Ahmadinejad, whose re-election last year was largely viewed as fraudulent, sparking widespread unrest until riot police and Iran’s Revolutionary Guards brutally subdued the protests.

London Terror Cell Targeted Rabbis by Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu UK Terrorists Targeted Rabbis

Britain revealed Tuesday that it arrested nine terrorists last week, five days before a planned “Christmas bomb blitz” that would have targeted two rabbis, among others. The names of the rabbis were not released, and authorities did not reveal several details of the planned attack.

All nine terrorists were either born in Britain or grew up there. Some of them are of Bangladeshi origin, according to the London Daily Mail.

Besides two rabbis, whose addresses were written on a list, other targets included a London tourist attraction, the London Stock Exchange, Mayor Boris Johnson, the dean of a cathedral and the American embassy.

The terrorist gang also had visited Big Ben, a McDonald's restaurant and other sites where large crowds gather.

They already had tested explosives in preparation for the bomb blitz, according to evidence presented in court. All of the men are under the age of 29 and were arrested in a series of dawn raids after London intelligence officers conducted a surveillance operation and recorded the cell’s conversation.

Publication of the arrests and charges against the terrorists coincided with charges by the Israeli Defense Ministry that the “Palestinian Return Center” is operating in London as the organizational arm of Hamas.

Where are the men?

By Pastor Max Solbrekken, D.D.
“And the children of Issachar, which were men who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.” (1 Chron.12: 32)
WHERE are the men among us today who understand the times and who know what we ought to do? The ability to understand ‘the times’, is undoubtedly a rare ability. And to know how to be proactive or reactive in each situation is equally important. There is a natural ability which comes from genetic inheritance, experience or observation!
There is also the spiritual gifting which comes directly from the Holy Spirit! God has given to His body, the Church, nine supernatural spiritual gifts which include the unique ‘Gift of the word of knowledge’ and the ‘Gift of the word of wisdom’.
“For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit.” (1 Cor.12: 8). The ‘gift of the word of knowledge’ is the supernatural ability to know things that are not naturally known and the ‘gift of the word of wisdom’ is the supernatural ability to know how to act or react to that knowledge!
God has so equipped His Church with these safeguards and tools to not only protect it but to thrust it forward in its task of building His Kingdom! Whether the ability to “understand the times” and to “know what to do” come to us through natural ability or supernatural gifts is immaterial. The important thing is that we are apprised of the situation, our eyes are wide open and our minds are alert to know, see and do the right things!
I pray for each one reading these lines that our dear Lord will grant unto all the ability to “know Him who to know is life eternal” and the desire to walk with Him in truth, sincerity and humility, trusting only in His merits for time and eternity!
And that we may understand the times and know what to do in order to keep our families safe from the filth and gutter slime so prevalent in our disintegrating society? To keep our children safe from this corrupt, wicked and perverted world? (2 John 1:1-9)
      The Bible admonishes: Wherefore He saith, Awake thou that sleepest and arise from the dead and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise;
“Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but UNDERSTANDING what the will of God is. And be not drunk with wine wherein is excess, but be filled with the Spirit.” (Eph.5: 14-18)
You may ask: “Where are the Men?” We have a real problem because we live in a society where many younger men have had no role model due to broken homes and absent Dads! The rage they have developed because of the ache in their hearts for a father often surfaces against their wives and children!
And it is even worse in common-law arrangements, hopping from one relationship to another, leaving behind bruised and hurting women and children, as well as heart broken men!
Large numbers of families are hurting because of stubborn foolish pride, self-centeredness, and demons of lust let loose through immoral movies, alcohol and drug abuse and pornography!
I blame the Devil that has blinded the eyes of religious leaders who have been asleep at the switch and didn’t see the approaching train filled with worldly pleasure, compromise and lethargy! And Parents who have allowed their children to change the rules and call the shots!
St. Paul stated: “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that that are lost. In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believed not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, Who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” (2 Cor.4: 3,4)
I blame our Politicians who have listened to the voices of the crowd crying: “Give us the Murderer Barabbas” and “Crucify Jesus the Christ: We won’t have Him to rule over us!” (Matt.27: 20-26).
Amazingly, politicians are often allowed to pass laws that are unhealthy, immoral and ungodly and believe that they can go scot-free, that there are no further consequences!
A good example is the ‘same-sex marriage’ or as it has been aptly called ‘man-on-man’ marriage, which our former corrupt, sleazy Government pushed through against the wishes of the majority of Canadians. Do they think that they had the last word on that? That they can get away with it?
Well, they won’t! It will come back to bite them in this life and the next! One day, every lawmaker, politician and judge that has contributed to the breakdown of society, destruction of marriages through perverted laws, knowingly releasing pedophiles and murderers into society to molest rape and kill, will stand before the greatest Judge of all to hear His verdict.
God’s Word states: “For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness.” (Romans 1: 18)
It means to suppress the truth and hide it from the people, to cover it up or water it down. It means to lie about the truth and promote the very opposite. It means to substitute another agenda that is carnal, fleshly and untruthful.
St. Paul warned: “Because that when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God…but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools. Wherefore GOD GAVE THEM UP to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves. Who changed the truth of God into a lie...
“For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature. And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust, one toward another…
“And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave then over to a REPROBATE MIND, to do those things which are not convenient.” (Romans 1: 21-28)
WARNING: “Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will Judge.” (Heb.13: 4)
The Bible warns perverts: “And Jesus called a little child unto Him and set him in the midst of them. And said: Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.
“But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in Me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” (Matt. 18: 2, 3, 6)
Every philosopher, theologian and preacher who suppresses the truth and perverts the teachings of Jesus Christ will have to stand before the Eternal Judge on the‘Day of Judgment’. Unbelievers will appear at the Great White Throne presided over by our Lord Jesus Christ:
     “And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God;
“And the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
And the sea gave up the dead that were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them; and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and Hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Rev.20: 11-15)
Believers in Christ will all appear at the Bema Seat Judgment. It is where followers of Jesus Christ will be judged for rewards or lack thereof depending on their works: Here are the words of Holy Scripture on this matter:
“Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of Him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” (2 Cor.5: 10)
The Bible commands believers to turn from sins that war against the soul and flee from the wrath to come, by abiding in Christ the sure rock of our salvation! St. Paul admonishes the church thusly: “If so be that ye have heard Him, and have been taught by Him, as the TRUTH is in Jesus:
“That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the new man which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
“Wherefore putting away lying, SPEAK EVERY MAN TRUTH WITH HIS NEIGHBOUR: for ye are members one of another. Neither give place to the devil.” (Eph.4: 21-27)
“I beseech ye therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God.” (Rom.12: 1,2)
     “Wherefore, seeing we also are compassed with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin  which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith;
“Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand at the throne of God.” (Heb.12: 1,2)
Jesus said to Nicodemus: “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God”. He asked: “How can these things be?” (John 3: 1-9). Jesus answered: “Art thou a Master of Israel, and knowest not these things? If I have told you earthly things and ye believe not, how shall ye believe if I tell you of heavenly things?”
“O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye discern the signs of the times?” (Matt.16:3)
                       WELL, WHAT TIME IS IT?
Jesus’ disciples asked Him: “Tell us, what shall be the sign of Thy coming and the end of the world?” (Matt.24: 3) Jesus warned: “Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in My name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceiver many.” (Matt.24: 4,5)
Then He warned of coming conflicts, wars, famines, pestilences, earthquakes, tsunamis, persecution, betrayals, hatred, false prophets, love of money, increase in sinfulness and backsliding.
The last sign was: “This Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the World as a witness and then shall the end come.” (Matt.24: 14). Before ascending to Heaven he was asked by His disciples: “Wilt Thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?”
He answered: “It is not for you to know the TIMES or the SEASONS which the Father hath put in His own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem and in Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” (Acts 1: 7, 8)
St. Paul warns: “For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus. For this is the will of God, even your SANCTIFICATION, that you should abstain from fornication.
“That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; not in the lust of concupiscence (sensual appetite, desire) even as the Gentiles (heathen) which know not God. For God hath not called us unto uncleanness but unto holiness. (1 Thes.4: 2-7)
In his novel, A Tale of Two Cities (1859) set in London and Paris before and during the French Revolution, Charles Dickens wrote:
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us.”
While Maximillien Robespierre and his gang of rebels almost destroyed France, God used John Wesley and his righteous, holy Methodists to save England from a similar tragedy!
THE BIBLE clearly states what the spiritual condition of the world will be like in the ‘Latter -Days’ or the ‘End-Times’ which point to the soon return of Jesus Christ. Here are some of those markers:
“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the LATTER TIMES some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. Speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their conscience seared with a hot iron. (1 Tim.4: 1-5)
This know, also that in the LAST DAYS perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good., traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” (2 Tim.1, 2)
Jesus warned: “But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came and took them all away.
“So, shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore; for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. Therefore, be ye also ready, for in such an hour as ye think not, the Son of man cometh.” (Matt.24: 37- 42, 44)
CONSIDER JESUS (Heb. 3:1- 4) There could never be any comparison between Jesus of Nazareth and any mortal man because He was not a man like any other. He was the “Son that was given and the Child that was born” (Isa.9: 6) He was virgin born, without any sin. He lived without sin and died without sin. When He died on the cross of shame, He atoned for our sins by meeting the demands of Divine Justice though His vicarious death for us all.
Jesus Christ was TRUE GOD from eternity and TRUE MAN. He was the Creator of the worlds, space and the entire cosmos, giver of life and redeemer of lost humanity. It was love that drew Him to earth to deliver us from the power of sin, sickness, fear, pain and the occult! He came here to deliver us from the devil and his evil power! (Col.1:13; Phil.2: 5-11; 1 John 3:8)
The Bible states unequivocally: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved.” (John 3:16, 17)
LOOK UNTO JESUS (Heb. 12:2): Don’t just look at Him but look unto
Him for forgiveness, counsel, comfort, healing. Go to Him with your needs
and watch Him work in your life! Draw your sustenance from Him. He is
Jehovah Jirah, the Lord our provider. He is Jehovah Ra-ah, the Lord our
Shepherd. He is Jehovah Rapha, the Lord our physician who heals us. He is
Jehovah Shammah, the Lord is present. He is Jehovah Tksidkenu, the Lord
our righteousness. He is Jehovah Nissi, the Captain of our Salvation who
fights our battles for us. He is Jehovah Shalom, the Lord our peace!
FOLLOW JESUS (Heb.13: 13): Take up your cross and become His Disciple. Serve Him. Live for Him. Look for His Return! (Matt.11: 28)
You will then become like the Sons of Issachar who understood the times and knew what Israel had to do! May God richly bless you as you draw near unto Him for He has promised to draw near unto you! (James 4: 8). He will accept you when you call upon His name in sincerity and faith. (John 6: 7)

Mohammed knew what his followers don't know

Rabbi Eliyahu: Islam is 'Zionist,' It Promises Israel to Jews by David Lev

Most Muslims today are not very knowledgeable in the basics of their religion, Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, Chief Rabbi of Tsfat,  told Israel National News in an interview. The outspoken rabbi, son of the revered  late Chief Rabbi of Israel,  Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu,  has been in the Israeli media recently, some villifying him over a ruling he gave against renting homes to Arabs.

"If Muslims were knowledgeable",
he continued, "they would realize that G-d has given the Land of Israel to the Jewish people, and they would stop fighting a  historical imperative, and acknowledge what their own religious literature says – as the Arabs who fled Israel in 1948 did".

“Mohammed says very clearly that the Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people, and that G-d will gather them up out of exile at the end of days. This is true Islam; and Muslim clerics who say otherwise are using their religion to incite, and act against the wishes of G-d,” Rabbi Eliyahu says.

Although he was speaking to Israel National News, Rabbi Eliyahu's message is aimed primarily at Muslims themselves – and he told them exactly what he thinks in another interview, in the Israeli Arabic language newspaper Al-Sanara. The paper asked to interview Rabbi Eliyahu after the halakhic ruling he issued forbidding Jews in Tsfat to rent apartments to Arab students studying in a college on the city. In that ruling, Rabbi Eliyahu cited numerous cases of harassment, theft, personal crimes, and worse, against Jewish residents of the city.

“This is not something I made up,” Rabbi Eliyahu told Al-Sanara. “This was said by rabbis 100, 500, and 1,000 years ago. These are the words of G-d Himself, and we have no right to change those words,” he told Al-Sanara. Despite this, he told the paper, there was no racism whatsoever behind this position. “We believe in treating all people fairly, as they were all created in the image of G-d. But Arabs who support Hizbullah and Hamas certainly cannot be expected to be regarded as 'good neighbors' by us,” he told the paper.

“In my interview with Al-Sanara, I stressed the words of the Koran, citing four different portions where the angels or Mohammed state clearly that G-d has given the Land of Israel to the Jewish people,” Rabbi Eliyahu explained to Israel National News. “Most Muslims, I have found, do not have a good knowledge of their religion, and many have not even read the Koran. When they have a religious question they ask a sheikh, but the do not know their own faith. If they did, they would know what Mohammed said about the Land of Israel belonging to the Jews.”

That wasn't necessarily the case in the past, said Rabbi Eliyahu.
“In my opinion, the Arabs who fled Israel when the state was established in 1948 left because they knew the truth,” he said. “The story that they left because the Arab leaders told them to flee for a few days while they destroyed the Jews was invented later. But the Arabs of Israel were not fools – here in Tsfat we had lawyers, accountants, and other professionals, who would not have been foolish enough to leave their homes because some politician from Jordan or Egypt told them to.”

The reason they left, he said, was because they knew the truth.
“They understood that G-d had fulfilled their promise to the Jewish people, and the time had come to leave,” Rabbi Eliyahu said. “A truly religious person knows they cannot fool G-d. This is one issue that both the Tanach and the Koran agree on  - that the Land of Israel belongs to the Jews. I appreciate Al-Sanara for giving me the opportunity to tell Muslim readers the truth.”

Liberals & Socialists have lost their way in Canada

Ignatieff steers clear of C-word
December 21, 2010 12:00am

Michael Ignatieff’s Christmas card isn’t a Christmas card.
It’s a “holiday” card. It has a Jewish menorah on it, which is great. Fully 1% of Canadians are Jewish and though Hanukkah was three weeks ago, it’s a nice thought.
The card has some snowflakes on it, too, and mittens and a gingerbread man (or a ghost, it’s not clear). Those are symbols of winter. Which is great, because it is winter time.
But there’s not a single Christian symbol on the card, the religion of the majority of Canadians. It’s the faith our Queen Elizabeth is officially the “defender” of, the religion that inspired the names of so many places in this country, from the St. Lawrence Seaway to St. John’s.
It is the religion whose cross adorns the coats of arms of almost every province, the religion from whose Bible comes Canada’s motto, “From sea to sea.” Our anthem asks God to keep our land, and the French version says we will “carry the cross.”
Even the Charter of Rights begins with the reminder that neither judges nor politicians are at the apex of Canadian society, but rather both are under the “supremacy of God.”
Jack Layton is slightly less embarrassed of Canada’s Christian character than Ignatieff, actually bringing himself to utter the word “Christmas” in his Christmas greetings. Last year’s message from him on Christmas Day used the C-word, but didn’t have much Christianity in it other than that. He said Christmas was a time to “laugh together” and a chance to talk about “lost jobs” and promising that the NDP “will do whatever we can.” Sounds more like an NDP convention, other than the laughing part.
Religion? Not a drop of it. Politics? But of course.
But compare that to Layton’s NDP greetings for the Muslim holiday of Eid ul Fitr last year. Layton didn’t talk about laughing or the NDP jobs plan. He had much more respect than that. He said that Muslim religious holiday was “an opportunity to renew the spirit and faith in Islam. We are not celebrating the end of Ramadan, but thanking Allah for the help and strength given throughout this special month and asking for that blessing to be extended throughout the year to all of humanity.” Note the use of the first person — Layton uses the word “we”. He personally wants to extend Allah’s blessings to all humanity. He wants to renew Islamic faith.
Could you imagine him or Ignatieff or frankly most Conservative MPs saying they want to extend Christ’s blessings throughout Canada? The mainstream media would have an embolism — remember when Stephen Harper dared to say “God Bless Canada after his speeches — and the Canadian Human Rights Commission would launch a hate-speech investigation.
Canada is a Christian country. Thank God that it is. Because it is precisely that Christian spirit of tolerance and charity that has accepted millions of refugees from countries that are less enlightened — and that don’t value freedom of religion for anyone.
Queen Elizabeth isn’t the only head of state who is also the head of a religious institution. So is King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, who enforces the Koran as that country’s constitution. Iran is called the Islamic Republic of Iran, etc.
Which is precisely why the flow of refugees is from enslaved Arabia to the Christian West, and not the other way around.
Merry Christmas.

naive former community organizer barak obama has failed to understand terrorist threat

Representative Peter King (R-NY) says he'll call for hearings into the radicalization of Muslim Americans when he takes over as chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security in the new congressional term.
In an interview on FOX's "America Live," King said "We have to break through this politically correct nonsense which keeps us from debating and discussing what I think is one of the most vitally important issues in this country. We are under siege by Muslim terrorists and yet there are Muslim leaders in this country who do not cooperate with law enforcement."
And he also notes a rise in terrorist recruitment in the United States saying, "We have the reality that Al-Qaida is trying to recruit Muslim-Americans, and yet we have people in the Muslim community who refuse to face up to this."
King cites foiled terror plots to bomb Times Square and the New York Subway, the 2009 Fort Hood shootings, and arrests of who he calls "homegrown Muslim terrorists" in Texas, Chicago, Virginia, New Jersey, San Diego and Portland, Oregon as examples of the type of radicalization on which the hearings would focus.
But some Muslim groups have said such hearings would be an anti-Muslim witch hunt and lead to an era of McCarthy-type hearings.
"Rep. King has dedicated years of his career peddling extremist rhetoric and baseless claims concerning the Muslim community and its leadership," said Faiza Ali, community affairs director of the New York chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations. "Instead of promoting counterproductive strategies that risk alienating partners within the community, Rep. King would better serve our nation if he actually engaged mainstream American Muslim leaders and organizations on issues related to national security."
But the congressman says he'll use the hearings to drill deeper into the divisive issue and points out that Muslims themselves are most susceptible to being victims of terrorism. "The immediate victims are Muslims themselves, whose sons and daughters could end up being killed as suicide bombers," he said.

Franklin Graham: Man of God!

Franklin Graham: Palin's Compassion Touched Haitians' Hearts
Thursday, 16 Dec 2010 12:38 PM
By Henry J. Reske and Kathleen Walter

Sarah Palin’s visit to the earthquake-ravaged Haiti showed she is not “afraid to get her hands dirty,” says the Rev. Franklin Graham. The former Alaska governor is a “woman of strong principle and no question she has a strong faith in God,” the son of renowned evangelist Billy Graham said during a Newsmax.TV interview in which he discussed his hosting her Haitian visit.

“I showed her what Samaritan’s Purse has done” to alleviate the suffering from the killer earthquake and a hurricane this year, said Graham, president of the international relief organization. “We have built over 10,000 shelters for people to live in. We have set up entire communities across the Port-au-Prince area, but more importantly there is a cholera epidemic now and this cholera epidemic was understated . . . This could be a huge, huge problem. We have already 2,000 people dead.”

The January earthquake killed more than 200,000 people and left more than 1 million homeless. The poverty-stricken country was hit with a cholera epidemic in October and then widespread flooding after Hurricane Tomas in early November.

Samaritan’s Purse has set up two clinics, including one with 200 beds, to treat a disease so deadly in can kill in hours, Graham told Newsmax.TV in the exclusive interview.

Graham, who said he has worked with Palin on a number of projects in Alaska, invited her to Haiti to view the relief efforts. Accompanying her on the tour last weekend were her husband, Todd, and daughter Bristol.

The former GOP vice-presidential candidate “has tremendous compassion for people, she loves people, and she cares deeply about people,” Graham said.
“She was an encouragement not only to the staff and to the relief workers (but) even to the Haitian people who didn’t know her,” Graham said.

“She came in with her smile. She would sit on the cots. Now, you have to understand a cholera clinic, these cots have been soaked in urine, and fecal matter, and vomit. Cholera is a horrible thing, and she just sat right there in the middle of it, holding peoples’ hands, talking to people, holding babies, it was an amazing thing. She’s quite a lady and not afraid to get her hands dirty.”
The topic of whether Palin will run for president did not come up, Graham said. News reports about her visit have quoted her as saying it wasn’t time to be political. Instead, she said as she ended her two-day visit, “I do urge Americans not to forget Haiti."

As for Graham’s appraisal of Palin, he said: “When you read her book ‘Going Rogue,’ she gives a testimony on how she gave her life to God. And the last page of her book ‘Going Rogue,’ she mentions or says to the reader if you haven’t done what I’ve done, I encourage you to do it. And she invites a person to invite God into their heart, their life. I’ve seen the governor on a number of occasions and no question her faith is a big part of her life — that’s who she is. She’s a believer in Jesus Christ, a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, that’s just her makeup. It’s her DNA.”

A Blessed Christmas To All

God With Us!
By Pastor Max Solbrekken, D.D.

“Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign:  Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a Son, and shall call His name Emmanuel.” (Is. 7:14). “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
“Of the increase of His government and peace, there will be no end. Upon the throne of David and over His Kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice, from that time forward, even forever.” (Is. 9: 6,7)
“… His visage was marred more than any man, And His form more than the sons of men. He is despised and rejected (forsaken) by men, A Man of sorrows (lit. pains) and acquainted with grief. (lit. sicknesses) And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised and we did not esteem Him.” (Is.52: 14; 53: 3)
“Surely He has borne our sicknesses (heb. makob) and carried our pains (heb. nasa); yet we esteemed Him smitten of God and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised (crushed) for our iniquities; The chastisement of our peace was upon Him; And by His stripes we are healed.” (Is. 53: 4, 5)
“All we like sheep have gone astray. We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth. Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise (crush) Him.” (Is. 53: 6, 7, 10)
“Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the Word of His power, when He had BY HIMSELF purged our sins, sat down on the Majesty on High.” (Heb.1: 1-3)

                                             FAIR-WEATHER CHRISTIANS

A visiting missionary arrived at the Vancouver Airport on a Sunday morning. As the Pastor hurriedly drove toward the church, it seemed as though every light was green.  Overjoyed, he jubilantly exclaimed, My, isn’t it wonderful how we have had only green lights.  We haven’t even encountered one red light all the way from the airport.  Surely, God is with us”!
The missionary wisely replied, “If we would have hit only red lights along the way this morning, would God have still been with us”?
A 28 year-old preacher died in an East European Communist prison during the 1970s.  He had been incarcerated for eight years for telling little children about Jesus!
Beaten, bruised, tortured and brainwashed, he finally succumbed to the guard’s brutality and they found him dead one morning in a pool of blood on the dungeon floor.  Vital organs had ruptured as a result of the traumatic beatings and he hemorrhaged blood until he died.
In the last minutes of life he had managed to stagger to the dungeon wall and with his finger write his testimony in his own blood.  So great was the impact of his testimony that the guards who found him the next morning accepted Christ as their Saviour. And they passed the story to Pentecostal Christians in Western Europe, via the underground route!
THIS IS WHAT HE WROTE: “I believe in the sun even when it’s not shining and I believe in love even though I feel it not. And I believe in God even when He is silent, so by faith I’ll hold on to what I have got”!
He hadn’t seen the sun in 8 years.  He had felt and seen only hatred from his captors and for eight long years he had prayed for release from that living hell without an answer, but still he believed in God!  Hallelujah!
Even when things go wrong, we still have God’s abiding presence!  How wonderful, that God is with us always.  He never leaves us nor forsakes us.  In good times or bad times; in joy or sorrow; in sickness or health!  God is with us - Praise His Holy Name.
THERE IS HOPE IF GOD IS WITH US!
More than seven hundred years before the birth of Jesus of Nazareth, the prophet Isaiah - speaking by divine inspiration - declared that God would give His Son to become the Saviour of the world.
The Book of Isaiah is aptly called ‘The Gospel of the Old Testament’.  How precious to read of the birth, life and death of Christ in this Old Testament Gospel.
It is good news that even “before the foundation of the world”, God had a perfect plan in place for our salvation through the virgin birth, sinless life, vicarious death and glorious resurrection of Jesus the Christ, the Messiah of Israel.
He would be rejected by men and judged by God – because of our sins - but brought back to life and restored to a place of glorification with His Father, so that you and I can receive eternal life.
The Sign of the Virgin Birth - What a Miracle!  To be supernaturally begotten by the Blessed Holy Spirit and born naturally of a virgin mother.  Talk about confounding the mouths and minds of those who rejected Him.

                                            IT ALMOST BLOWS THE MIND!

No wonder the Bible says: “The natural man understandeth not the things of the Spirit of God for they are spiritually discerned”. (1 Cor. 2:14)  Again the Scripture declares: “Had they known who He was they would not have rejected the Prince of life”. (1 Cor.2: 8)
They tried to reason it all out and couldn’t. The intellectuals failed miserably; and they are still messing up today trying to incorporate Jesus the Christ, into their natural-minded stereotype.  It can’t be done!
Why can’t puny little man take God’s Word at face value - accept the Gospel of Christ for what it’s worth and embrace it all, including the supernatural aspects of:  (1) Who He is, (2) Why He came, (3) What He did, (4) What it all means, (5) How it relates to us today?
But NO, the egotistical, proud earthling wants to find his own way, chart his own course and fly his own craft to the stars!  The Bible says, “He came unto His own, and His own received Him not.  But to as many as received Him, to them gave He the power to become the sons of God”. (John 1:11-12)
What a position we enjoy as redeemed blood-bought children of God.  I can hardly contain it all! Salvation is a FREE gift from our Creator!
COMPLEX? Yes, God’s part was profound, complex and elaborate! Our part, however, is easy! It is so simple that many feel it is too elementary.  It’s a fact of life that in everything from religion to politics, people like to make things as complex as possible.  Yet no tool or gadget is as good and effective as the one that is user-friendly.  The simpler anything operates the more valuable it is and the more reliable and easy to maintain!
Here is the plain, simple and yet profound truth:  “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved”. (John 3:16-17)
Jesus confirmed that statement when He declared: “They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance”. (Mark 2:17); “The Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost”. (Luke 19:10)

                                                        WHO IS JESUS CHRIST?

Emmanuel ... “The prophet answered by saying, And shall call His name Emmanuel. (Is. 7:14); “…Which being interpreted is, God with us.” (Matt. 1:22-23)

Jesus ... “And she shall bring forth a Son, and thou shalt call His name Jesus.” (heb. Yeshua ~ meaning ‘The Salvation of God; the God who saves, heals, makes well, protects, delivers’)

Saviour ... “For He shall save His people from their sins.” (Matt.8: 21); “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:11)

     The Lord ... “And thou, child, (John the Baptist) shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord (Jesus Christ) to prepare His ways.” (Luke 1:76);

Lamb of God …“The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto Him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” (John1: 29)

The Christ, Anointed One, Messiah ... “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.” (Matt. 16:16)

                                                   WHAT JESUS SAID OF HIMSELF!
·         “Before Abraham was I am.” (John 8:58; Ex. 3:14)
·         “Moses wrote of Me.” (John 5: 46)
·         “I am the Bread of Life.” (John 6:35; 6:41, 48, 51)
·         “I am the Light of the World.” (John 8:12)
·         “I am the Door.” (John 10:7)
·         “I am the Good Shepherd.” (John 10:11)
·         “I am the Resurrection and the Life.” (John 11:25)
·         “I am He (the Christ).” (John 4:25-26)
·         “I am from Above.” (John 8:23-24, 28)
·         “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.” (John 14:6)
·         “I am the True Vine.” (John 15
·         “I am the Alpha and Omega.” (first and last) (Rev. 1:8)
·         “I am the Almighty.” (Rev. 1:8; Is. 9:14)
                                     CHARLES TEMPELTON THE ATHEIST!
In the 1980’s the well-known radio commentator and author CHARLES TEMPLETON from Toronto was a guest on ‘Night Watch’, our 2-hour weekly radio talk show. When I questioned him about his agnosticism and relationship to Christ, he replied: “Jesus, in my estimation is a moral genius...He has influenced my life more than any other person that has ever lived”!  That’s quite a statement.
I asked, “Do you believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God”?  Charles Templeton answered, “No, I do not believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God”! Then I pinned him with this question:  “How can Jesus Christ be a moral genius and also be a colossal liar, for He claimed He was the Son of God”?
He had no answer and mumbled something inconsequential. Then, I asked him: “Charles, were you ever really born again?” He stated: “Born again? Why, we even fasted for revival?” Then, I dropped a bomb shell: “Did you receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit? Did you ever speak in tongues?”
He answered: “We didn’t believe in that!” I ended the conversation, saying: “That was your problem, Charles. You were trying to do it in your own strength. You didn’t rely on the blessed Holy Spirit.”
Before he died in 1996, the man who preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ together with Dr. Billy Graham had descended to the status of an atheist. His last book was titled, Farewell God’. My time with him on the radio was precious. He was warm toward me and invited me to stop in to see him in Toronto sometime, and my only regret is that I did not do so!
I was to debate him once on CKY TV Winnipeg on Ray Torgrud’s program, but weather prevented him from making the flight. On another occasion my son, Ken Solbrekken - who is presently the Alberta District Superintendent with the PAOC - filled in for me in a debate with Charles Templeton hosted by Ron Collister on Radio CJCA in Edmonton.
During an announcement break, a lady called to say that she had been converted through Charles Templeton’s Ministry and as a result worked for years as a Missionary in a foreign country! Ken remarked that Charles was moved by her call!
In his book The Case For Faith’ Lee Strobel tells of his interview with Charles Templeton. Speaking about Jesus, the self acclaimed atheist made a powerful statement. Here is an excerpt from Strobel’s book:
"Abruptly, Templeton cut short his thoughts. There was a brief pause, almost as if he was uncertain whether he should continue.
'Uh ... but ... no,' he said slowly, 'he's the most ...' He stopped, then started again. 'In my view,' he declared, 'he is the most important human being who ever existed.'     That's when Templeton uttered the words I never expected to hear from him. 'And if I may put it this way,' he said in a voice that began to crack, 'I ... miss ... him!'     With that tears flooded his eyes. He turned his head and looked downward, raising his left hand to shield his face from me. His shoulders bobbed as he wept."
WHAT DO THE SCRIPTURES SAY OF HIM?
The Bible says: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made.  In Him was life; and the life was the light of man.” (John 1:1-4)
            God...hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, Whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by Whom also He made the worlds;
     Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
“Being made so much better than the angels, as He hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.” (Heb. 1:2-4)
“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He doth judge and make war.
His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and He had a name written, that no man knew, but He Himself. And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called the Word of God.
“And the armies which were in heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.  And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He hath on His vesture and His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” (Rev. 19:11-16)
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” (Is. 9:6)

WHAT DOES GOD THE FATHER SAY OF HIM?

“For unto which of the angels said He at any time, Thou art My Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to Him a Father, and He shall be to me a Son?
“And again, when He bringeth in the first begotten (the first in rank) into the world, He saith, And let all the angels of God worship Him.
“But unto the Son He saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever:  A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Thy kingdom.  Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even Thy God, hath anointed Thee with the oil of gladness above Thy fellows.
“And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of Thine hands.  They shall perish, but thou remainest: and they shall be changed:  but Thou art the same and Thy years shall not fail.”
“But to which of the angels said He any time, Sit on My right hand, until I make Thine enemies Thy footstool?” (Heb. 1:5-6, 8-13; Ps. 2:7)
“And Jesus, when He was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon Him:
“And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (Matt. 3:16-17)
“While He yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased: hear ye Him.” (Matt. 17:5)

WHAT DOES  THE HOLY SPIRIT SAY OF HIM?

“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, Whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I (Jesus) have said unto you.” (John 14:26)
“But when the Comforter is come, Whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, He shall testify of Me.” (John 15:26)
“Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will show you things to come.  He shall glorify Me: for He shall receive of Mine, and shall show it unto you.” (John 16:13-14)

WHAT DO THE PROPHETS SAY OF HIM?

“...which God hath spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.  For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; Him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever He shall say unto you.
“And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.  Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.” (Acts 3:21-24)
“Then He said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into His glory? And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, He expounded unto them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.” (Luke 24:25-27)
“To Him give all the prophets witness, that through His name whosoever believeth in Him shall receive remission of sins.” (Acts 10:43)
It is also important to know what His mother had to say about Jesus:  “And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.” (Luke 1: 46, 47); “His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever He saith unto you, do it.” (John 2:5)

                                                    WHY DID JESUS COME?

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace.  In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
“...That He (Jesus) should give eternal life to as many as Thou hast given Him.  And this is life eternal, that they might know Thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom Thou hast sent.” (John 17:2-3)
“Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by Him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.” (Acts 13:38-39)
“For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:10; Matt. 18:11)
“...For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” (1 John 3:8)
“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities:  the chastisement of our peace was upon Him: and with His stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5; Matt. 8:16-17)
“...Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” (Luke 24:46-47)
“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:  Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
“And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.  Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name:
“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth: And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Phil. 2:5-11)
“Who (God) hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son.” (Col. 1:13); “And (Jesus) having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.” (Col. 2:15)
“But as many as received Him, to them gave He the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:” (John 1:12)
“For the Father judgeth no man, but hath quickened them; even so the Son quickeneth whom He will.  For all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father.
“He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent Him.  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth My word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation: but is passed from death unto life.” (John 5:22-24)
“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” (John 3:36)
“Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on Me, believeth not on Me, but on Him that sent Me.” (John 12:44); “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth Me, and he that receiveth Me receiveth Him that sent Me.” (John 13:20)
“Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me: or else believe Me for the very works’ sake.  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father.
“And whatsoever ye shall ask in Me name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  If ye shall ask anything in My name, I will do it.  If ye love Me, keep My commandments.
“And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him, but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.  I will not leave you comfortless:  I will come to you.” (John 14:11-18)
“But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:  and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)
“And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be damned.
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” (Mark 16:15-18)
“Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in Me.  In My Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” (John 14:1-3)
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:  For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” (Matt. 7:7-8)
“Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matt. 11:28)
“So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” (Heb. 9:28)
“Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them.” (Heb. 7:25)

GOD IS WITH US - EMMANUEL!

When God made Salvation’s Plan, He included you and me - We are the recipients of His divine grace!  Hallelujah!
The Bible says, “No good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.” (Ps. 84:11); For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Rom. 10:13)
“How great and majestic is the glorious salvation of our Blessed Christ and Redeemer.  The very word ‘Jesus’ in both Hebrew and Greek means ‘Saviour’.  The angel spoke to Joseph in Hebrew and said “Ye shall call His name Jesus (the salvation of God) and He shall save (salvage) His people from their sins”. (Matt. 1:21)
What good news, God is with us - Jesus is God and He is with us.  God is not only with us but through the baptism of the Holy Ghost, He is in us!
Jesus said, “And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth: whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you and shall be in you.
“I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you”. (John 14:16-18)  Note these precious words:  “At that day ye shall know that I am in My Father, and ye in Me, and I in you”. (v. 20)
And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” (Acts 2:4)
GOD IS WITH US AND ALSO IN US.  HOW MARVELLOUS, HOW WONDERFUL!  Let this Scripture grip your heart as it has mine:
“He that hath My commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth Me: and he that loveth Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love Him, and will manifest Myself to him.” (John 14:21)
Oh, what a Saviour we have! Oh, what a Gospel is ours! The songwriter penned these glorious words: Blessed assurance Jesus is mine. Oh, what a foretaste of Glory Divine, Heir of salvation, purchase of God; Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood. This is my story, this is my song; Praising my Saviour all the day long.’
The Apostle Paul spared no words in assuring us of God’s great power that is available and readily accessible to His people.  Let me share only a few:
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.” (Rom. 8:28)
AND WE KNOW! There is nothing ambiguous, doubtful or uncertain here! Definite, absolute and unfailing are the promises of God.  We need not worry, fret or doubt.
St. Paul knew many things about our Blessed Lord and His marvellous salvation which unfortunately, many so-called preachers seem to be ignorant of or doubtful about today.
This Scripture gives one of the keys to his success: namely, his sincere desire to know Jesus in a deeper and fuller way: “That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection...” (Phil. 3:10)
Here are more of his confessions of faith: “...I know in whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day.” (2 Tim. 1:12)
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For Thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come. Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Rom. 8:35-39)
“If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Rom. 8:31);  “Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s Elect?  It is God that justifieth.  Who is he that condemneth?  It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us”. (Rom. 8:33-34)

Let me share with you a little about the great miracle that happened at Dothan.  A miracle of God’s power, provision and grace, indeed!
It was told to the King of Syria that the reason he was unable to defeat the Israelites was due to Prophet Elisha’s supernatural God-given gifts whereby he was able to warn Israel of the plans, designs and purposes of their enemy!
The King then sent his army to Dothan to capture the prophet. Elisha’s servant was greatly concerned when he saw the place surrounded by hostile men of war.  He cried out, “Alas my master, How shall we do”?
The Prophet answered:  “Fear not, for they that be with us are more than they that be with them”. (2 Kings 6:16)  Elisha then prayed for God to open the spiritual eyes of the young man and he saw, “The mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha”. (v. 17)
Jesus said, “All power is given unto Me in Heaven and in earth...and lo I am with you always, even unto the end of the world”. (Matt. 28:18-30). WHAT A PROMISE!
I am with you always!  Even to the very end of the age.” Our Lord said, “...I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee”. (Heb. 13:5) The literal Greek is even stronger. Using a double imperative Jesus actually said: “I will never, no never leave thee. I will never, no never forsake thee!” Hallelujah!
He will be with us in good times and bad times, in sickness and in health, in success or failure, in testing, trials, tragedies and sorrows.  He will be with us in times of poverty or prosperity right to the END; including the journey through the valley of the shadow of death! (Ps. 23)
Jesus promised, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand.  My Father, which gave them Me, is greater than all: and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father’s hand”. (John 10:27-29)

St. Paul said, “Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.  But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul”. (Heb. 10:38-39)
Remember, dear friend:  “But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin”. (1 John 1:7)
We must never forget that there are conditions as well as promises: “If ye shall ask anything in My name, I will do it.  If ye love Me, keep My commandments.” (John 14:14-15)
St. Paul said “In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.” (Rom. 8:37); “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”. (Phil. 4:13)
We can do the same because God is: “No respecter of persons, places or times”. (Acts 10:34) And our dear Lord has not, cannot and will not change because: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.” (Heb. 13:8)
This final truth: “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them (evil spirits): because GREATER IS HE that is in you (Jesus, the Holy Spirit) than he (the devil) that is in the world.” (1 John 4: 4)
“Submit yourselves unto God, resist the devil and he SHALL FLEE FROM YOU.” (James 4: 7); “Be sobre, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist steadfast in the faith…” (1 Peter 5: 8)  Amen.
